I didn't realise there was a version of the Thunder Megazord with chromed weapons. Looks really good.

That is the first release version, where the sword is hard chromed plastic and the firebird tail is also chromed. The subsequent release was met with soft plastic ad no chrome.

Yeah that's the version I have (and have had since I was a kid). I kinda want a chromed one now :lol

I was pretty excited to pick this set up sealed since it was the only set I never had as a kid. So the addition of it being the chromed version was a very surprising bonus :) Also, and im not sure how common this is, all of them came with 2 each of the ranger mini-figures and power crystals. So I got duplicates of the rarest accessories too :lol

mine came with 2 full sets of crystals and minifigs including the 2 white wish it had the chromed weapons :) if rember right was random some came with none or 1set or 2 sets or incomplete sets was an issue that makes rare parts

Well if I can ever find a Tigerzord I certainly hope it comes with two white ranger figures. I just lucked out and got these at a local comic show. The same booth was trying to sell the first release (chrome sword) Megazord MISB for $220 and the Dragonzord for $300. Those were a bit too rich for my blood though.

I think I've got duplicates of the rangers/crystals, but its been a while since I took him out the box :lol

How are you liking it Den-O? The red dragon thunderzord alone is an amazing figure.

Absolutely loving it :) Like I said I never owned the Assault Team as a kid. I had a lone and incomplete Red Dragon and a Tigerzord. Being able to display the whole team on that rolling display base is just too awesome. And putting nearly 20 year old labels on this thing was very satisfying. Just need a Tigerzord and a Tor now for some Ultrazord action!
