But Ryu! And Date! Ryu and Date! |
I don't get the joke. Who is Date? What is 735?

735 = Kamen Rider IXA |

753 can be read as Nago-san iirc, and that's the name of IXA. |

753: When the digits are translated into Japanese numbers, "753" is pronounced "Na-go-san." Nago Keisuke is the primary user of IXA in the 2008 portion of Kamen Rider Kiva. |

Date's back?
Already the second best Movie Wars ever (sorry, you just can't top MegaMax - although if they somehow manage to pull Hikawa into this secondary Rider reunion I may have to re-evaluate that opinion). |
Mango and Kiwi Arms ladys and gentleman
http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/7682/shzp.jpg Someone leaked a picture of the upcoming Arms Change figures for Kamen Rider Gaim. These figures are Kamen Rider Baron Mango Arms and Kamen Rider Ryugen Kiwi Arms. Kaito already got his Mango Lock Seed when he first entered the Helheim Forest in the show's 4th episode. It's still unknown when will Kaito transform into Baron Mango Arms. As for Micchy, it's rumored that he will transform into Ryugen Kiwi Arms in the show's 9th episode. After some thought, I think another Judeo Christain Islamic element might be added to Gaim. I think Kota will be a Mohammed type chracter. He might get pushed out of the city by team Baron and regroup with all of his Invess. Kota will then decide he will make a final all or nothing assualt that leads to the foreshadowing at the beginning of episode 1

I hope there isn't any religious crap in this, I hate the way Japan takes religious iconography and slaps it over their products to appear deep, while missing the entire meaning and purpose of what they are taking.

That's why I really dislike the idea of Apple as the final form because of the tale of Eden etc. That has nothing to do with the meaning of that story, and indeed would seem absolutely batty because taking the apple was a bad thing. I'd rather this show just build up it's own mythology and have the weight of events come from, well, the events. Then, and only then, you can go ahead and put in religious alegories if you must. |
No religious undertones please. Thats what I hate about animes like evangelion.

But I highly doubt that, as tokusatsu heroes are practically defined by taking the longer, harder road, that will lead to greater enlightenment and less physical gain. |
Certain characters are built up to be anti-heroes. Baron is your total cliche anti-hero. He's not evil, he's just misguided in that he believes, probably from his upbringing, that power is the absolute form of authority and superiority. Without power, you are nothing, and if you have power and don't know how to use it, you are still nothing.
Something will happen in the 30's, I'm sure, that will cause him to ultimately change his mindset and join up with Gaim to defeat a bigger bad. And obviously, I cannot wait until we have Gaim, Ryugen, Baron, and Zangetsu teaming up together to defeat something or someone. And I truly believe that Kurokage and Gridon are simply there to die. Their costumes are significantly bland and uninspiring (shit, they look like twins with different armor). I expect them to be the first to fall to the "bigger bad" that will be revealed later in the series. |
I don't think blandness of suit denotes importance or...the lack of.
Speaking for Dragon Knight as I haven't seen Ryuki, Incisor had one of the coolest suits in the whole show and despite being there simply to die, he actually was one of the most important Riders in the whole show, as it proved to Len just how real this fight was. There were Riders who survived much longer, who actually had less impact in the series as a whole. With that in mind, it makes me wonder if perhaps Gridon and Kurokage will become some of the most lasting characters in the show, with characters like Ryugen perhaps destined for the chopping block simply because he has a design 'too cool' to simply be 'wasted' on a bit part, and that fact that he is the innocent little brother of the Big Bastard who has narrow minded goals in the middle of a very real war. |
Gaim obviously will not die, as he's the main character.
Baron serves as the anti-hero, the nemesis of Gaim (for the time being) and he won't die, at least, not till the end. Zangetsu and Ryugen are the yin and yang to each other, and both will survive to further the development of the other. One may die much later to serve as more character growth, but it wouldn't be until the final stretch of the series. Kurokage and Gridon so far have only proven to be there as a "thorn in the side", kind of like henchmen to Baron. They've shown no heroic traits, only villainous ones, and their costumes simply are not inspiring or exciting. Plus we've seen no solicitations for any toys ;) I assume they will continue to serve the role of "annoyance" until they are finally killed, probably at the emergence of the real "big bad" of the series. |
I will be disappointed if they just introduce two new characters with boring ass suits, just to kill them off for false tension later down the line. May as well have not bothered, but you gotta be edgy. If you're gonna kill off any character, I'd rather it was one we actually cared about and was central to the story.

Oh, Bravo needs to go. Like, immediately.

I think Bravo may be my long lost father.
I never want him to die. |
I see Bravo living for a little while,I mean according to the episode preview he's Kouta's new boss.i do agree that Gridon and Kurokage will die. They seem more like foot soldiers then actual characters. If one were to survive,it would def be Gridon.Might not be the same person, but the persona might live on.
|
I believe Tasaki has stated in interviews that Gridon is his favorite Rider in the series so I can imagine him sticking around for a while.
And we know that the Drivers are locked to whoever uses it first but what happens if the original user dies? Could the Driver reset itself for future use? That could be a cost-effective way to reuse suits & kill off cast members as suspected. |

Ryuki, keeping in mind, the series that the guy who is writing Gaim, loves. |
Why do I have this feeling that Bravo will be the Ouja of Gaim?

I watched episode 5, where Baron use the 2 Acorn lockseeds and I have a theory.
Riders will also use lockseeds to summon specific Invess. Kinda like the contract monsters from Ryuki. But I'll imagine there'll be a in-show device later on that lockseeds attach to and summon powerful Invess for each Lockseed. |
