Why haven't we gotten any media exposure for Jessica Drew? She's awesome! I can't be the only one who thinks this... can I?

I started rereading Uncanny Avengers and like everything Rick Remender does this reads great back to back. Its incredible what things he mentions in earlier issues that pay off big time in later ones.

I was a big fan of Jessica Drew in days long gone by. I haven't read anything with her (or comics in general) since the mid-80s though. I watched the cartoon like crazy back then, too. I'd love to see her crop up in other media, though. I imagine she's tied up with the Spider-Man rights these days, though.

So I finally decided to drop Hulk once Gerry Duggan takes over that book in august. i didnt really care for his wirting on Marvel Now Deadpool and his direction for the book is not really something I´m interested in.

Except Marvel Studios has the animation rights to all of their properties, as far as I can tell.

It's a shame--I want to see her goofing around with Captain Marvel and fighting Skrulls with the Avengers.

Jessica Drew is not included in the Spider-Man rights as far as I know. She was never a big Spider-Man supporting character and is much more associated with Hydra and therefore Captain America/Shield/Avengers.

Ah, I was thinking live-action. I don't really watch any animated series these days.

Hrm. I'm almost positive I read somewhere that she was included in the rights Sony picked up. I'll have to track down where I did so.

Depends when they required her rights though. Its quite possible that they already reverted back to Marvel since sony didnt use her in any of their movies.

Good point, I'm pretty sure it was a while ago when I read that. Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll show up on Netflix somewhere. :D

Agents of Shield would be a great place for her to show up. It would fit really good since that show has alot of Hydra in it.

Or Avengers Assemble, considering her status as an Avenger. Same with Daredevil (although the upcoming Netflix series will probably boost his popularity).

I'd be fine if they included the Ultimate version of Jessica Drew, too, but I would prefer the mainstream version.

I´m not as familiar with that one. Havent read much Ultimate to be honest.

I haven't gotten to that part of Ultimate Spider-Man yet, but I did read "Ultimate Clone Saga," and she was pretty cool in that.

Johnny Storm made out with her, once. It made Peter feel incredibly awkward.

I dropped Ultimate back when the whole Venom Saga started so I just got glimpses of her. I didnt even know that she was a clone of Peter :lol

I'm making my way through Ultimate Spider-Man (although I read a few volumes beforehand). I have to wait for my library to buy some of the trades that they don't have, but so far, the only real disappointment was Ultimate Six, and that wasn't really a Spider-Man story to begin with.

But Jessica is still awesome.

The only big Ultimate things I´ve read were the first two trades of Ultimate Spidey, X-Men, the first run on the Ultimates and the first three or so arcs of Ultimate Spidey, Ultimates and Ult X-Men after Parker had died.

I've read Ultimate Spider-Man up to Issue #53, "Carnage," "Clone Saga," "Death of the Goblin," the first 14 issues of the second volume, and "Death of Spider-Man."

Oh, and Spider-Men.

Is that one any good? I heard very mixed things about it.

Finished reading the first seventeen issues of Uncanny Avengers in pretty much one go and it was so much fun...well as much fun as the end of the world can be :lol

Its just incredible how well this book reads as one big piece.

Is there a particular reason people don't like Fear Itself?

I found Fear Itself to be kinda boring. It was mostly just action and very little plot. Also for a book called Fear Itself it wasnt really all that scary :lol

I'm enjoying it so far, but that might be because I'm also reading the tie-ins.

I read most of the tie-ins as well but wasnt really impressed with them. The only ones I really liked were those that showed the fight between Tony and the gargoyle in greater detail. Those Issues are great though. Seeing Tony being completely helpless and having to watch the Gargoyle masscare Paris was really terrifying.

Ironically, that's the one set of tie-ins I don't have. :lol

You have to do you a favor and track those down. These Issues are pretty damn impressive.

I've got them on hold at my library. I probably won't be able to read them for a while, though.

Imo it brings better closure to Pete's story than Death or Requiem did.

I read the first issue of Spider-Man 2099 Vol. II. It's really good--Miguel's a blast, the villain of the month is simultaneously threatening but a joy, and it manages to be pretty self-contained but sets up enough story to warrant the reader coming back for the next issue. The only problem I have is that the artist seems to have trouble drawing noses. Overall, I give it 4.5/5 Webheads.

I find it amusing that Rocket gets a movie before Wonder Woman. Or Spider-Woman. Or Captain Marvel. Or the non-Wolverine X-Men (although they did get cameos).

Yeah that baffles me as well. They all seem alot more "safe" than Rocket does or Groot for that manner :lol

I don't think anyone will ever understand. It will be a question that will continue to baffle archaeologists well into our future.
