I wonder if Haim Saban is going to try and get Toei to lift the "no skip" thing for this.

And while I don't live in Japan, I sympathize with the disgust toward "Local heroes." Because my city has a guy who for at least the past 15 years has been dressing up as Superman and standing on a busy street corner next to a Dairy Queen for God knows what reason.

*shudder*

Don't know why it took me so long to realize that the Renketsu Bazooka looks like a train crossing over a bridge on its way into a mountain tunnel...

After looking at the suits a couple of more times it has started to grow on me.
I just hope the fight choreography and the casting helps out mitigate the initial responses being bombarded so far.

You guys are much more polite than on the other boards, who are screaming and cursing. :lol Now, what are my impressions? When I first saw these, I was a bit dumbfounded, then I laughed at the sheer ridiculousness of them all, then they grew on me.

-The suits are definitely very simple, but they're not offensive. I like the helmets already and the bodysuit looks better on some of the Rangers, like Pink.

-The mecha, I actually really love. :lol Strange, the one thing almost everyone seems to hate, I quite love. I'm never one to say no to robots of strange proportions, coming from Transformers, and I actually love his lanky, tall look. I guess they let the rainbow motif and trains overwhelm his design, resulting in something that's a bit more plain. Still, I am actually more excited for this robo than I was for Kyoryujin because whatever it may be, the transformation is still something new and actually feels like a balanced combination of the 5 mecha.

-The only slight negative I have so far is how much they took from Go-onger. Some have said the mecha is holding a KanKan Bar, and I agree. The bazooka also emulates the Go-onger's right down to the Green Ranger's Axe forming the barrel.

So yeah, it's not terrific, but I can see myself liking them. I am very impressed that you guys mostly kept calm and respectable, Tokunation really shows how nice it is again. If everyone hates the mecha, perhaps this time it won't sell out so quick so I can grab one. :D

Why would they? Remember Saban adapted OhRanger and Disney adapted GaoRanger and Go-Onger.

The only thing that bothers me is the main body of the Robo, but I have a solution

I'm not sure what Gao, Oh and Go-On have to do with adapting specifically. I'm just thinking that trains might tank (engine) due to them not being AS appealing in the West as Spies or Dinosaurs and Saban would try to skip it because of that.

Or maybe not, I have no idea. The only train toys I know of are Thomas and Chuggington.

YES! Chestplate YES! Menasor's torso was a big gray block and a little black car and piece of plastic over his crotch fixed that up real nicely!

At least we're getting another solid Pink Zord again.
