Thanks, a few weeks back I bought a pair of softboxes, the kind you can find all over Amazon. I went with a smaller size because they can be taken apart in a few minutes and easier to store. They are pretty good but the bulbs they came with suck, I ended up replacing them with 100W equivalent LED's.

Ooh, ok. I might have to check those out. I used to use a light box I made from a cardboard box but I stopped using it because it was too small and my lights were probably not bright enough. Maybe I'll have to start testing out photos with one of those softboxes.

When I say softboxes I mean studio lights. I don't have any kind of box, just a poster board lol

Oooooh, I should have looked that up first before replying. Haha. Those are something I haven't really looked into yet but definitely something worth considering. I like how white your poster board is though, lol.

I saw you bought one of those cheap Amazon flashes, have you messed with it yet?

I've played around with it a little but still trying to figure out the best way to use it. I don't have any experience with external flashes but it seems to do it's job. Haha. Here's a quick shot of when I was trying it out:

It can definitely provide good looking light if you play around with the power setting and bouncing the light.
