Even Black and Shadow Moon? I should never have looked at the Let See KR topic. I feel gyped now that I had only got vinyls of the Kiva and Blade stuff, because now I want to sell them off and get the Figuarts.

I don't know about Black, but I kjnow I have seen Shadow Moon this week. Don't recall the price though. It was one of the more expensive ones, but I think it was under $100. I'll go look.

If you can wait for SAL, I just paid for two Figuarts, 980 yen shipping. Sure, it'll take 3 weeks, but it's cheap! DHL would be about double that, but then delivery in about a week.

There are no Blade Figuarts. They've never made any and as for Kiva they've only ever made Emperor and Dark. It'll be a long while before we see more Kiva or any Blade, or for that matter any Hibiki at all.

Maybe Souchaku Henshin but I have no idea what you were looking at. They haven't done any Blade Figuarts at all and only the 2 Kiva figures that I mentioned. Aside from the BladeBlade and KivaArrow weapons from Decade there are no proper versions of the characters in Figuarts.

Ixa and Rising Ixa Figuarts exist, too, although Rising is an exclusive. I see that one on Mandarake all the time, though.

The Blade and Kiva figures you saw were probably Souchaku Henshin, the line that predated Figuarts. The Kiva one is pretty much on par with Figuarts, but the Blade ones are a lot older, smaller, and less articulated. They also have the removable armor and tiny heads underneath the helmets.

There are a few One Piece Figuarts - the main guy, the redhead, the dude in the suit, and a couple others (I know next to nothing about One Piece). Most of the other One Piece figures are Figuarts Zero, though, which are just immobile statuettes.

Yeah, I know about the statues because they have the entire New World cast, but I've been buying Bandai's Stylings for One Piece, and the PVCs around that size, so I'm good there. It would be nice to have the entire cast with full posseable figures.

Of course, I need to ask before I decided to get into these lines, how fragile are they? Like, is Black's antennas going to break if he falls or another figure falls on top of him? The reason I ask is because I pretty much just got rid of my entire Final Fantasy Plays Arts collection because it turned out the figures were even more fragile than the DC Direct ones and would break if they fell off the shelf 2 feet onto a rugged floor.

Yeah those are all Souchaku Henshins aside from the Ixas. Which, like Switchblade said, is the line that predates SH Figuarts. The Den-O and Kiva figure from the line are essentially protoypes of what became Figuarts. They feature quite a bit of diecast, interchangeable hands and armor, and alot of articulation.

My bad for not remembering Ixa and Rising. They were also released in Figuarts but unfortunately Blade, Garren, Chalice, Kiva in any other forms, Saga, basically all of the other riders from both shows have yet to be released :(

Durability varies from figure to figure. Some - like W and G3 - have some pretty thin solid pieces of plastic that could easily break after a tumble. Black isn't like that - he's a dead solid figure and his antennae are made of a fairly soft, almost rubbery plastic that will bend a lot before it breaks. Shadow Moon, sadly, I cannot say the same for - his crest is very thin and inflexible. I'd keep him near the back of the shelf if you're worried. A lot of Figuarts have die cast feet, though, which makes it less likely for them to fall over (although, again, Shadow Moon misses out by having the increasingly common plastic feet).

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I should see if I can find that ShinkenRed in TRU and see if the plastic is going to be worth it to me to get. I mean, I'm fine with hard plastic on figures that ar elike $20, but if I am going to end up paying $75 for something, I want to make sure it is not going to just snap in an instant. Granted, I'll most likely keep the boxes, so if I do move or anything, I'd put them back in their boxes, but I'm thinking more of when I go to dust the guy off. Is a piece going to snape if I move my cloth too fast or rough?

Actually, isn't that Red Hawk supposed to be coming out to TRU stores like the Shinkengers did? By that Bluefin company?

So I got some birthday money from my family and im looking to get my next figuart or another megazord from PRMF (would be the solar streak megazord).
Im huge into dragon knight/Ryuki right now but I also love W a ton and I relay like the suit for KR fourze.

For those who have them. Are either Knight w/ dark wing or fourze base states or Zolta worth anything or should I look for others?
Also, how bad is the quality and size difference on the figmas compared to the ryuki figuarts?

Shinken Red is nowhere near worth $75, as he isn't an exclusive. He is $35 at retail and you can probably get him online for even cheaper. Also, Figuarts aren't fragile at all, they use very sturdy plastic and I don't think a cloth could even scratch them. And nobody ever said Red Hawk was coming to TRU, he is just being imported by Bluefin like the majority of all Figuarts that are released.

