sorry for the double post. but thanks to good folks and kanzenshuu they have confirmed the new movie rumours arnt true but they did confirm that universe 6 story arc is a follow up of the movie not the retelling for some od reasons.

So today I started watching the DBZ movies for the first time ever in English and they really should have advertised it as English audio with MOST of the original Japanese music because so far both Dead Zone and World's Strongest do not have all of their original audio. Both movies are missing Head Cha La and then the Gohan songs when he is drunk in Dead Zone and the "I Love My Piccolo" song from World's Strongest. That aside, the dubs for those two movies are not bad aside from the horrible Bulma voice.

is this movie box or single disc cause i know with oreange brinks if i want head cha la playing i need to switch to japanese audio to get head cha la and it was the same with my other dbz movi as well

The Blu-Rays have only been released as double feature discs.

Actual U7 team are Goku, Vegeta, Buu, Piccolo, and "strongest person Beerus ever fought" (who in a shock twist ISN'T Whis).

But if Beerus wins the tournament, Champa will hand over his 6 balls. Beerus will have to find the last one on his own.

“Super dragon balls” are the original dragon balls, planet-sized, and have less limits than regular DBs. Champa's found 6 already.

The Namekians “shaved down” pieces of these original DBs to create their own. Champa wants to use them to switch U7 and U6's Earths.

Vegeta even says Gohan probably has the highest potential out of all of them (remember those days?), but Goku says he only studies now.

Jaco says Zuno is a mysterious person who knows everything. Even if he's never met you, he'll know what pattern underwear you're wearing.

Oh, and Tights shows up, and has built a new spaceship. So they use that to take off and go meet this "Zuno" person.

I doubt it since Beerus said it was a fighter from 900 years ago. Broly was not even born at the time. Seeing as Toriyama is handling the U6 saga stuff and not Toei, I highly Broly will return.

Well it's cool to see Piccolo having a bigger role again. Gohan has family to take care of now, so him joining make sense. Gotenks can't enter since it's a fusion.

I'm considering picking up Super, but the Japanese voices just kill it for me. Ugh, but it is more Dragon Ball so, I guess I could live.

If you are not used to the Japanese cast, it takes sometime to get used too. I like both voices, but the Japanese voices feel more natural to me.

I wonder who the last member is, I wonder if it could be Bardock with all the upgrades to his story they've been doing it would be interesting if he is used. I'm going with a new character though probably.

It depends on the characters for me. Some I like better in English, some I prefer in Japanese. I like Boo way better in Japanese. I like Goku better in English. I can go either way with Piccolo and Freeza (provided it is Chris Ayres' voice), but I also prefer Vegeta in Japanese. I prefer Whis and Beerus in English. Mr Satan depends on which voice. Goro Daisuke was superior for Satan, but the English voice is better than the new Japanese voice.

On the other hand, I'm not a fan of the voices in Super because some of them just sound off due to their ages, especially Vegeta and Kaio.

I doubt Bardock is the warrior that Beerus is talking about since Bardock would be dead by now (if Episode of Bardock is consider to be canon) and Beerus considers this person to be the strongest person that he was fought. Bardock is way weaker then Goku. I would imagine it's a new fighter that we never seen before.

Why does 18 get no love in these movies? Even in Japan she's super popular...

I'm generally fine with the Japanese voices, but JP Goku just doesn't sit too well with me. It's pitch is just too high. If I recall, he's had the same VA since kid Goku from DB, which is nice that they kept his normal voice, but his body-voice disparity just doesn't work for me.

Well in the newest manga chapter of Super, it seems like Champa and Vados are going to find Saiyans in Universe 6. I don't like the idea since we have enough Saiyans in the series. However I do hope Toriyama can surprise me with something new.

Add adult Gohan and Krillen and you have my problem with the Japanese version.

Truly though what can consider cannon and non canon. I remember seeing videos on Youtube saying of how there could be multiple canon's, and if one wants what they consider canon.

There is the manga canon of what happens in the manga is canon. Many seem to believe for this to be the end all be all canon.

The anime canon states that most of what happens in the anime is canon. (Hell of course being of the things that was changed.)

Then there is everything in between of where people pick and chose their favorites.

Now granted for me I see the anime as my canon that branches off in to two different directions, with the first 13 movies not being canon, because well if you've seen them you know. The manga I see as being the most basic form of the story with possibly less intensity than the anime, the hype isn't as much there, because in the anime you have to wait a while before the Z-FIghters win, adding to who will win or lose, how many heroes will fall?

But anyway I feel that was a bit too much of a ramble from me.

For me, the true canon is the manga, Tarble special, Battle of Gods, and Resurrection F.

However, I'm okay with the anime canon with Super except for the Garlic saga because there is no way that can exist at all.

As for the Bardock episode, that is only in the anime timeline since they showed scenes from it in the anime itself when Freeza fought Goku.

Naho Ooishi, the writer of Episode of Bardock mentions it as a what if story. I would say Episode of Bardock is set in a timeline where Bardock somehow survives.

When it comes to canon in Dragon Ball, this how I view it:

I consider GT and Online to be alternate continuites. I think the Bojack movie and Wrath of the Dragon movie are the only old DBZ movies that fit in my opinion. The first Coola and Broly movie could have fit if there was not for some of the inconsistencies. The other movies and Episode of Bardock are set in alternate timelines in my opinion.

We watched episodes 19-21 of Super today and I did enjoy them. They didn't drag, but at the same time, they had a perfect opportunity to actually do "filler" that would have worked and they skipped right over it. I also don't like that Tagoma did not die in this one and it makes Freeza seem a lot less threatening because he didn't outright kill his man. That was very lame. They also screwed up Shenron's wish count again. Not as good as the movie, but it doesn't feel half assed like the Battle of Gods stuff did.

I look forward to Ginyu's return even though him returning would be view as a plot hole given how Dende said don't wish back the really bad people. Oh well, I do wonder how Ginyu will be defeated this time.

Well technically Ginyu's been stuck in that frog's body for who knows how long. I think Frieza didn't kill that one guy because I can see Ginyu taking over his body or something like that.

On this note, can someone explain to me what Shenron's wish count is supposed to be? I've just completely lost track of it by this point.

Agreed. None of this is particularly necessary but it doesn't feel like a chore like the BoG arc.

The next episode preview pretty much confirmed this.

And Battle of Gods because BoG he offered to grant them 2 wishes, but they only needed him for one before Goku told him they were good.

No matter how you slice it though, the wish count has been screwed up since Boo. It was two wishes when Bulma went to wish everyone killed by Majin Vegeta back, but then it was three wishes after they restored the Earth. Then in BoG it was two wishes along with in RF, but 2 in Super's first half and three now. UGH!!

Oh yeah, I must have forgotten about that line.

Wait, what? In both the German dub and the Subtitles of the Japanese version this is never mentioned. Shenron just asks if knowing about if the Super Saiyan God exists is the wish or something else, Goku (or Beerus) wishes to know how to make one, he tells them and vanishes.

He never says if they want another wish, and upon being summoned he asks to grant a wish in singular form, not multiple wishes.

So either that's something the English dub made up or it was completely lost in translation.

Either way, the wish count sis something so crewed up at this point I just accept it's completely random.

Shenron's wish count has become confusing since I remember that Dende made Shenron able to grant three wishes (two if one is resurrecting a massive amount of people). After the Buu saga, Mr. Satan hide Fat Buu for six months to use the Dragon Balls erase the memories of Majin Buu on Earth. Pilaf made his wish to become younger again which was likely sometime after Buu and before BOG. If you view Wrath of Dragon canon since it's one of the few old DBZ movies that fit then there is the wish of Hoi making the wish to free Tapion of the box. They also had to wait to use the Dragon Balls to wish back everyone who died from Hirudegarn.

I guess Toriyama and the writers at Toei can't make up their minds on the wish account on Shenron.

On toriyama part he stated several times he forgetful he even stated he forgot to give trunks and Goten tales when they were born.
