Yeah. I found out the hard way that you can't trade "Special" Pokemon. Was so close to a Kyogre, but so far because the Genesect was "Special" :\

And it's no problem. Deoxys is one of two things Gen 3 did right :p

Apparently the ribbon that these event Pokémon have is a flag for preventing them to go on the GTS... in select cases, legitimate versions can exist without them, but the likelihood of finding one is low.

I assume the Shaymin i have can go to on the GTS, i caught that one legitimately.

Yep. Event Pokemon can't be placed in the GTS.
Which makes things even harder when some of the Pokemon, when being checked for legitimacy, requires the same Ribbon that prevents it from being placed onto the GTS.

And, just like that, I have the Forces of Nature.
I could get a 3rd Palkia and Giratina, and a 2nd Dialga and Ho-Oh, but the Pokemon I really want, Lugia, still stays out of my reach.

Also, I can apparently get another set of the Forces of Nature, but those require dream orbs to access their areas, but my 3DS is dying and the nature of the game requires too much spinning around to play while it's charging :\

You replay those fights for items and to get a better score, but you don't get duplicates of the genies.

Damn. Oh well. Can't win them all :lol

Light type has never made any sense and was never going to happen. It's only one of the "most requested types" in specific western fanbases, which thankfully Nintendo don't pay any attention to. Sound could have been interesting though.
