Update: Got an exchange on that botched Nova, the guy was really cool with it. Just said pick another figure, and I have.....ML Marvel NOW! Captain America! Nice figure, but kinda has that same weaker plastic feel. I think he'll hold up, but the aforementioned new plastic Hasbro is using is apparent to me.

He probably got them from Jungle, they had some really cheap Module Sets for a while.

Sadly, that plastic is being used on a number of Hasbro toys lately. The 50th Anniversary G.I.Joes at TRU for example... I bought the three pack with the Destro, Leatherneck, and Gen. Hawk and I noticed right away their knee joints were very gummy feeling compared to older G.I.Joe figures.

Of all the parts you felt you should crappier plastic Hasbro... Why the joints on the figures? It makes you very nervous about moving the parts around.
