Picked up the Rebirth stuff today and they were fantastic.

Superman - This was great. Pre-Crisis Sups and Lana try to resurrect N52 Superman only to learn that the Resurrection Matrix does not exist in this universe, so N52 Superman is permenantly dead.

Green Arrow - This was decent. It's basically Ollie and Canary meeting for the first time and having to save a bunch of homeless people from being auction off by sewer mutants. That was it. Oh, and he now lives in Seattle.


Batman Rebirth - Oh man, it was so nice and refreshing to not have the Bat Jerk we have had around for the last ten years. Bruce actually seemed like a likable and normal human being again. It was great. The story itself was a little confusing, but I feel this is going to be the best incarnation of Batman since the 80s.

Green Lanterns Rebirth - It wasn't bad, but I have no connection to Simon or Jessica, and there was nothing here that made me feel compelled to read their comic. This was easily the weakest of the Rebirth issues this week, but compared to what we have gotten over the last several years from DC, it still wasn't terrible.

I only picked up the Batman and Green Arrow issues - the other two just don't appeal to me. At first I thought about trying to collect all of the rebirth issues but I decided against it.

I don't see what they could add other than more fight scenes to raise the movie's rating to an R, especially since the only thing listed on the rating was "Scenes of violence."

Tickets for the animated Batman: Killing Joke movie are now on sale. I got my tickets today at 7:30 PM. I love the graphic novel and it has the 90's voice actors in it. So that's a big win for me. This is the first Batman animated movie to be release in theaters since Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. I didn't see Mask of the Phantasm in theaters since I was only two years old at the time (However I did still watching it on TV later on in the 90's).

Lobo is the only dc character that would deserve a rated R movie imo

There is John Constantine, Etrigan the Demon and The Specter.

The Spectre, Constantine, Swamp Thing, Dr Fate, Phantom Stranger, and Etrigan say hi. Maybe even The Question.

I think the Question does fine in the PG-13 range. Same for Fate. They could work with R ratings I guess, but unlike Constantine, they don't lose anything if they drop to PG-13.
