SaGoZo was the form that made me want to get the S.I.C OOO. Out of those initial concept art, it was definitely the best.

right now im VERY glad my usual sources seem to be out of stock on the SIC ooo's. im getting sorely tempted

Man, Sagozo looks off the chain.
And that's the first time I've ever said that. I just can't get over how good these figures are. I mean, I'm used to handling these things like I would an infant child, yet they're as solid as an infant child that's also part bison. |

However, I'm tempted each time I see pics. The only SIC I have is ZX. I love the sculpt but find that it's somewhat fiddly, I also hate how hindered the hips are on it too. |

I'll make sure to take more pics next time I have my camera out to illustrate, but the soft pieces around the hips are only stiff for about a few poses before the gradually loosen up. They can sit, crouch, run, all that good stuff. You just have to make sure the rubber bits slip over the legs. (Otherwise the rubber can push the legs off their pegs) They're not as clear as Tajador, but short of sidesplits can do everything you'd expect. It's just a matter of loosening the rubber pieces up gradually and making sure to not leave them in poses that really bend the rubber. (since it can stay bent, BUT you can always bend it back) I can deffinately see why people would think they are, because they're deffinately resisteance, but the rubber's a shifty eyed guy before a poker champ. He'll fold soon enough. Again, these are some of the most, if not the most, solid and well-crafted action figures I own. I can't think of anything I'd expect them to do that they don't. |

Yes the legs can bend 90 degrees forward. It's actually quite a simple ball socket in there, but due to the form swap gimmick the hips have a tiny bit of swing back and forth which makes it far easier to get the top of the legs under the skirt then I imagine it would have been on the original Cyclone Joker. (but still possible)
And while I can't speak for every SIC past double, I have Tajador of OOOs fame as well and he is emmaculate. (sp? I've never had to spell that word before) He also has unhindered thighs, ven less so since his skirt armour is more traditional (parted just above the legs) and he can actually do a bit more than a 90 bend at the hips, due to a ball joint in his lower waist. As for overall quality, these things are top notch. I haven't discovered a single issue in construction, or even paint slop. The only thing I thought was an issue about Tajador that I now see as a positive is that his belt and skirt armour don't peg in. They jiggle ever so slightly. However this seems to be for ease of posing and despite the jiggle they never sit unaturally or crooked. If Every OOOs SIC is of his quality you have nothing to worry about. (however I heard something about Tatoba having some kind of minor issue, but as someone pointed our before in this thread it's something about the way the legs are sculpted not allowing for perfect straight-legged stances where both legs are parallel) |
I should join here with the addition that the Den-O SICs are even a bit better than the W SICs.
And several of the Den-O sets are dirt cheap. They're a little bit more poseable and less likely to fall to pieces (since they don't have to be disassembled for their form change) than the W figures. Of the many I have (Kuuga, Kabuto, Den-O, W, & Kiva), overall the Den-O line is the best. But, Skull is really the single best SIC I own. |
