Well, the reason more people know power rangers is because it's American - at least the few bits of it that isn't created by Toei. I don't really think Rider 'needs to be bigger.' There's a difference between being good and being popular.
I'm personally glad I don't have to see a new season of Rider being watered down and bastardized every year (or see every discussion about a new Rider season devolve into discussions about how it'll be adapted) like I do with Sentai, but to each their own.

If anything on the topic of James Gunn, it'd be neat if he introduced Bug in Guardians 3 and made him resemble a Kamen Rider, since he already sort of does - plus it'd fit in with the 70's nostalgia thing that the GotG movies lean into.

Apparently there’s an interactive app that goes with the Revice ViStamp toy. It is similar to the famous Talking Tom app but instead of Tom the Cat we got Vice instead. The app can also scan the cards and the ViStamps. Pretty cool I must say.

Though, I really say that there should be a smaller camera on the Ganbarizing Arcade Cabinets that can scan the QR Code on the back of the Collectable Gimmicks with them to gain new forms for the Rider in the Ganbarizing Console. Shouldn't this work? Aren't the QR Codes for each Collectable gimmick different?
Part of the reason I think it should work is that it would scan the QR Code and the Gimmick's Code to make the gimmick appear in the game. Another idea is that those gimmicks with Chips (like the Wonder Ride Books) could be scanned into the game.

I just realized that the ViStamps are based on the stamps used to make a contract official. I bet there'll be some "N-ViStamp" said to be forbidden, even compared to normal Vistamps, or something that makes it special, and when Ikki uses it to transform, the result is Revice-N (which sounds at least vaguely like Leviathan)

Hmm. I will try and summarize all we know so far.

So, Revi and Vice gets their powers from the Vistamps. There are both the Regular Vistamps used by Revi and Vice to get their powers and then there is the "Deadman Vistamps" (which I call as a placeholder for their names) which make the Demons inside of people leave the bodies and become the "Deadman". This is like the Dopant Gaia Memories from Kamen Rider W, the Zoidart Astroswitches that make the Zoidarts from Kamen Rider Fourze, the Lockseeds being able to both summon and power up Inves from Kamen Rider Gaim, the Anotherwatches used to make the Another Riders from Kamen Rider Zi-O, the Zestumerisekeys and Progrisekeys used to make the Magia and Raiders respectively, when they are used in the Zetsumeriser and the Raidriser, again, respectively, from Kamen Rider Zero-One, and the Alter Ride Books that summoned the Megid from Kamen Rider Saber.

Their base form/forms is/are Rex Genomes. If Revi uses the Ptera Vistamp directly on Vice, Vice becomes Revi's Rider Machine. Their weapons are the Ohinbuster 50, basically the Kunaiguns from Kamen Rider Kabuto without the Kukai, and the Gundy Phone 50, a Smartphone Case that's also a Gun.

A detail of the Vistamps is that the Vistamps used by Revi and Vice combine an animal and a Rider. The Megalodon Stamp combines the Megalodon and Kamen Rider Decade. The Eagle Vistamp combines an Eagle with Kamen Rider Double. The Batta Vistamp combines a Grasshopper and Kamen Rider 1. The Lion Vistamp combines a Lion and Kamen Rider Kuuga. The Ptera Vistamp combines the Pteranodon and Kamen Rider Faiz. The Mammoth Vistamp combines the Wooly Mammoth and Kamen Rider Den-O. The Kong Vistamp combines a Gorilla and Kamen Rider Fourze. The Kamakiri Vistamp combines a Mantis and Kamen Rider Gaim. The Jackal Vistamp combines a Jackal and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. Finally, the Brachio Vistamp combines the Brachiosaurus and Kamen Rider Zi-O.

There are rumors that the Owl Vistamp will combine an Owl and Kamen Rider Wizard and that this Vistamp will be used by the Secondary Rider. (Third Rider, if you count Revi and Vice as two different Riders).

There is the Remix ability, which combines Revi and Vice into the Animal the Form/Forms is/are based upon. So far, we have seen Rex Remix and Megalodon Remix. Also, so far, we have seen the Rex Genomes, the Megalodon Genomes, the Eagle Genomes, and the Mammoth Genomes Forms.

Also rumored is that the Zi-O Brachio will be the Mecha Form of this Season (like Suika Arms from Kamen Rider Gaim, the Time Mazine from Kamen Rider Zi-O, Breaking Mammoth from Kamen Rider Zero-One, and King of Arthur and King of Solomon from Kamen Rider Saber).
So far, we haven't seen the Agito, Ryuki, Blade, Hibiki, Kabuto, Kiva, OOO, Wizard, Drive, Ghost, Build, Zero-One, or Saber-based Vistamps.
Hmm, so I suspect that Kabuto will be a Kabutomushi (Rhinoceros Beetle) or a Rhino itself. Build might be a Rabbit. Kiva could be a Bat. Err, I'm out of ideas. Agito, Ryuki, Blade, Hibiki, Drive, Ghost, Zero-One, and Saber all are more unsure.

