Marvel fans are more the "Bite the hand that feeds you" type, getting super pissy when a movie is just 'Average' (See Age of Ultron).
Hell, I've seen negative Civil War reviews not because they found the movie was bad, but because it was "Just another Marvel movie," proceeding to call it a good movie, but not Phase 1/Guardians level good.

I'm not much of a comic gal and I VASTLY prefer Marvel, but for fucks sake, this is the third, THIRD DCEU movie that's gotten panned. Considered Snyder's doing Wonder Woman, I just feel bad. I want you guys to know the kind of thrills Marvel fans had with Civil War. I heard that Flash's director will most likely be different due to the new director, a comic guy who loves Flash, will be involved. DC needs to stop trying to one-up Marvel and do their own thing or take Marvel's steps. God. Anyone feel confident about ANY DCEU movies? I hear Ben Affleck's a good director, and his love of the Caped Crusader means I'll likely watch his Batman, and I fucking loved Flash on Arrowverse, so I'll likely watch that

I'm excited for the Afflecks solo movie since it's going to feature one of my all time favorite DC character which is the Red Hood.

From what I heard, the complaints are about how 45 minutes of the movie is trying to play catch-up with origin stories, a rather dark movie in terms of aesthetics contrary to promotional material, Jared Leto's performance as Joker, the fact Joker only appears for 6 fucking minutes despite how Joker was marketed a bunch, and how only a few of the Squad gets focus on character development
At this rate I just want DC to focus a LOT on Flash as as far as I can tell, that's the only DCEU movie we're getting that isn't DARK&EDGY.
