I definitely agree with you on that. Fortunately, Gentarou has had experience fighting these dudes by now, and with all of the upgrades, is able to handle himself a lot better than he could before.
|
I feel that the more quickly defeated Horoscopes has more to do with the power and experience of the people that become them. Instead of making them stronger like before, they rush it because they just want the switches.

I'm really, really liking Blade right now. It's freaking awesome. Also, because it's not using the 2 Episode structure of current series, the story flows much better.
I think the only problem I have is lack of a central antagonist. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad thing, and I enjoy that the monsters only care for number 1 and they're not all lackeys to some jerk in a chair, but I'm just afraid they'll pull a Den-O with another Kai. Lots of high level Undead are introduced with the possibility of being a lasting threat, but then they're sealed (Granted, the "Next time" for ep 26 showed Mutsuki losing control again, so Remote is still a possibility for the likes of the Elephant Undead or Shinmei). |
oh dont worry, the final villian is very awesome, ull see y

y is everyone hating on kai, he was a mean, cold, serious villian. couldnt u see it on his face :lol
(it was sarcasm for the sarcasm impaired) |

One thing I'm really enjoying is the multiple monsters. A couple episodes back with the all out brawl between Leangle and 4 Remote unsealed Monsters vs the Riders was awesome. Quote:

Uh, Most shows have done the two episode format since Kuuga. Kuuga, Agito, and Ryuki were almost always two episode plots.
Anyway, we are up to Episode 45 (taking a break in hopes that either Nihon or Overtime decides to sub the last episode in the next few hours, but I don't think that is really going to happen) and I have to way, I wanted evil Yuuki to stay. She was so much cooler than regular Yuuki. |
ok, im marathoning fourze to catch up with everyone, is everyone so batsh*t stupid that they cant see ryuusei is gone for every fight even though being there 2 seconds ago
|
God dammit. All this talk about Blade makes me wanna watch it, but I've already started Kabuto. STOP MAKING ME WANNA WATCH THINGS TOKUNATION. ><

Well, just watched episode 29. Wow, that had so much mood whiplash over what happened the last episode it hurt.
EDIT: Also watched 30. Same thing. A bit too silly for my tastes. I did find some bits humorous between the two episodes though, and the scenes that actually advanced the plot were quite nice, but overall, just dropping the Mutsuki plot for these two episodes bugged me, and it would've definitely pissed me off if I had to wait 3 weeks just to get back to it (And, while I love the design, the way that Garren gets his Jack Form felt kind of forced. The package comes in with the Rouser Absorber and Hajime runs in and just gives Garren his Absorb Queen card, and that's another point of contention, making this episode unskippable because it has one important plot occurrence). So yeah. Goofy, fun episodes are fine in my opinion, but just don't shove it into a story arc that's still going (I think I wouldn't be complaining as much if the Mutsuki/Spider Undead story arc was resolved before these episodes). Anyway, this scene made me burst out laughing, so that's a plus. http://gyazo.com/450a0fe09b4b2d8405e...png?1346046902 http://gyazo.com/450a0fe09b4b2d8405e90b5a8c0d4d4c |

Jinzo Undead!!!!

The only thing I can really compliment in those episodes was seeing Hajime's actor spazzing around. That was great :p

Just started watching Fourze. And Gentaro was really annoying for the first half-episode hew as in, but quickly grew on me. I mean the Fourze suit and abilities aren't made to be used by someone who takes everything so seriously. It's a goofy design, with alot of goofy switches, so you need a goofy guy to pilot it. I like it.

