Ninninger is more Power Rangers friendly compare to ToQger if you ask me. The suit designs and mecha designs would sell better to the US market.

I don't know. The more I think about it the more I think they won't skip ToQger, those mechs beg for Zord Builder.

None. One should not expect BOA's adaptation to carry similar electronics.

P.S.: Some show fear at shurikens being used at all. It's not an unsubstantiated fear, as Alien Rangers and Ninja Storm cut out shuriken usage (Remember the "Samurai Star Megazord"). Super Megaforce had the Ninja Zord (Furaimaru) use a "Star Blazer" attack, so there is a minimalist hope. On top of that, some parents don't even know what a "shuriken" is; their best guess is "ninja throwing star". If the shurikens that are integral to Ninninger's "plot" get adapted, there may have to be some glossing-over to kinda "westernize" the theme.

Shurikens are the whole theme behind the show. They can't get rid of them. I wouldn't be surprised if the shurikens are already attached to the megazord and if the morpher is not a sword. I honestly expect a wrist changer.

This is why I'd like a Japanese Red Ranger start out already ninja-ing until he has to recruit 4 random people to help him fight Yokai. This gives a reason to have a more heavy use of Japanese stuff because the leader is Japamese and will explain everything to both his uninformed team and to the audience.

Since we're bringing up this subject again, why did they not use the Gekichangers from GekiRanger in Jungle Fury?

They found them too violent? I would hate to see what would have happened to PRDC if Disney still had their hands on it.

The Gekichangers are rather basic, but I suppose Disney didn't like what is basically knuckle-cracking.


P.S.: The DC morpher might remain as a blaster (with strict emphasis on lasers), but something else would take the cake. Think of some ubiquitous item that runs on batteries and transplant that into the fray.


P.P.S.: They would have done Shinkenger-Gokaiger differently.

Not a terrible idea, but it has to be done carefully. Many people stereotype Japanese people as "ninjas", so this could be a dicey field. I do agree with someone who "already knows and has to explain", but I feel like it might mirror Shinkenger/Samurai too much.


P.S.: The shurikens will "survive", but the capacity is unclear. Parents already have problems with kids throwing things. The shurikens here will have to be illustrated as "toys", not weapons. It might be advantageous to excise "normal (fake), bladed star-things that can be used to hurt" from the arsenal and keep the specialized shurikens that are so integral to the plot as representatives of something more than just a little "star-thing you can throw".

I hope in 2017/2018 we don1t have another hybrid season.

The Gekirangers morphed by punching. Punching is a form of violence. Disney didn't what to get sued by angry parents, so they made Sunglasses morphers.

*bangs fists on the table* Operation Overdrive was fine! It just had a connected plot, and everybody raged cause change happened. And bad acting, but that is a staple of power rangers.
OO and SMF both used lots of japanese footage, but Overdrive used that footage in unique ways, and had a majorly different plot then Bokennger.
Super Megafall stuck to Gokaiger episode plots.

Actually, Porto. Divatox was American, while the other three were based-off the villains from Carranger. Actually, the Carranger originals survived and reformed by series end. Porto disappeared after Turbo (presumably died in an accident), Rygog was seen sparingly during In Space, and Elgar again became prominent by joining Astronema and was turned to dust (like so many others) by the Z-Wave.

What does the rest of that have to do with anything?
