So there was a new trailer displayed that essentially celebrates the history of Pokémon games to lead up to the announcement of X and Y... I think it's actually really, really well done.

And in the series he has participated in who knows how many tournaments, so yeah, the guy has done quite some things.

Eitherway those would be good choices, kinda weird that Ampharos got a mega form, I don't think he is as popular/important as the other ones.

However, setting that aside for a moment, it's possible that these are the Pokémon that are not in the Kalos region that will be receiving Mega forms, but that's purely a guess, and it would be odd considering Haunter was featured in aerial battle footage.

Whether this exact image is accurate or not, the ones featured that aren't confirmed already make a lot of sense. Every starter Pokémon, at least one Dragon line (or "dragon" in Tyrantiar's case), and some of the most competitive of each generation. In that sense Ampharos seems the most out of place despite being confirmed already! Mind you, I'd never complain of that fact. It rectifies one of the greatest mistakes of Generation II in granting Ampharos the additional Dragon type it always deserved.

What can I say I love Mawille so it was the first thing I noticed, I didn't realize about the other guys :p

And I agree completely, the list makes a lot of sense, except for Ampharos (not that I'm complaining), just feels kinda weird to lack some of the confirmed guys.

Is it weird that X & Y are just under two months' away but we still don't have anything close to a completely detailed new Pokedex yet? So far we've really only heard about a dozen or so new Pokemon, not counting the Mega Evolutions.

I'm so used to there being a multi-month gap between US and JP Pokemon games that it's kind of odd to be this close without knowing the full Pokedex thanks to players with the JP version...

I wonder if the magazines are gonna kick things into high gear in September concerning the announcements.

Oh god that release is so close i can just smell that new game smell.

I'd be quite happy not knowing the full Pokedex when the game hits, it'll make things all that more interesting when playing. Gen 5 was kinda going for that but the gap between localisation spoiled it.

I'm actually kind of enjoying too much info being out, it means the adventure and monsters will be brand new to me, something that hasn't really been true since Diamond and Pearl.

All of the Yes. Even not knowing the Starter's evolution lines is interesting because it keeps me from picking a starter based on the looks of the final evolution or even based on dual typing.

Don't worry. I've picked grass 3 out of 5 times, too.
It's kind of hard to defend that you like fire when you're constantly picking the grass starter because it looks so much cooler :lol

I'll go for Froakie, looks awesome and would allow me to keep the elemental balance:

Fire: Charmander, Cyndaquil
Grass: Treecko, Snivy
Water: Piplup, Froakie
