I always think it will be better if Ex-Aid has more Riders and has battle royale (Rider vs Rider) theme like Ryuki....

I think it will be really interesting too if since beginning Toei make some Riders from Supporting Gashats like Gekitotsu Robots, DoReMiFa Beat, Jet Combat, GiriGiri Chambara, and Sharakiriki Sports because Supporting Gashats has Level 1 and Level 2 sounds in toyline.

Ex-Aid is so heavy on its overarching plot that I think any major character of the week distractions would just irritate me honestly.

Speaking of character of the week plots though, while I like the ones in W by and large, I REALLLLLLY wish the Puppeteer Dopant episodes didn't exist. Is this an unpopular opinion or nah?

I love Puppeteer Dopant mask but I don't like his clothes....

Ex-aid's a pretty interesting take on the Rider vs. Rider storyline. Unlike Ryuki or Gaim, which were both a lot more ambiguous as to who was the good guy and who was the bad guy, Ex-Aid's Riders are pretty much either good, the doctors, or evil, the Bugsters, and the Rider vs. Rider part of the show is a lot more downplayed compared to those show. While their methods and ideals are different, there's no question that all the Rider's in Ex-Aid's party, save for Kuroto, are good guys.

On the other hand, while the show plays some of them sympathetically, the Bugsters are treated almost entirely as trouble to humanity at best or completely evil at worst.

Long story short, Ryuki and Gaim were about selfish people doing selfish things for selfish reasons and how the main Rider was shaped and changed by coming into conflict with these people. For Ex-Aid though, the Rider vs. Rider part of the show is very much like the dancing in early Gaim. Its important in some ways but most just a prologue for things to come. If it wasn't for the fact that almost every major villain in the show is a Kamen Rider, Ex-Aid really wouldn't Rider vs. Rider Show.

That being said, I would also be interested in a Ryuki/Gaim-esque take on Ex-Aid.

From what I gather, the only thing concerning homosexuality about Japan is that they don't get gay marriage because they see it as "meaningless". However, you won't get shit for being gay there. The donut shop keeper's actor is gay irl and the voice actor for Dio since the 2012 JoJo adaptation is openly bisexual and currently has a boyfriend if I'm not mistaken

I kind of like how Ex-Aid does it, it almost combines the all-out Rider war aspects of Ryuki and Gaim with a more traditional Kamen Rider approach, but has very serialized storytelling. I think it balances a lot of elements near perfectly.

While it did take me a bit to like the Fourze suits, I am glad others don't really like it. Only for the reason that it makes the gimmick line and figuarts cheaper.
