I just got MMPR Blue and I gotta say...he might be the best MMPR figure since the White Ranger?

I'm happy to say that the David Yost headsculpt is vastly better in person and doesn't look nearly as chubby as it did in those promo images. I thought Jason and Trini had really good likenesses and I think this Billy headsculpt is closer to those than Kimberly or Zack (and I liked Zack's). Hasbro also has a one up on the figuarts in that the lance is much better executed.

I've gotta say, despite some QC issues and some paint issues here and there, I'm a big fan of this Lightning Collection series. I'm just hoping we get some of these other teams completed. Beast Morphers just needs Yellow and Silver. With the rumor of Zeo Red, we'd also be halfway complete with that team as well.

As far as what series Hasbro hasn't touched yet, I REALLY want to see Lightspeed Rescue, Ninja Storm and Wild Force get some love. I also LOVE the Turbo suits and think they'll translate to great action figures. I would say In Space, but I believe we're getting In Space Yellow so I'll wait to see if that holds true.

It was around this time last year that Hasbro announced their SDCC exclusives, so I imagine we'll get an official announcement for the Psycho Ranger Pack, Omega, etc in the coming days. Probably all as Pulse or Amazon Exclusives.

The again Psycho Green and co may have been their SDCC exclusives.

I think listings implied that Drakkon Evo 3 was supposed to be the con exclusive. Either way that looks great!

I saw a bunch of Time Force Reds today and yeah, the paint on the head is pretty inconsistently applied between figures. So good luck if you buy him online!

As much as I heavily dislike Power Rangers shows right now and will likely not watch Dino Fury, damn I cannot wait for Dino Fury Lightning Collection. Red, Gold and Gaisorg will be a must. Maybe get the whole team if they do it because I love Ryusoulger designs so much.

Although I do hope for Gold the do the same gold as Beast Morphers one. I don't own either but it seems Beast Morphers Gold is shinier than Dino Charge Gold.

Yeah, they do seem subtly different. The Dino Charge Gold's gold parts seem straight-up typical plastic with a bit of sheen to it, while the gold parts for Beast Morpher Gold seem like it has a metallic finish to it.

TF Red, Ranger Slayer, and MMPR Blue in this past week. So I think a lot of people are going to get stuff before June is over.

Yeah MMPR Blue is on the cherub side. Hasbro Red is the round side, Blue is an oval. Use the scale tool.

Apparently people have mixed feelings on the new ankles this latest wave has going on. Will definitely look into it more whenever my Ranger Slayer arrives.

I can't see any difference between the ankles of the Ranger Slayer to the other two. I think my RS has smoother movement but that could just be that particular figure during summer weather.

The only thing different are the knees and those are thicker. The lower leg is a little different but that seems more for this specific design then a standard moving forward.

There's a new swivel right at the top of the ankle. Some people are saying it's a hassle and makes the figure(s) harder to stand, while others are saying theirs are fine. So probably a QC issue.

They need to make Titanium Ranger someday soon. Plus this uear is his 20th anniversary.

Would also love it if they do villains like Ecliptor. C

My Ranger Slayer stands perfectly fine so I'm not affected.

Widened the Line.


I applied red paint to wider the line just because I could undo it if I didn't like it(and I'm low on white paint).

You can also sand away the white surface fine grit sand paper(1000 grit) to expose the red plastic underneath.

Rubbing Alcohol can work as well by dabbing at it.

Mask off the area in any of these cases to leave a straight line.

Hasbro really needs to stop with the double dipping on these figures.

Just like I won't buy another Zedd just to get a Rita...especially when there is a GREAT possibility they will release a standalone Rita at some point.

I already have Red and Blue, but now to get Pink, Yellow, and Black, I have to buy them again...I guess I could repaint them and make new Psychos...but still.

If that's legit, that's actually really awesome that they're releasing the whole team in one set.

Makes me think they'll do the same for MMPR sometime after Black get released. Would be an easy way to get sales for the Stone Canyon Trio.

They already did confirm that Rita will have her own standalone release at some point in the future, but it will be without some of the extras seen in the 2-Pack.

Actually heck, what room do I have to complain at all? Of the Psychos I'd only want one, and I feel either Red or Pink wears the mold the best; and there's gonna be so many cheap Psycho Reds on the aftermarket now! Bring it on!

I'm super down for a complete team 5-pack. No biggie. Just gonna sell my single release blue and the red from the LG two-pack if the accessories are the same.

Not gonna lie I hate this. Because of this I doubt Black, Pink and Yellow are gonna get individual releases, and it sets a dangerous precedent that any team deemed not particularly popular/profitable could get 1 or 2 single pack releases and then the rest just as a team pack.

I do totally understand the disappointment that they're doing this. It's a bit of shaft to people who were buying them as they came out. Even to me. I can see how it's souring. But looking at how poorly Blue sold based on his ridiculous $5 discounted price at Gamestop and eventual "add him to your order for $1", it's likely that Hasbro couldn't find a retail partner willing to take the other 3 as exclusives whether in single or 2-pack form. This set is very likely something that was necessary to even get the rest of team released.

I guess part of my willingness to accept it is that they've done this kind of switcheroo so many times with their other lines as well. That's just me though, I'm desensitized, I'm like the perfect mark for this kind of thing now :lol

The thing that really bugs me about this is that Psycho Red was already in a 2-pack with Lost Galaxy Red, who hasn't seen a single-carded release and we don't know if or when he ever will.

Meaning if you want Lost Galaxy Red and if you want a full-team a Psychos, you can't avoid buying Psycho Red twice unless you go through the secondary market, which doesn't make any sense for Hasbro.

I really hope this doesn't become a trend where Hasbro will release one or two characters from a team, just to release the full team less than a year later. It'd be one thing if the Psychos were hard to find, but Red and Blue are both still readily available through many avenues.