Meanwhile, we actually see a totally LIVING FAMILY for the MAIN RIDER, who is Ikki Igarashi. Which in Kamen Rider, heck, in Super Hero Time as a Whole, is a very rare sight. We see a Mother, Yukimi Igarashi, a Father, Genta Igarashi, at least 1 Brother, Daiji Igarashi, and at least 1 Sister, Sakura Igarashi. And the goal of Ikki/Revi is to protect his family. With most modern Super Hero Time Main Characters, we either don't see their family, it's implied/shown that they are dead, or they are missing (or that one of them will be evil). But not Revice. And it feels a bit good.
Meanwhile, here is the short plot summary.
"Deadmans is an organization that worships demons. Through the use of mysterious Vistamps, monsters called Deadman are born from within humans. Fighting to protect his family from Deadmans’ clutches is Ikki Igarashi. He himself has a contract with Vice, a demon that lives within Ikki’s body. Together, they transform into two Kamen Riders: Ikki as Kamen Rider Revi, and Vice as Kamen Rider Vice. Together, they are Kamen Rider Revice!"

Also, I wonder something. So, the way they mix the Aesthetics of both the animal and the Rider makes me wonder how some of the aesthetics could be made into the Rider.
Like, how can they mix a Jackal and Kamen Rider Ex-Aid? How can they mix a Pterosaur with Faiz? And how can they mix a Gorilla's Bulky Proportions with Fourze's Suit?
Also, Ex-Aid and Zi-O both have very unique eyes. How would they apply those eyes onto the suits?

The pterosaur/Faiz mix form is the rider machine form of the series. Other than that, the animal/rider mix forms are probably just random perhaps? idk

the sole reason it's hard to speculate any of the forms is the fact that the transformation gimmick is very heavily integrated into the designs. there are patterns among all the forms we've seen so far but it really doesn't help at all.

Yeah, I could say that the Build-themed Vistamp has anything from a turtle to a wasp for the main theme.

I just realized that in Kamen Rider Decade, there are two original riders aside from the main riders Decade and Diend. They are Kiva-La, which is just girly white armor Kiva, and Abyss, a new original Ryuki rider based on the shark. You know what megalodons are? Yes, they were the predecessors of sharks. Not only that, Decade is about passing through time. Megalodons are in the past, they are ancient. Go figure. Also for Fourze, it is based on space. This might be a reach, but the movie Planet of the Apes is set in space as well. Not only that, I’m pretty sure that a gorilla or some other kinds of primate has made it to space before? Or at least been on a spaceship/rocket? Possibly just a coincidence though.

Random shower-thought: Ex-Aid (A Doctor) being paired with the Jackal ViStamp is possibly a pun/reference to "Dr. Jekyll and Hyde".

Yeah. In fact, the Transformation Jingles for the Legend Rider Vistamps reference a catchphrase of the Rider they are based upon. The Megalodon Vistamp says "The Passerby Hu-Hu-Hu-Hunter!", which references his self-proclaimed status as The Passing-Through Kamen Rider, the Decadriver's Stuttering for the Final X Ride Announcements, and that Sharks always are passing through the seas. The Eagle Vistamp says "I'm counting up your feathers!", which references Double's Catchphrase, "Now, count up your sins/crimes", and the Eagle represents Double being a detective, which being "eagle-eyed" means you see something that other don't. Also, the Eagle Motif references the Xtreme Gaia Memory's Bird Motif, which itself is a visual pun due to it using the Katakana for Tori, the Japanese Word for Bird. The Batta Vistamp says "It's a Legend! The First Grasshopper! Top Grasshopper! Hopper approaching! Transform!", referencing that Kamen Rider 1 was the first Kamen Rider and that this Rider's Main Motif is that of a Grasshopper. The Mammoth Vistamp says "This has been a climax from the start!", referencing Climax Form. And looking at it from the front, a Mammoth looks a lot like Den-O Sword Form's Face. The Eyes of the Rider look like the ears of the Mammoth.

Just by exaggerating the proportions, you can get Fourze to resemble the Gorilla.
So, mainly, the connections are aesthetical and not really solid connections. However, there are still some connections, but I will mainly discuss the physical traits. The Kamakiri Vistamp is based upon both Kamen Rider Gaim and a Mantis. Which both would mesh pretty well together. Meanwhile, I say that the Owl would be given to Wizard not only due to its connections to intelligent wizards, but also based upon the fact that an Owl with closed wings would resemble Wizard's Head.

So far, any connection between the rider and the animal is tenuous at best. In all likelihood, Bandai has a list of prehistoric animals that tested well in focus groups with kids, and they're randomly pairing them with a list of past riders.

Based on what we've seen so far, I don't think it's assigned completely randomly; but it's assigned based on what works aesthetically. Like, Decade's lines lend themselves fairly well to a Megalodon's blades; W clearly rocks the bird aesthetic; Den-O's train tracks working as tusks... any connection after that is tenuous imo, but I think this was a big part of the decision making process.
