Personally, I'm all for merging three into one rider. In general, with the theme of alchemy, they may well create an artificial homunculus rider, like Yongo, only with cards.

I guess it's a possibility. They seem like Homunculi after all. Rather the final boss be a monster or a rider.

Please let at least one show end without a Rider for a final boss...

In a recent magazine covering Gotchard there was some interesting info given:

- So far there have been 50 masks (forms) designed for Gotchard and that the team behind the show will try to show off as many as possible, however due to budget reasons some forms will only appear as wild forms (big CGI ones, see Mad Pilets + Steam Liners CGI grasshoper form).

- In contrast to the last few Rider shows, Gotchard will have a very small amount of Riders in it. The name "Kamen Rider" will be much rarer.

-Lastly the Dark Sisters are able to fuse with Chemys in order to obtain monster forms. The Sisters apparently do not have their own unique monster forms but instead change constantly depending on what Chemy they fuse with.

Makes sense. I hope that they'll make all of them as Souchaku Henshin armors to show off what they should look like outside of the Wild Forms, though. Like it sounds like it should be possible, I think.

Fair enough, even if I enjoy seasons with a ton of Riders. Figures we'd go back to a smaller cast of Riders after having a season that's the undefeated contender for most Riders in a season.

Wonder if this means we'll get more "Kamen Warriors" or even the idea that each of the other Rider-esque characters will be called something else, like a "Kamen Knight" or a "Kamen Defender", like different class distinctions, while only Gotchard is the only "Kamen Rider".

That's definitely an interesting idea. I like that, it's like they have different forms like Riders, but the forms are different Monsters of the Week instead.

Well, I think that if only one rider was planned for the show, then this would be directly stated. Although, perhaps, the words "very little" were used in case of a forced change in the script. Personally, I would be very surprised if there are less than three riders in the main show.

This is a very cool idea. It?s strange, by the way, that they didn?t think of it before, you can save a lot on the voice acting of monsters and for once show that the hero can convince the villain of two episodes to reject the dark force without beating him up. Also, hopefully, they will be given individuality. That is, when different sisters use the same card, monsters of different colors and / or abilities will be obtained.

They should release an anime. You can even not plot, just a demonstration of all forms and their abilities, including those that do not appear in the show.

Let's hope they'll do a Gotchard anime Pokemon style where Gotchard uses the forms that weren't put in the real world.

For the standard 8 categories, there are pairs for all Level 1-9 cards. That makes 36 forms.

For astrology and mythology, there are pairs for all cards. That raises the subtotal to 46.

Hopper1-on-1 and LinerLiner make 48.

So there are only 2 forms we don't know about yet. One of them is likely the Final Form.

That's good to hear. Revice started with a slow introduction of Riders, but then the Weekenders showed up and added a surplus of them all at once. Having confirmation that Gotchard will be keeping a strict limit on Riders gives me hope that Houtarou will get a fair amount of focus as the protagonist.

He's an adventurer, traveling abroad. That's all we know so far.

You're right. So there are 49 known forms. Maybe the center attachment is what unlocks the Final Form.

Makes me curios if Valvard will actually become a Rider or if he'll just be the Secondary without being a Rider. Or the Secondary won't show up until Q2 like in the "old days."

Do not forget that these are possible forms. Yes, we know what they look like from the inside of the cards, but some of the cards will obviously not fall into the hands of the main character until the very end (or at least until the super-forms), getting to the villains or other characters.


To be honest, it would be cool if Kamen Rider Valvarad was the subject of V-cinema, but it's unlikely that they will pull it that hard. I think this is Machin Chaser`s situation and in the second or third quarter he will be promoted to a rider.

I agree, but only with the redemption part. All statements by Hasegawa and Uchida say that they do not intend to give out the title of rider to everyone. So if bad ratings won't change the original plan, I think we'll get 3 or 4 riders in the main show.

Here's a thought. Gotchard and Valvarad go Kamen Rider Den-O or Double on us around episode 20ish. So Valvarad essentially becomes Houtarou's Momotaros or Philip. :lolol

Well Bandai didn't waste anytime announcing this, looks like pre-orders for the High Spec Belt (csm belt straps) will be going up soon, I'm guessing the Geats and Zero-One straps sold really well in order to justify releasing this for Gotchard so quickly.

The term rarer can mean a lot of things in regards to Riders. Especially since the baseline for Riders at the end of a respective series in Reiwa as of late is at least 10, others going to 10+ obviously.

What I'm saying is that it could really be a reasonable number underneath 10. There could in fact be 7 Riders. Who knows.

All I know is don't count your wishes before they're granted.

I think that could be. But realistically I?m guessing like 5 maybe main riders and perhaps like 2-3 others that (including Valvarad) are considered to only be Kamen Warriors.

I have a feeling for the number of riders to appear in the season due to the cards types:

Insect: Gotchard
Vehicle: Valvarad
Legend Rider: "Legend"

Rinne: Job/Animal
Renge: Animal/Plant
Sabimaru: Artifact

For crossover with Geats will be two new riders who're from the Occult & Ancient types.

As a native of the Roman Empire, Ace would be offended by such a comparison. He certainly would have preferred to be identified with Mithra, or at least Serapis.

I just think that since most of the cast are alchemists, they can use cards without transforming. And if turning into warriors like Valvarad or the same kaijins, according to the principle of the Dark Sisters. In fact, 7 riders also seems like a reasonable number to me, but with additional content. And the main show will be 3 or 4.
But it actually gave me this idea: how does Gotchard plan to make money? Cards are cheap, toys are unimpressive, few riders are planned. Where to get money from? On some meticulous fanatics who definitely need to purchase every card in all variations, they will not earn much.

Cool. I like the sincerity and dreaminess of the song. It's also nice that they've moved away from the Revice/Geats opening style. They sounded very driving, but somehow they gave little emotion.

True, but I think they were nicely paired with their respective shows. That said, having BACK-ON to do the theme song was the right choice to change things up. Love the energy that they're bringing for this. :rock:
