Thanks! The Ghost figure is one I’ve been on the fence about, even though I’d like to have all the base forms of the riders. I seem to be clinging on to hope that it gets a renewal but it’s probably the least deserving of one.

At least I could get it in a cool show accurate pose with minimal effort; these Ghost figures seem easy to find

If you're interested in a decent 6' figure of Ghost, FRS are covering all 20 Heisei Riders so it should be done within the next year or two!

I STILL argue the Ghost figures are decent, hindered yes, but they are quite nice figures in their own right.

I've never been able to find too much on how exactly their articulation is hindered and how bad it is. I know the parka limits it, but is it really that bad or in fact anymore than an actual parka would limit movement?

The issue is really the torso, and elbows, both of which are just due to the parka being far too hard a plastic.

They definitely should be able to move more.

Kamen Rider doesn't really have many options for 1/12 scale action figures, so I'd argue that "decent" doesn't cut it for a lot of people. However, I still agree with you only because they've become incredibly cheap on the aftermarket.

It's really horrendous, and that's an understatement. I've dissected the SHF Ghost to make it compatible with the Ghost Change line, and got to see the intricacies of how they handled the articulation.

Despite the ball joints being the same as any other Figuart, the entire torso almost cannot move at all. You can't do an ab crunch or arch the back. You can BARELY turn the waist. The parka is a harder plastic than what you'd expect, and it is also adhered to the torso in multiple spots. This pretty much makes the chest and stomach a single unit.

Because of how they handled the hood, the figure actually has more articulation with the hood on than without it. With the hood down, the head articulation is basically hindered by a giant collar.

The hands cannot be angled at all because the collars on the hands are absolutely MASSIVE.

The shoulders are a bit weird at first, but it's not so bad if you just tuck in the extra parts into the torso if you want to get wider angles. No matter what, though, you cannot get the same angle most other Figuarts can, but I don't think any kind of engineering could have really saved it.

Yes, I own Ghost and Spectre and the only issue is the parka and small neck peg in my opinion but other than that they look great in poses. The Ghost figuarts use the same legs as the Build figuarts. The Ghost figuarts is starting to go back up in price from what I seen on Mandarake....it's hovering around 5000 yen or more.

The Ghost figuarts are held back by the Parka paralyzing their torso, right? Wouldn't it be an easy fix to just cut the pegs that is connecting the Park to the torso so that the jacket just floats on the torso and help free up the ab crunch?

That's exactly what I did, but even with the parka removed, the articulation is still horse shit, so it comes down to the engineering not being so great. You cannot get a real ab crunch even once you've stripped the figure. There is no leeway or space between the abs and the crotch, so the hinderance is there because of the mold itself.

The waist also still barely turns even with the parka removed. Believe it or not, the parka isn't the sole perpetrator for the lack of articulation. It's as if the Ghost line was intentionally designed to have less articulation than other Figuarts.

Grateful is an excellent figure, though.
