According to the guy who top coated his Tiga, it kinda worked. It's much harder to remove the paint now, but more strenuous poses such crossing arms very far will still cause it to chip, though.
Saw another guy spray Tiga with rubber protector, and man, I don't know if I should chuckle in admiration or be sad people are going to this lengths to protect their Tiga. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E7yWFXCU...g&name=900x900 Also, uh you might want to be careful in spreading his arms forward. Some Tigas can have their gears stuck and crack. ahahahahaha https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E7idJgqU...g&name=360x360 |
I still don't understand the design decision to add gearing to the butterfly jointing at all...
I'm assuming it's to counteract any spring-back resistance the overlay causes when doing poses with the arms crossing over the chest, so it doesn't work against the joint, but it doesn't look like it was thought out well if it's so fragile that just the usage of the joint alone causes stress. |

Or try Mandarake/Jungle, they both have them in stock pretty decent prices |
All these Tiga OC issues really make me wonder if Bandai got drunk on their own power to engineer high quality figures lol.
