I think that was the intention though. The whole Story focused around the idea of infinity. So Morrison pretty much hommaging a story with the same characters watchmen was hommaging in the first place fits quite well with that.

Can we just take a moment to acknowledge the fact that Batman/Superman has one of the best depictions of the New 52 Superman to date?

You know someone is a superhero when they know there are more ways to instill hope then to just fighting bad guys. This sorta reminds me of that Timeranger episode where Naoto/Timefire comes to visit a hospitalized kid in full ranger suit.

Exactly. Getting a Watchmen-esque comic with the originally intended characters was what drew me to picking it up in the first place.

It reminds me of why I love Superman.

And why Scott Lobdell should never be allowed to write any of the Superman titles until he learns how to write good stories.

This portrayal is essentially what Superman is about to me. A titan of strength, and yet one of the most emphatic people around.

A beacon of hope that shall light the way into a brighter future for humanity.

I hate that some writers and alot of comic fans think Superman should be more brooding and cynical just because its more "realistic" somehow.

Batman handles that path. The brooding, cynical, yet emphatic person. Superman is the opposite side. Both show empathy in different ways, and it would not be wise to change that.

Its the old thing alot of people have that Nice Guys are for whatever reason not interesting enough to watch. To which I disagree.

Honestly, I think Superman is better hero than Batman simply because he never lets the actions of a few horrible people color his view of humanity.

Batman has seen some very terrible people do very terrible things. He thinks it's important to protect the innocent, but he has let the darkness embitter him just a bit.

Superman hears EVERYTHING. He hears a world that cries out in pain because of the atrocious acts of some of its inhabitants. He hears every child starving, every needy person ignored, every drop of innocent blood spilled.

And he STILL believes in the best of humanity.

He doesn't feel like that all the time. Sometimes, he lets the darkness get to him. But he always regains his hope in humanity. Superman always finds a way to save the day without having to compromise the beliefs he holds about the best of humanity.

Which is why the ending to Man of Steel completely misses the point of the character.

So it seems that Michelle MacLaren, who has done a bunch of TV directing, will be at the helm of the Wonder Woman film. It still feels a bit gimmicky for them to have deliberately gone after female directors and if the film fails female directors and female-led films will take a hit from a certain segment of the population, I expect. She has a good rep, though, so if the script isn't total crap it seems like it has a good shot.

Not sure how I feel about Will Smith as Deadshot or Joker being in this, but including Enchantress does pique my interest.

I´m only excited for Joker because of Jared Leto. That guy will kill it as the good old jokester.

Considering Will Smith hasn't picked a good action project since 1997... yeah, not really excited for this.

Men in Black, Men in Black 2, Men in Black 3, Bad Boys 2, Enemy of the State, and Wild Wild West.

MIB was 1997. Then they remade it twice years later & stuck another number on the end. Both attempts sucked.

Bad Boys 2 is just Transformers with a lower budget.

Grah! I can't watch until tomorrow. I'm all aboard the hype train for these two episodes.

I'm just going to ignore the Suicide Squad cast and hope that is all fake. For one thing, Deadshot is supposed to be white.

THAT WAS AMAZING!!! it was so awesome when Flash is like zoom zoom zoom and Arrow is like block block punch block. Then Flash goes around and Arrow shoots upward and Flash knocks him and then Arrow gets another Arrow out to stop his fall and then Flash is all like zoom zoom zoom and Arrow is like OH HELL NO!! No problems with most of the casting, but I seriously doubt Will Smith can pull off Deadshot well.

I just hope they don't give Leto a Ledger esque look. Specifically the Glasgow scars.

I really hate to say this, but DC has pretty much completely ruined Earth 2 with this World's End thing. I'm already completely sick of all the Apokolips stuff and we still have four more months of this crap to go through. :(

On the upside, though, I read this week's JL 3000 and couldn't stop smiling for at least 15 minutes after it was over.
