Build and Ex-Aid are my favourites, the latter of which I already have. Double is also high up there, his gimmick is also cool. And Decade just seems like a cool figure who could work in play and photos with literally any other rider, his ridiculous amount of cards don't take away either. There's also a couple of others with cool gimmicks, but no attachment to them (yet).

I would go for Decade then!

I wouldn’t worry about that, as Decade’s release was accompanied by re-runs of ALL main riders so far! In general retail FRS riders can always be relied upon to come back in stock; that constant availability is one of the joys of model kits in general :)

You just about convinced me to buy Decade, good job, but now I found out that he's out of stock at Amiami so, no-go unless he's back by the time I balance my budget. I didn't know about the recent restock, but that's a pleasant surprise.
I wonder when they'll get to making kits of Reiwa Riders. If it is only after they've done all 20 Heisei riders, it'll probably be 2022 or 2023 at the earliest.

This is a thing I find sort of insane. For a line that started in earnest with Build, Zi-O (and Geiz , even!), and Ex-Aid... they still haven't done Zero-One? And no Saber announcement? I'd think that they'd at least want to do each year's main Rider, if nothing else... but nope! A ton of Phase 1 Heisei guys!

I also recommend Decade because he comes with belt parts (and in Build's case, an entire crotch) for the previous riders. So if you do him now, when you build the others, you'll have those belt parts ready to go and swap in during the build process for fun.

Whereas, I built them mostly on release and I'm just too lazy to go back and swap out the belts.

It will feel like you have a Decade figure transforming into any new FRS you get.

Hmm, Decade will definitely be on my FRS shortlist. I wonder what will they do for future riders. Include alternate beltstraps or wait and include them maybe with a possible Diend?

Yeah, it's... really weird to me? I'm sure they'd have very little trouble selling compared to the likes of Hibiki and Agito! And I sure as heck wouldn't mind picking them up...

When they announced Decade's Decadriver feature they also promised that every succeeding Rider would be compatible with it -- I'm not sure on the details, but it's either that they're compatible with the belt pieces included with Decade; or as you say, they might include new belt pieces when necessary. You won't have to worry about needing to buy another new figure for the sake of the gimmick - as long as you have Decade, you can put a Decadriver on whatever Rider you want. They've already advertised Ryuki wearing one, too!

I mean, the whole model kit line is currently under the tag line: "HEISEI RIDER PROJECT", so it pretty much lets you know that they're solely focused on heisei riders for now.

I guess my confusion would now be Why Would They Give Themselves That Restriction, though. It seems like they're leaving a stupid amount of money on the table, while nearly every other aspect of Bandai's merchandising arms are churning out products for that year's Rider. To sort of declare the model line Heisei Only... why? What is the point of that?

Legend Riders are a bit of a commodity right now. The currently airing series is ALWAYS going to have merch and representation - that will never be a problem. Same can't be said for Heisei, especially since we're a year into Reiwa.

Right, could someone tell me what the difference between stickers with these guys are?

I mean like there's the normal stickers and there's the green-backed ones. I'd like to know what the difference is in the latter ones.

Just checked decade the green-backed ones should be water slide decals they are a bit like stickers but are very different in how they are applied. I believe ex-aid came with a full set in both so that you could choose what was best for your building experience.

There are no water slide decals in the box. Both of sheets are adhesive stickers, but usually the difference is the material or finish.

Ex-aid comes with metallic foil sticker sheet, and an identical matte semi-transparent sheet. It's kind of like, choose whatever you think is best for the part.

The clear ones often have unclear edges so you wouldn't want a print to run up to the edge, or they are taking advantage of some clear effect like a gradient or shine-through (See Hibiki's arms stickers).

What do you mean? Something like Ex-Aid's chest is always gonna be a sticker. We all loathe stickers, but sometimes its the only way a kit can be released.

No one (that I know of) makes water slides for the Kamen Rider Figure Rise kits, and if they did, they'd would not perform well because of all the organic and curved surfaces they go onto.

You can always use a top coat spray to "seal in" many of the stickers.

Model kits are inherently less permanent than figures or statues. The best thing you can do to preserve them is handle them less, display them properly, and maybe use paint where possible.

No release info yet, but it seems they'll be Premium Bandai. PB FRSes haven't been too hard to get though; and this does represent a pretty big leap forward in just how much new molding they're willing to do for non-main rider form releases!

There's unfortunately no info yet -- what Raizin dropped is exactly all we know; that they're doing them.

Speaking of Den-o, I tried to up my model game and got an airbrush. Tried to do a candy coat on some spare den-o parts this week.... And failed miserably. The final coat was ruined and it turned out more black than red, but figured someone might want to see this. Gotta get better before Ryuki, agito and the other Den-o's.

Very cool. The Den-O alternative forms make a lot of sense. Lots of reusable parts.

This looks cool, and it doesn't seem so hard to repaint some blues to red so we could get a regular ACTION type of Tiga. I'd like to see Bandai tackle some of the other suits like Taro and Marie.

Yeah, that's the order I did it in. That was my first time using an airbrush so I think I screwed up with the PSI or thinning ratio.

Looks like the three forms are being handled the same way that Sword Form was: 1 kit per form, with extra parts to make Plat Form if you want.

Uhh, and the extra armour probably makes it more expensive to buy multiples too! Maybe they'll release just a base body to use with the different armours.

Like, as an extra? Then we'd have to buy three bodies and three kit parts to display them all. That would be a nightmare! I'd rather get the one body and parts for all three and only have to buy two kits (two of these or one of these and a sword form kit)
