Yeah, Bluefin already said they will not be able to get the Star Wars Figuarts. This stuff is so damn stupid. I don't get why they need to own a license to import a figure to the US anyway. If Hasbro doesn't like it, tough ****. They should then talk to Bandai about buying the license and selling them in the US.

I'm sure that, seeing as they control the licensing, if Disney wanted they could just wave their magic wand and get Bandai and Bluefin some means to distribute it. But ultimately they probably don't want competition over one of their biggest franchises in a particular market out of fear of potential profit loss. Figuarts would be a direct competitor to Hasbro's Black line, after all.

It's not importing it. It's selling it. And "tough shit" isn't exactly a valid legal defense.

This is one of the most ignorant points of view you could have possibly (and poorly) articulated. Distribution and sales of toys is entirely dependent on who does or does not hold a particular license. If one company has the right to sell items from a particular license within a certain area, no other companies may do so unless there's an agreement between licensee and licensors of said intellectual property to do so.

Or if there's a claim for that property, whether or not anyone even distributes those figures or not (like Gaim & metal Heroes for example not being released here) then the figures can't be licensed for sale by any other entity. It's pretty simple and just saying "tough shit" is a incredibly childish and uninformed way to look at the legality of all of this.
