I'm down wit the Kshatriya, as long as it's in scale. I just love that hulking beast of a Zeke suit. Doesn't the Hi-Nu seem to be the older Chunky style design? More importantly, does this open up a possibility for the Nightingale as an RD?

Alright...I want to get into Gundam models after picking up an already completed Sandrock Custom (I didn't know it was completed when I bought it alas...) What's everyone's suggestion on a good entry model? I'd like a higher grade of plastic than this guy if possible.

What scale would you prefer?

I'm honestly not sure. The guy I bought was 1/100 which isn't bad but I'd probably perfer a little bigger.

The Wing Gundams are shorter than average (15 meters) so the 1/100 are around 15 centimeters, most Gundams are roughly 18 meters so their 1/100 would be closer to 18 cm.

The main 1/100 lines are the No Grades (The 00 ones are good from what I heard, older ones probably aren't worth your time) and the Master Grades which are amongst the higher end of Gunplas while remaining affordable.

Personally I prefer 1/144 scale kits, but that relies heavily on the virtue of the scope and variety available. However, I agree that a nice solid MG would be a good place to start. The engineering and plastic quality far outshine those of the HG 1/100 lines. I'm slowly working my way through the EW version of the Wing suits.

The Z'Gok is incredibly smexy, and lethal in the right hands. The MS of OYW era Zeon has alot of my favorite designs. My highlight is the Dom. I just love that chunky design to death.

I finally decided to get into the Robot Damashii Gundam line, and of course MS Shenlong is a web exclusive and sold out everywhere. lol. Why do I always overlook things until it's too late. I'm mainly into Gunpla, but with the lack of kits for MS' like Ares, Leo, Vayeate, TV Gundams, etc I decided to get into the Damashii stuff. I haven't gotten my first one in the mail yet, but they look to stack up pretty well to an unpainted kit.

Yeah, the Robot Damashii figures look awesome. I held off getting into them for awhile because I've always been into Gunpla, but it's just too tough to keep up with all of the kits. My backlog got too big... time to find more ways to enjoy Gundam, lol.

I scored a RD Tallgeese II & Wing Zero EW this morning for a great price. Got in a PO last night with Nippon-Yasan for the Mercury and Vayeate, and I'm slowly catching up on the others. I'm sure I'll get a Shenlong for a decent secondary market price soon. I have some the recent MG EW kits so it's nice to get some more TV accurate Wing MS in high quality figures. There's not too much overlap between the kits and figures for me, I think I'll collect and enjoy both.

The RD releases aren't bad at all. Practically the only way to get some suits in [close enough to] 1/144 scale. Like you, my gateway is the TV Wing suits. I opted for vanilla Tallgeese and Epyon. That quality of the Tallgeese sold me, and now have Wing Zero (tv) on the way.

The base Tallgeese is my favorite, so I'll pick that one up soon. I'm glad to hear it's that good. I'm a really big fan of the recent MG 1/100 Tallgeese kit, but from the pictures I can see the RD release looks pretty awesome as well. The TV Wing suits (& grunts) are the gateway into this line for me too, otherwise I probably would have stuck with the model kits. Though I am really excited about the upcoming HG Wing Gundam model.

I haven't picked up the MG Tall geese. I want it something fierce though. Maybe for December, with the Sazabi ver Ka. The Tall geese is one of my favorite designs in all of the fictions and glad to see it get some love lately.

As for the HG Wing, they had me at its announcement. I was wondering when they would get around to it.

I hope that unlike Gundam X & G Gundam, we actually get a diverse set of HG Wing kits. That's another reason I decided to get into RD figures, there are more suits to choose from from the same anime than you usually get with HG kits. I love MG, especially lately, but I find I enjoy HG kits more than anything these last few years. The MG Tallgeese is an exceptional, both the I and II kits are great.

well Bandai-Hobby made the HGAC Wing Gundam, so it might be possible for a TV version of the other four in HG 1/144 format sometime in the near future :D.

Yeah, I think Wing was definitely the most popular over all of those three series. I love all three, and even though Wing is my favorite, I think X might have the best story, and G is probably the most fun. They all have different, but equally different qualities.

There's an ungodly amount of metal in that, something around 75 percent if memory serves me right. The frame is full metal and several of the armor pieces too.

I'm still scratching my head over why the US didn't get RD Shenlong. Not to mention Bluefin's rude response to my question about it recently. Sigh. I guess Gundam, even Wing, is a lot less popular these days here.

So, Metal Build Exia is one of the greatest things I've bought in a looong time. It is amazing and very fun to play with.
It also had the side effect of making my older MG Launcher/Sword Strike look like crap, but oh well.

I'm really looking forward to receiving 00-Raiser in a couple of weeks.
