Not ashamed to be admitting to this, but I've been playing POkemon X damn near nonstop since October 12th. There's so much to explore, so much to do and get, 700+ Pokemon to acquire. And it's all in GLORIOUS 3D!!
Easily one of my favorite Pokemon games to date, and it's based around one of my favorite cities in the world. |

So CEX do this cool thing where if you don't like a game and bring it back within two days, they give you an exchange voucher of the full equivalent of the title you didn't enjoy so you can get something else. So bye Dynasty Warriors 8 and hello DmC and Lollipop Chainsaw!
I haven't had a chance to play LC yet, but DmC is...okay. It kinda feels like The One Who Shines In The Darkness...the video game and despite it being like a decade since the original game was released, it still hasn't really found ways to make you fight quite as awesome as you do in the cutscenes which is disappointing. Plus FUCK ME are there a lot of cutscenes, it's more movie than game so far, luckily those cut scenes are awesome. Making slow progress on Fallout 3 as well. This game is a lot harder than I remember it being, but it's still a lot of fun. |

I can see where the hate comes from with DmC, I played about half an hour and there was already sex, swearing and insults at the original trilogy, it's almost like a parody of the 'gritty' reimaginings from the 90s, but I'm honestly not even sure if the game is in on the joke or not, or is intentionally appearing as not in on the joke as to be a joke in itself. |

Finally got a chance to play Lollipop Chainsaw. Played like three hours which was enough to finish the prologue and first stage. Minus that birthday cake segment which was infuriating to the point of burst blood vessels, I'm REALLY enjoying this game.
The action is fun, the visuals (Juliet especially) are incredible and even though it's so balls to the wall I barely have a clue what is going on half the time, the game itself seems to have a disturbing grasp on its own chaos and insanity resulting in some very fresh and imaginative feeling storytelling. |
Fallout 3 is way harder than I remember it being. It's fun, but I've had to turn the difficulty down as I just can't endure. There are never enough caps, and never enough stimpacks.

Played a bit more DmC. Still not sure how to feel about it. I think it has some gorgeous visuals, and as far as 'edgy' reimaginings go, I actually really like the direction DmC has taken it. It's basically taken every part of the original franchise that worked, stripped out the melodrama and streamlined and modernised the storytelling.
There are other improvements as well, most noticeably in the platforming, which is actually as fun as platforming can be, rather than downright infuriating like it was in the original games. The only thing I'm not really sold on yet is the combat, I know DMC is famous for its combat, but I've always found it overrated. DMC was just lots of cool ideas laid on top of each other with minimal effort to make them cohesive. They have tried to make it a bit more cohesive this time around, but it still feels oddly cluttered at times. |
Made a bit more progress on Fallout 3. Still ballachingly hard but saving a little boy from super fire ants is the kind of craziness that you can only find in Fallout and is part of the reason I love it. I also finally have the Bloody Mess perk.

I finally figured out how to keep the analog stick on my Gamecube controller to stop drifting to the right, and tested it out on Need for Speed: Underground. It's a heck of a lot easier to steer now, and I'm a bit better at it than I remembered.
Edit: Played Enter the Matrix as well, and the controls still kinda suck. At least I can aim now. |
God, iron brigade is awesome!

Currently waiting for Super Mario 3D World.
I'm not really playing anything right now because I'm so stoked for SM3DW so I want maximum battery life for went it does come down my way. |
Downloading Elder Scrolls Online... So read for this! :D
Tis a shame the beta access is only for a few days. |
Kingdom Hearts 3D...but I'm playing it in 2D :lol
|
So my ISP decided not to provide me service during the past two days, so I spent the past two days playing GTA V and Style Savvy Trendsetters. I finally finished GTA V, and I don't think there's much to say that hasn't already been said. I originally chose A, but I realized that was a mistake and went with C. More or less what I expected, but a great game overall.
Style Savvy is top-tier gaming and everyone with a 3DS should buy it. Immediately. |
I just got Skyrim. I only got to Riverwood.
|
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is a game that I have wanted to play for three years. It does not disappoint. :D

I've been addicted to SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online for the bast few week. 3rd person shooter Gundam MMO
|
I recently got Link Between Worlds. As someone who isn't a fan of Link to the Past (gasp), I'm actually liking this game quite a bit. It bothers me a lot that Link doesn't follow through with his swing when he hits a monster, so it's a lot more difficult to get a spin attack going unless you time it right. The renting system is also pretty strange, and the openness is different from the Zelda games I've played, but it's not enough to break the game for me. The fact that Link straight up has Majora's Mask rendered on his wall makes me hopeful that they're hinting at something.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix HD.
Now that I've completed the stupid Ursula boss fights and got through 3 worlds its off to Hallow Bastion for me. This game has become a lot more enjoyable gain now that I'm out of Atlantia where I can't dodge roll or jump. The Peter Pan glide upgrade really enhances combat for me and makes it flow ridiculously more smoothly then before. It also annoyed me when they took away your keybalde and had you rely on Beast for attacking |
I started playing Tales of Xillia, that has been lots of fun. Love the "Tales of" games they are lots of fun.

Anyone know if anything inside is worth the stories I've heard? |

Finally am playing Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Started playing Fallout, as Fallout, 2 and Tactics are free on GOG. And it...kinda sucks.
I mean I love these style of games when they are board games, but I never really wanted to play a PC game which feels like a boardgame. I know I have to recognise the games age and all that, but it's just so unnecessarily clunky in its design. Maybe if I get used to the drawn out point and click play style, and all the menus, I might like it more but right now I'm happy simply stomaching thirty minute bursts. |