So I just watched episodes 21-27 of Hibiki and I have to say those were the coolest episodes of the series thus far, especially the one where all three of the Onis were using the drums. This show is finally starting to actually get good. I do not understand why the guy in black is now wearing white though, but I'm sure they will explain it soon.
EDIT FOURZE SPOILERS INCLUDED: Well we just finished the last four episodes of Fourze and wow, what a great series the show turned out to be. The series as a whole had a rough start for me, but after two episodes, I was hooked. The monster designs were excellent, especially those belonging to Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius. The characters were well done, ableit not as developed as I would have liked. I really think Daimonji and Miu should have left the show after they graduated because their stories were finished and they really didn't do too much afterwards, but other than that, I have no complaints on the main cast. My biggest complaint though would be the lack of development on the villains side. For such strong and intimidating villains, they didn't do anything to make us care for them at all. I think my other complaint was there was no danger of any of the students actually dying, just getting injured. I would have liked to have seen what would have happened had one of the students actually died from using a Zodiart Switch. Nevertheless, unlike the other show that began airing during Fourze's run, at least the Zodiarts in general felt like an actual threat. I think my final complaint is that it was just predictable. I guessed who everyone was episodes before they even revealed themselves. The only one that took me by surprise was Tachibana's identity, but other than that, I could tell you who was whom when it came to the main Horoscopes. Nevertheless, the story of the show as extremely well done, the action was fantastic to watch, the switches actually played their gimmicks well and there were some really cool combos done throughout the show (albeit spread out at times). And finally, the ending was great. Except for ignoring those that were "sent" into the Dark Nebula subplot that seemed to be forgotten after Virgo revealed where they really were, I have no complaints. In fact, it is hard to believe Toei has managed to pull off three Rider shows in a row without an ending that feels lackluster or half-assed. With that said, I look forward to see what they can pull off in Wizard, and I look forward to more cameos from Foundation X because they did not have enough screen time in Fourze (in fact, not including the movie, their one shot cameo seemed forced in and pointless since nothing became of it). With that said, "SPACE IS AWESOME!!" Wait, maybe it's "IT'S SPACE TIIIIIIIIME!!" . |

Finished Blade Ep 35.
King Form is awesome. I love the card designs all over the suit. ^^ But jeez, this girl deserves a slap. "I have no heroes in my life. Everybody is selfish and thinks for themselves." Just after she explained how her family sacrificed themselves for her and Kenzaki had saved her twice... |
Watched CycloneJoker Xtreme's debut last night. Was just as underwhelming as I expected.

And how did you figure it was going to be underwhelming? I thought the intro to it was pretty damn cool. |

Damn, this girl is just a horrible person. Knows a monster is after Kenzaki in specific? Force him to stick with her by faking a disease. Knows Kenzaki needs to fight the monster? Act as if she can't walk and forces Kenzaki to carry her. When Kenzaki gets an alert and tells her that he needs to go off and save people (Thus being the hero she constantly talked about), she starts bitching over how he won't be her hero. Monster takes her hostage and begins shooting Kenzaki? Bitch at him some more about how he's abandoning her and she has no heroes as Kenzaki gets shot up as he tries to save her. Part of me wished Trial E would've just turned the gun on her... |

BTW, I must be into the new writers of Hibiki because whereas 21-29 were quite enjoyable, I have no idea what the hell just happened. Episode 30 just randomly throws in a new character who thinks Hibiki is his father while 32 just now introduced this trainer that is supposed to be all serious and yet, he is like the whackiest dude in the entire show. Not to mention a feudal version of the Hime and Douji just appeared randomly and for some reason started attacking the white and black dudes. What is going on here? This show has been all serious for 29 episdoes and then has just randomly throwing slapstick in there without a warning. I'm about ready to just turn the damn thing off and skip to the last two episodes because this is ridiculous. |

I just finished 33 and I am dreading continuing. The feudal duo are freaking morons. I want the black and white dudes back because they seemed like competent villains. And now Hibiki has ANOTHER upgrade form. I guess I shouldn't complain on that given how many forms the riders have these days, but it just feels more like this is meant to be a gimmick over anything else. Sure, the disc animals are a gimmick, but it is a sword that has nothing to do with music, which is what the show has been centered around.
And where is cinematography the show had been using? The unique camera angles, the lighting, and the flashes of kanji on the screen have all disappeared suddenly. It feels like they ran out of money to do something creative with it, which is what the show was striving for compared to the other rider shows. Quote:

I'm the opposite, from what I've seen of Gold I prefer it because of the wings :lol

Blade, ep 42.
FINALLY, Mutsuki is free. Damn, this story was paced well, but it just felt like it took too long... Anyway, in the final stretch of episodes, just under 3 hours worth left. |
Extreme is no where near the worst of the final forms *cough Decade* though not my favorite (Agito Shining form)...
|
i like both versions, gold more because it actually gives a reason xtreme is a bird, though i think the idea behind xtreme is idiotic. y is he the cj colors? wat does it have to do with cj, i mean storyline wise they have nothing in common. i know its cause its the final form, but they could have at least given an explanation. like the cyclone and joker memories were needed to have phillip stored inside, have the 2 memories taken an episode erlier, and have the memories unable to use for like 2 episodes because they are drained in power

Have you guys seen whatever the hell Kuuga Rising Ultimate is?
|
which one is that
|
Quote:
I know that you don't think it makes sense within the context of the original Kuuga series etc etc but I think the design itself is far more intimidating that Ultimate. Quote:
