I guess from now on if someone around us has a monstrous metabolism and hardly gains a single pound after eating like a tyrant, make sure that person is not outside partying while there is a full moon because :lolol

If aliens arrive here, i can't imagine what's kind of technology they could share with us and could give.
|
I feel like advanced species in the Universe is probably a rare thing otherwise we would see more contact with them by now.

Again, I don't think aliens would willingly come here. |

Hell I'd consider that South Park episode canon to the real life lol. |
Yeah, all that alien talk is nonsensical to me. Either they exist and are smart enough to avoid us or they don’t and then that's not making a difference to us anyways.
I can't really take all the "But this happened and this happened and all these experts say it's impossible"-talk seriously. Maybe it was technically impossible, but why is the answer always aliens? Could be drunken ass fairies flying around in a huge soup bowl. |
Aliens are out there, they're just way better at social distancing than us.
|
Whether aliens exist or not, it doesn't change things much as far as I'm concerned.
|
My prediction is alien revelation in this month.

Does everything fantasy related have to be Game of Throne inspired? |

Which kind of sucks. |

He-Man is not a series that should be taken, nor take itself, seriously. Camp is built into it, and unless they can keep that alive... yeah, no. I'm sure the people who crapped themselves in glee over BvS will be ecstatic but that pitch... does not fill me with confidence. |

I doubt it will be R rated, but probably PG-13/TV-14. I do agree that He-Man should be fun and not take itself seriously.

EDIT: Oof, I read the article, and I know it's not much, but constantly calling it an "anime" is enough of a red flag for me that I want to see how much of a car crash its gonna be. |

I don't mind darker themes in a franchise, as long as the story makes sense and is extremely good. The problem with franchise nowadays is just because The Dark Knight is dark, they want everything to be dark. And not just that, it's the blatant copying of TDK's style that makes most of these darker versions a failure. Hell, just look at BvS.
Like I want the second saga of MCU to be darker, but they need to be able to tell a fantastic story to justify it being darker. If they do it for the sake of "hurr durr people love darker themes let's be dark just 'cause" then it's digging their own grave. |
What the Pentagon declassified is proof of something big. To be honest I don't think it's that far fetched to suggest creatures either within or outside our solar system can send objects to our planet. Within less than 70 years we went from motorized gliding machines to sending men to the moon. In little over 100 years we're sending drones and probes to Mars and across the solar system, and two that are currently in deep space. Now imagine the technology of a race that's just 500 years ahead of us.
I did some research and found that Tom DeLonge was responsible for the leaked videos in 2017. These same videos were just declassified by the Pentagon as "unidentified aerial phenomenons." And back in October 2019 he and his company Into the Stars... Academy of Arts and Sciences signed a deal with the US Army to study the possible extraterrestrial origins of these phenomenons. So we should take his comments a bit more seriously and follow what he and his company are doing. |
Today is my 29th birthday.

If aliens really do come here then this brings up a bunch of opportunities for mankind. Think about it: Earth is a cesspool of untapped materials, and we can trade it with them for advanced technology and stuff. I think alien tourism would be a HUGE financial investment.
On the other hand if they come here to invade we're screwed. Actually, if they come here proclaiming to be dieties we're probably even more screwed because there are some real hardcore religious nutjobs out there. We might be looking at a worldwide 'crusade' or something. |
Happy Birthday Guyver! I hope it's a good one!

Thanks guys :)

If they do invade yes we are screwed (that's assuming they haven't already invaded and propped up puppet government to fit their own interests). Hopefully whomever does is benevolent and comes to be a guiding hand to help humanity reach our true potential. The final point is an interesting one. A couple of my friends and I have discussed this in detail. Since a lot of ancient myths proclaim humans were made "in the image of (the) god(s)". We happen to be of the mind that visitors have come here before. Given how genetically similar we are to chimpanzees and bonobos, any other intellectual creature organizing taxonomy of life on Earth would place humans in the genus Pan (or chimps and bonobos into the genus Homo). But we are heavily modified to the point were we look almost unrelated to our African ape cousins. Almost in the same manner to that of many dog breeds are to wolves. I don't think it's too far out there to suggest we are a genetically modified species of chimpanzee made to look like whatever came here. And if you take a story like Prometheus (the Greek Titan who gave mankind fire, who also was the one who made the current human species) one could theorize such myths are based on a truth of some ancient extraterrestrial scientist, or scientists that created mankind for a specific purpose for their own or another species usage. And us gaining "knowledge" or "technology" was not a good thing because we would become more like the "gods" themselves. It would be likely that some malevolent species out there could come to Earth looking for us to worship them like gods, while others want to see us advance to their level and are why they don't want to intervene anymore, or until they feel the need they have to. So I can totally see some religious humans looking at theses space foreigners as "gods" and going nuts about it. But we could end up in a Futurama scenario where so many species make contact with us that it doesn't matter and it just becomes a normal part of life, and hopefully reveals truth about our history and existence as a species we yet haven't uncovered, or at least fully understood to be true due to fragmented evidence and speculation. |
This is very random, but I’m currently listening to the Evangelion OST (and still trying to make sense of the series overall). Think I prefer what was chosen by Netflix better as the ED theme than Fly Me to the Moon.
