I know I'm late to the party but I finally got around to watching Batman VS Superman, and honestly? I thought it was kinda boring and tried way to hard to be intellectual. it definietly didn't need to be three hours long, but it did get better towards the end at least.

It definietly did NOT need to be three hours long...there's bunch of scenes that just weren't nessicary at all in the movie.

Civil War destroys this movie in every possible way.

I felt the opposite. Well, I haven't see the Ultimate Cut, but I felt the first 90 minutes were mostly solid while the remainng hour was total garbage.

I saw the Killing Joke tonight. My theater was packed and it was a total blast to see it on the big screen. The first half hour of the film felt kinda pointless with everything going with Barbara and Batman. The sex scene was not as bad as people hype up to be. I thought it was going to be a full on sex scene (Nudity and sex with genitalia). They cut away after Barbara started to take her clothes off. There was no nudity shown.

It was a stupid scene, but it did made the whole theater laughing. The rest of the film was pretty good, but I remember the Graphic Novel being way more violent. For a R rated movie, the movie felt rather tame. The animation and voice acting is great. Overall, it was a decent movie but I wish it could have been much better. Get rid of the relationship between Batman and Batgirl, I think it would have been a better movie.

I still had a lot of fun watching the movie on the big screen, but deep down I was rather letdown. Grade: C+

I don't think you can show penetration with an R rating. I think that's NC-17.

I think any sex scene in a Batman movie or any Batman related media is stupid. People did over hype the scene as it was from a porno or something really bad. I was like "That's it?" when it happen. It did make me wonder why is in the movie? Was it to make it rated R? The movie could have been R rated without it.

I still think that Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is the best animated Batman movie in my opinion. I still need to watch the other recent DC animated films. The last one I saw before I saw Killing Joke was Year One like three years ago on Netflix.

People weren't hyping it up because of what happened, but because of who was involved, and what it added to the story (The scene leaked during the comic con premiere, so a lot of people knew it just cut away as soon as Barb threw off her shirt).

It also pissed a lot of people off...

As for animated Batman movies, the whole "Damien" saga aren't really very good, so you don't have to go out of your way to watch those (I think the first one is up on Netflix if you want to make that call yourself, though).

Next DCAU film is going to be Justice Leauge Dark with Matt Ryan returning as John Constantine!
