Everyone makes it sound really scary, but relax man, cancelling stuff on these sites is just an email away. I've cancelled quite a few things on AmiAmi and Mandrake, they give you the company policy jargon first and then basically say it's cool, as long as you aren't a dick about it or abuse the privilege.

And that may be true in some cases. But if you do it too many times, which for them can be twice :lol they can ban you in a heartbeat. Just be cautious when pre-ordering, that's all.

I usually don't plan canceling my preorders when I make them. This is a special case as my girlfriend's $2000 bonus she was supposed to get was canceled.

I think I've cancelled 2-3 items from Amiami, just send them a polite email and explain why, they're pretty reasonable. If you're worried about having everything cancelled say something like "I have other pre-orders with you that I will fulfil, so if this results in the cancellation of those pre-orders, please do not cancel any of them". I said that once and they just cancelled the one I wanted and let me keep the others. Just be polite and I'm sure you'd be fine.
I think it's a different situation if the items are in-stock, but you'll be fine.
