Ryuki 17-20 Well these episodes were actually pretty good. 18-20 to me were pretty good, we got the introduction of Ouja who is pretty awesome. Ren should of talked a bit more instead of looking depressed. We also get to see Sinji's character develop a but and see his personality by wanting to stay with that girl and asking Ouja if he cares for killing Gai, oh ya that. Gaia death I cared more for than Scissor's death so that's good. I mean Ouja is really cool, how he held those people hostage, killing Gai, I mean he just progressed the story quite a but with the death of the second rider and I hope Raia, or Zolda die soon so we can get more riders in, and keep the death toll going.

I plan to give Agito another viewing once Nihon finishes it in 2015. The last time I watched it was with poor video quality, okay subtitles, and half of episode 44 was missing. It was from some group called MCS or something.

But if those were bootleg subs, they were pretty damn good compared to what those bootleggers were doing on other releases as the names were correct and the grammar was not bad. |

Death for the sake of death is dumb, and I don't understand why people seem to think it's a good thing. Though it explains a LOT. |

Anyways, finished Episode 7 of Kabuto. Favorite episode so far. TheBee is awesome, rather likable character. I dug the lil Iron Chef action. And the closing battle was a big step up from the norm. |
Finally catching up with Gaim now that Nihon is doing the subs.
Gaim Ep 5 Micchi really needs to learn how to shoot that thing. I know it's a machine gun but you don't go blindly firing it every what direction like that. Bad Micchi! This Mai/Mystery Girl thing is getting deeper though, I like that. And I loved Ichigo Arms and the coming of Pine and Acorn! And Baron's still a dick :lol Gaim ep 6 Oren makes Owner from Wizard look like a southern baptist preacher :lol In a completely awesome way. And Bravo is just.. Well, how else would you turn a Durian into an Armored Rider, really. Completely wacky yet awesome. I have this feeling though that Pine and Acorn are just going to be the whipping boys for everyone else. The ones constantly thrown out there to just get curbstomped before another rider comes along for the real fight. |

Dammit Sentai, why didn't you just go on Youtube? HQ subs out within three days of airing, all in a convienient, trackable playlist.
Anywho, I REALLY wanted to watch the STZ Net movie, but can't find it on YT or anything, but I did find the regular ST net movie, and it's pretty fucking funny. |

Agito 12-I really enjoy where this mystery is going, that there is a lot with that Ship incident that a lot of people were involved in so far. Loved both Shouichi and Ryou trying to save Saeko, and how their viewpoints are different. I am loving Shouichi right now with how he view the world as beautiful. Ryou I love for how he is the darker counter right now. I am so happy Hikawa is back to being G3 again and how he punched Hojo that was a great moment. Intrigued about that end scene that was very mysterious. I absolutely loved the switching between the fight scenes between Gills and Agito, that was just great. Also I love both their fighting styles so far. I love Gills' bike too. Can't wait for more. UPDATE: As to not triple post and I was the last one who apparently posted I'll just continue here. Agito 13-14: Both really good episodes focusing a lot of the Mysterious Guy who can magically change Agito's bike into an awesome hoverboard thing. Learned a lot more about Mana's father's murder and that it had something to do with his brother, very intrigued. Great to see Hikawa basically punched some sense into Hojo but I am not looking forward to his Agito capture plan. Ryou really didn't get much focus in these episodes but I hope he gets more soon. Hikawa got a lot of good focus on being a detective with Kouno about Mana's Father's murder. Also great to see him fight better as G3. Shouichi is so much fun I absolutely love him so far, so optimistic and carefree he's like a barrel of sunshine even when faced with death. Can't wait for more. |
Anyone checked out the NDA sub of Blade? I just saw they're up to episode 6 and could always go for better quality Blade.