We're just over a year into the line and it's already happening, so I genuinely wouldn't be surprised. I know the Psychos are different as they're villains and not an actual "team" in a representing a series sense, but some of those less-loved Disney seasons? Could definitely see the same thing happening.

You're very likely right there. I imagine a situation where we get single releases of like Dino Thunder White, Red, & Black, then the turn around of a 5-pack with yellow and blue i ncluded. I can see it happening, and I can't say that I'm in love with the idea. But I do fully expect more things like that to happen as well.

The situation where I'd probably lose my cool though, is after all this time and all these releases, the only way to get like a standard non-shielded MMPR Black Ranger and the proper season 1 Green Ranger, is to buy a team-pack. That's really pushing it after they've released the whole rest of the team. If something like that happened I'd be hard pressed to be positive about it.

I doubt that'll happen considering Black was already leaked as part of the next wave, and Green, well, it's Green, so he'll sell tons all on his own regardless.

The only other team I could maybe possibly see this sort of thing happening to anytime soon would be Beast Morphers, considering even accounting for leaks, Yellow and Silver still aren't available yet and BM is almost over.

Really hoping that won't be the case though.

The double dips are good for people who didn't get the original release.
If you didn't get Zedd before, the upcoming two pack is good. Rita seems to be positioned as special for that 2 pack. So early adopters who can't wait can get Rita in Aug?

Though here it stings more because it's two figures and I think the price is going to be for 5 figures.

I think going forward they should do whole teams/couples first and then the solo release.

Of course if they also announce single B/P/Y are going in winter though then that would be bad either.

It was just a hypothetical. Just an example of really what it would take to derail me on the line. Hopefully the line doesn't do this too often, but I do expect it on occasion.

Like, if it's impossible for... I dunno, Operation Overdrive and Lost Galaxy to get individual releases that'd sell well so they have to resort to team packs... at least they are still coming out. The main problem of course would be how exclusive they are and how much they might be scalped, but so far at least LC hasn't had much of an issue with that.

The Rita/Zedd 2-Pack is $50, which is what two figures separate cost, atleast in my area.

Can't agree. I don't see many people being willing to drop $120+ on 5/6 Packs constantly, no matter how much they love the team/brand.

Good point. It's definitely going to be interesting seeing how Hasbro will handle the least popular seasons(Turbo, PROO, etc). I could actually see them doing Super Mega Force 2-Packs based on characters. So the Troy pack would come with Gosei and Gokai Red, the Jake Pack would come with Gosei Black & Gokai Green, etc.

I've been thinking about that recently, and weird as it may sound I believe they might be keeping them for the waves that release during Dino Fury airing. Then they can push them as a 'legacy ranger' kind of thing, and have not just figure diversity in their waves but have multiple ranger teams that kids have recently grown up with and watched. Right now we're gearing up for LC waves containing Dino Charge, Beast Morphers and Dino Fury, all of which by 2021 will have aired in the last 5 years -- not to mention Dino Charge bringing back almost all the main team for the Beast Morphers crossover.


If I'm right and that's the sort of trick they're pulling in order to make the line sell better... I'm all for it. Frankly we might even get more villains or super modes out of it going by that theory!

But they won't. They'll just spring a team pack out after 2 or 3 releases with the knowledge people will double dip.

I would definitely be more down for 2-packs, I have to say. The main issue I have concerning these 5-packs is that while there are a few teams I would like to own full sets of (Go-Busters, Shinkenger, Gokaiger), there's also ones where there's only really one or two characters I'd like to own? For instance, of Ryusoulger I'd only want Pink; of Ninninger I'd only have interest in Gold; etc. Heck, I just posted about how I'd only be interested in either Red or Pink of the Psycho Rangers... and while I'd be very happy to get a Red, in all honesty Pink is my favourite and now my chances of getting her alone are completely shot.

So a 2-pack scenario? Still makes things a little harder, but a much nicer compromise I feel and would be easy enough to get individuals. I'd be down for that.

And if that becomes too common, eventually you'll see people skipping the single-carded releases under the assumption that there will just be a team pack in the future, which could really hurt the line.

I'm cool with team packs. I actually prefer it this way because it's a guarantee that you'll have a completed team. But they need to communicate what collectors are gonna have to assemble piece by piece and what they'll be able to buy in one fell swoop.

Yeaaaah, that's the dodgy part of all this. If it's variants like a super mode or 'fighting spirit' MMPR green then it's fine, but I now have basically no idea what the point of Psycho Blue's release was anymore and now LG Red being exclusively packed with Psycho Red is even worse than it originally was. If a similar thing happens with say, Mystic Force Red and Pink being released as a mainline release and an exclusive before we get a 5-pack announcement, I'm not gonna be happy about it.


I think that's the thing that bothers me the most about this -- that unlike FS Green, there's going to be no actual difference in Blue or Red in this 5-pack from their original releases, and they're not exactly the sort of characters you want to troop-build or have multiples of.

In the US outside of Gamestop the figures are $19.99 each. Gamestop though ups the price to 22 or 24 dollars. Gamestop for an hour originally that that Zedd/Rita at $60.

I think enough people would drop $120 on a team. How many people have been buying a whole wave?
Now it shouldn't be the primary means.
But if Hasbro Pulse has a limited set of all five/six figures for sale then I think it could be successful. A mass release into stores like target, yeah no I don't think the customer base is there at the moment.


This is where Early Adopters exist. They will drop the cash for the team set. For everyone else they'd settle for a solo release but Hasbro would have to be clear that the solo release is coming. Power Rangers is in that weird place where it's really a troop building franchise but each member has a special difference. It's not like the X-men or Justice League.
