For head writer, I would've suggested Komura, but she's currently busy with Gavv. Feels unlikely to see Inoue (Toshiki) or Takano again so soon. Arakawa has already written 4 official Sentai and he's probably still recovering from the stress of working on Kiramager during a painful year in real life.

So, if we look to the recent 10s, perhaps we're due to see the return of Shimoyama, Mouri or Yamaoka, all of whom have only written one Sentai each so far. Shimoyama wrote the best-selling Rider show of all time, which was the 20th Heisei Rider, so it would make sense to try and capture that success for the 50th Sentai.

I like bears and all, but I think it's too soon for another silver and gold Sixth after Don Dragokuu/Torabolt. I wouldn't mind a pure silver one though, since the last one was Kirama Silver.

I'm ruling out mouri because he's busy with something else, the same goes for shimoyama. Not sure abaout yamaoka tough.

I personally wanted to see a sentai written by either satoru nishizono, atsushi maekawa, ai oota, masanao akahoshi, or toshizo nemoto. Aikawa sentai is fine too

Depends on the other staffs. The idea for the guest riders came from takebe; the time traveling format is tasaki's idea. Shimoyama (and mouri probably) just rolls with whatever he was given.

(P.S. i'd imagine that the directors rotation would've been: Kato-Takemoto-Tasaki)

Out of curiosity, did sentai shows this past decade have someone completely new like Muto who wrote for Build? I can't seem to remember if they did.

I believe Ryusoulger's main writer had never done Toku before

Ryusoulger's yamaoka; kingohger's takano; bunbunger's tomioka. Most of the secondary writers in ryusoul and bunbun are sentai newbies

Well, Takebe's doing Gavv and Ohmori retired from Toei, so I guess Shirakura might be a safe bet for producer.

aw man I can?t wait for every episode to introduce a new toy they can sell that will never show up again and for the plot to only be entertaining because of a mystery box, leaving the ten episodes after the mystery is solved to be incredibly repetitive and unsatisfying

Anyway, animals feel weird for an anniversary season. I don?t think we know if it?s animals in general specifically so I think it would be funny if it just turned out to be a dog themed Sentai season.

According to the rumors, Gozyuger is already going to be a Liveman/Go-Onger palette. And yeah, doesn't have to get too dark, since one of the things people love about Build is the comedy and how the characters keep high spirits and fight for love and peace despite all the terrible tragic stuff happening around them.

To be fair, that's more of a Bandai problem than a Muto problem. The writer is obliged to integrate the merchandise somehow, even if it means throwing a watch at a Rider's head. Some shows like Build just have more stuff to sell.

Actually the safest theme. Other popular themes, such as ninjas, cars and dinosaurs, are still more fan themes. I mean, even in a group of friends, not everyone will enthusiastically talk about ninjas. The original spy/military motif is even more so. It's better to try something new in the post-anniversary year (especially since it already seems to me that the celebration will drag on for two seasons). In other hand everyone loves animals, even if some only love them on video and/or in toy form. Even the two recent super-popular Sentai that stopped the decline in sales are technically animal themed Sentai. So there is definitely logic in this choice.

No, but the name gojyuger is, for now, enough to speculate it to be an animal-themed team.

I guess it just feels weird because it’s like, the 50th, you know? I was kind of expecting something a bit more avant-garde for the theme, something that really celebrates it. I think there are ways you can do that without just doing something like Gokaiger or Zenkaiger again, but I guess Zenkaiger was weird enough the don’t want to take the risk?

The emblem kinda resembles an animal paw now that I think about it. Also the gem on the emblem...

Given that it's explicitly a wolf shape, I'm wondering whether this might be akin to "wolf pack sentai." Most of the letters are stylized like bitey jaws.

The number 1 stuff aside, I wonder if this could be a Gingaman-ish show with a pinch of Norse mythology influences. As for the "number 1" aspect of the title, I just realized the 1 could be further proof that red ranger being a wolf is likely more than ever, or at the least, a canine of some sort.
This is because "ワン (pronounced wan)" is also the onomatopoeia for barking noises that canines make in the Japanese language. A good example of this wordplay can be spotted in Tatsunoko's anime Yatterman, where their first mecha is the Yatter Wan, a canine-like robot whose latter part of the name is a wordplay on the number 1 and the barking noise of a canine.

Could be a fantasy-animal sentai in the same vein of dairanger and gingaman. I thought that since bunbun is a scifi sentai, the next being a fantasy wouldn't be out of place

So the katakana is really a big part of the title after all, like, it's strongly emphasizing that No.1.

Huh, the far right edge is quite stubby, so that must be the thumb. I guess it's safe to assume that the jagged round graphic thing is supposed to represent a hand that has all five fingers spread out with the ring on the middle finger like you pointed out.

And the whole image is a circle/ring.

Actually, looking at it with the knowledge that rings are this year's collectible, and that the gem does, indeed, look like that from a ring: The shapes in the center are the fingers, and the whole image is punching (or fist-bumping) toward the viewer. The points at the top are knuckle-claws, consistent with the wolf/animal theme.

Come to think of it, this is a pretty interesting text approach given this will spend part of the year airing next to Kamen Rider Gavv, which also has bitey, bitey letters.

the suit is kinda bland with the circle in the middle (at the chest/torso area). Maybe if animal symbols to represent each ranger's corresponding animal were added it would make it more lively?

I reckon their motif or some image will light up when they activate their special abilities, maybe, Visionaries style.

That's correct, Gozyu Unicorn is female. Lion was also rumored to be female, but based on the poster, it would appear to be debunked.