Rewatching Blade with NDA scrubs episode one.
It's kinda weird watching this, knowing where it goes. I made it to episode 12 last time before dropping it, but watching this opening episode again it promises a much better show than what comes later. I dunno, maybe I'll enjoy the show more this second time around. Seeing Kenzaki smash through walls, seeing all the crazy Rouse powers, enjoy the fight scenes while they last because they'll never look this good again for the whole rest of the show. But sadly, they'll always be that poorly edited. It's kinda like Kuuga in that regard, it kinda felt like Kuuga blew its whole budget in the first two or three episodes. Although by far my favourite scenes are the ones where the camera wobbles everywhere and you can hear the cameraman's clothes and boots. The shows poor production values crept in earlier than I remember. Also Amane is a right bitch. |
Ryuki 27
I can't help but notice this episode is called The Thirteenth Rider. Um...we skipped a few, I think. The monster of the week escaped Ren by literally just splashing him with water. It wasn't even a lot of water. I liked how they played sinister ass music as the kid spotted Ren leaving the mirror world. Maybe to foreshadow the awful brattyness that looms on the horizon. He's...like a mini-Ren. So know Kanzaki is lying to Yui to protect her or whatever. But how accurate is his statement that whoever wins the fight will gain power...which will somehow transfer to him and make him invincible? That...doesn't make a whole lot of sense....but I guess Kanzaki can just fuck with the rules whenever he wants anyway. Shinji please don't tell me you left your deck on the table. Shinji you're not the brightest superhero ever, but please don't tell me you're stupid enough to leave that deck on the table right where that smartass kid can steal it. Goddamit Shinji. Haha, Gorou really love that recipe Shinji made, huh. Cool of him to try and help get Shinji's deck back too. Seems like he left at the wrong time, though, given how Kitaoka's falling sick again, which is probably what pushed him to go and try and eliminate Ren. A new rider appears, and hes accompanied by more feathers than Sieg! Apparently, he's the final boss rider. Interesting...And now Reiko's onto the main plot! Ryuki 28 Odin reveals that the riders gotta level up to beat him, especially since he has...TIME Vent?! And it fucks with your memories too? That's kinda fucking over powered, ain't it? Oh it Oh boy, this is gonna be a clip show...Well...not entirely, which is good. So yeah, I kinda skipped most of the clip show bits. And in the end nothing much changed aside from showing how ultra powerful the final rider is so...yeah. |

Decided to watch Ryuki 29 as a bonus, since 28 was a clip show. Nothing too important happened in 29 either, but it was a fun episode. And a weird one!
I kinda like how, despite what he says, Kitaoka's currently a friend to Shinji and Ren who just...occasionally tries to murder them in a fight to the death. Shinji seems to note this too. Other than that, I liked the goofy antics between the three riders. Not much else to say, aside from, uh, it's a funny, weird episode. |

1. It showed Ryuki is too smart or too strong-willed to fall for the effects of the Time vent. 2. Kanzaki was able to stop the drawing from getting wrecked. That was TOTALLY worth a clip show, right? (no) |
Blade Scrub 2.
I wish these opening episodes weren't so strong, because it's getting me all excited, and unless I've changed dramatically in the last eight or nine months I'm going to be very disappointed all over again. Chalice is like my favourite Rider design ever but honestly the second time around I really appreciate Blade as well with all his subtle details. Not really a big fan of Garren though, he just looks like a less interesting Blade with an uglier colour scheme. Minus editing and cinematography that borders on incoherent the action is pretty great, I love seeing them attack with their transformations to get around the criticism of 'why would the monster just stand there and let them transform'. The only real problem is the special moves lack a sense of impact, and fights often seem to end limply. But it's the little touches I find most impressive, like when Chalice runs along a wall, as his bow materialises in his hand before dropping to the ground and unleashing a violent assault as he uses it like a savage melee weapon. Chalice's animalistic fighting style was about the only aspect of the action I enjoyed when it starts to slump after the first couple of epispdes. And I'm so glad they dropped that stupid Undead Gibberish stuff after this episode. |
