Continuing my Shinkenger rewatch and I just noticed how chubby ShinkenGold’s suit actor is. At least in that night time fight with the Naruto monster dude. Was he always this big or did they get a different suit actor for this sequence?

Good... good.

I find him to be obnoxiously annoying. He over acts and is an idiot. He is way too hyper that it feels like he is trying to portray a ranger from a comedy series more than a serious series (which is what Shinken is). The whole fish motif doesn't help his case either. I also hate the lantern mecha. That thing is even worse than Smokey from MagiRanger.

No Sentai series is flawless. DaiRanger is my favorite series, but even that show has flaws. Kaku has flaws. Aba, Geki, Gokai, Car, Jet, Zyu, GoGoV, and Time are all the best series Sentai has to offer, but every one of them is flawed in some manner.

Yeah...They both have their problems...

Not only does he not fit physically but the show makes no attempt to make him fit in the show anyway. 'Remember he was your childhood friend?', no? As you never established this? And even then he doesn't really hang out with the group, he walks around on his own with the cart. He feels chucked in, tacked on and utterly out of place.

Got bored and watched Geki 34.
God dammit. I loved that episode. I want to watch 35 so badly now :lol

So I continued my Shinkenger rewatch, I totally forgot about that episode where it references the film with no explanation at all. To this day I have not seen it and that episode smashes me in the face.

I also finally got round to watching DaiRanger's opening episode and it was...really bad? They focused on stunts, rather than plot or character so it manages to feel rushed while nothing is really happening.

Plus the effects are really bad, Jetman has aged better than this series. The suits are cool though.

Sorry to Time Force fans but in one episode of TimeRanger I felt like I want the next episode and more and more. It took an effort to continue in Time Force. Must watch more TimeRanger!!!