I ended up getting fourze base states on ebay fro 39 shipped by wendsay! booya!

Don't know about the figma's, I think they might be a little smaller and are slightly lower quality and have cloth capes...

However I do own both Fourze and Knight and you can't go wrong with either. Knight you get tons of extra bits for your money, but his cape sits a little far back making him look a little odd. Fourze is good all round although you can't really pose him with his drill leg without a stand of some sort.

As much as I like Fourze , I personally prefer Knight I think, so much awesomness in one box =]

You could have gotten it from AmiAmi for cheaper but I guess its worth the extra money for faster shipping.

Shinken Red and Gold were the work of Bandai America, not Bluefin.

See bluefin is like the major importer. They bring stuff over from japan and send it out to sites and stores like bigbadtoystore. With the shinken figures at TRU that was Bandai of Americas doing. Dont expect to find anymore figuarts at retail like that. It's not directed at BoAs demographic (is that the right word?). Atleast I think thats how it works.

Sounds about right. Importing from sites like amiami, hlj, etc. is the best way to go. They get released earlier and shipping isnt all that expensive.

Shinken Red and Gold have been out for a few months now. You should be able to still find them in your local TRU's Power Rangers section.

I've heard that some comic shops may stock Figuarts, but most of Bluefin's stuff is available through online retailers like BBTS and Amazon. Honestly, amiami is probably always going to be the cheapest place to go, but it can be really damn hard to find any Figuarts in-stock there.

As a Prime member, Amazon has been really good for me. The prices on Figuarts are usually quite reasonable and the free two-day shipping is top notch. Also, I don't have to do the all night refresh hunt on AmiAmi. You get the benefit of Blue Fin's amazing customer support as well. If you have any problem with your figure, they'll make sure to take care of it. It's almost worth it to support them for the great CS alone.

What you just described was a middleman. What Bluefin does works on a much larger scale and involves a lot more than random guy who can buy things from Japan and ship them overseas. In fact, depending on the eBay seller you used, it might be a Bluefin import you're buying anyway.

The initial retail cost of an item direct from Japan is indeed less expensive than if you bought a Bluefin-sold Figuarts (spoilers, nobody in Japan paid the equivalent of $35.99 for Shinken Red or Gold). Before shipping, anyway. After you include shipping, the difference is more negligible and depends on the figure's size, weight, and your choice of shipping speed/features.

Earlier in this thread, castdream475 mentioned $39 shipped for Fourze was too much compared to AmiAmi. In reality though, the difference in cost after shipping (assuming unregistered SAL) would only amount to $5 more and could potentially add two weeks to a month to delivery. It's a trade-off, and importing yourself from AmiAmi is not always strictly better than picking up a figure from Amazon.

I wonder if we will see Gokai Red, Blue, Green and Silver brought over to U.S. like Shinkengers did.

Actually Switchblade is right about comic shops as well. The one I manage now carries figuarts. Anything that Blue Fin has been distributing from Sky Rider onward I can now order through my distributor Diamond Comics. For the more common stuff I've been using my job to purchase them slightly more cheaply. Next week my Fire States, Zolda, and Trunks will all be in.

A Local shop downtown that deals with anime figures and Gundam models just got Blu Fin as a distributor, so they are selling Figuarts and SIC now.

Other then that, I've seen SSJ3 Goku and Monster Arts Godzilla at a local comic shop.

Stopped by at ToyWiz's store location yesterday since I saw that they had Sky High for sale and I was going to be passing their area on a shopping trip anyway.

Went in, looked around and asked if they had him and they did...on their site only.

Actually no, the two main TRUs I go to have not had the Shinkengers for about 2 months now. They sold out and never restocked.

I was looking on Amazon, but all of the figures are from their sellers, which does not let me get my free second day shipping options since they are not Amazon themselves.

Toywiz is one of the biggest rip offs I have ever seen online. They raise their prices on a massive level and then sell you a product they don't even have instock yet even when it says instock. I ordered a MegaMan toy from them, chose second day air, paying the big bucks because I wanted it immediately, nearly two weeks go by and I email them asking where my figure is, and they told me it had been ordered from Japan and they would receiving it in the 2 weeks. I was not happy and had them cancel my order.

Kiryu, the only Arts figure I have seen is at a local shop called Hero Headquarters, but they are selling it for $100.

I saw an interview I think vangelus did with a guy from blue fin where he said they were trying to stray away from brick and mortar stores and distribute more through online stores like big bad.

The Gokaiger stuff would (probably) fall under Bandai same as the Shinkengers did. Pretty sure that's what Gokai Black was getting at, not something with Bluefin.
