Funimation will get the most bang for the buck with Cartoon Network.

Assuming that Toei has to make Funimation wait for Kai to be over similar what happen with GT after DBZ then we will probably wait until 2017 for Super to air in the US. I can wait for a dub since I like Dragon Ball better in Japanese.

New episode of Super tonight was good in my opinion. Champa himself was very enjoyable and it felt good seeing something new for once. It made me want to see more and I can't wait for next week's episode. I plan to watch the episode again once it's subbed.

Watched 27 an 28 of Super. Good riddance to the terrible RF retell.

On the other hand, OH MY GOD!! This is what Super should have been all along!!! That was absolutely fantastic. I loved the banter between Beerus and Champa. I really hope that when Funimation releases it they start Volume 3 at episode 28.

I read the latest version of the Dragon Ball Super Manga, I am intrigued with how the Tournament Starts of the Sixth Universe Saga. The anime will probably pass the Manga in the next few months so I can't wait to see this saga unfold.

In the next few months? Is the anime even going to follow the manga since the manga is not written by Toriyama while the anime is? Or at least, the anime is supposed to be from the last thing I read a while back.

Could Cell even be brought back to life? No one outside of Earth knows who he is. I doubt anyone on Earth would want to wish him back to life. We also don't know if his soul has been reincarnated yet? Freeza lived a longer life, so King Enma probably wants his soul to be torture in Hell before he is reincarnated into a new life.

Super Android 17?

Well the last episode of the anime was 95% the same as the issue that came out a few months ago. They skipped the Freeza saga in the Manga. I have no idea if the anime will or not. The Beerus Saga was done in like 3 or 4 issues of the Manga and has been on the 6th Universe/Champa saga since.

I don't want a old villains coming back. It seems like when they do, fans seem to hate it like with Golden Freeza, Super 17 and the Garlic Jr. saga. I seen fans call Revival of F as bad fan fiction.

i called revial of f falling under the reused old plot syndrome. i mean most movie before Bog some where just reusing old elements of story from the manga. RoF did the same thign it re used freezer arc switched with him coming back and mirrored some ways goku vegeta scene in freezer saga swaped it around this time goku get shot by a lazer beam and it in same spot as vegeta was on name and it just felt so one side any way. it way i still prefered BoG over RoF

Well the reason why they skipped Frieza's arc in the manga was because they already did the Fukatsu no F manga earlier this year. It would have been a waste to do it again. Although, you could say the same thing about the show.

Not really the reason as I read ROF manga that was more as preview manga only covered up before golden freezer fight and just cover begins God film and bases of goku and freezer fight and ends just when freezer was bout to change

The thing is, RF was never meant to be anything more than a 90 minute movie. It's purpose was to give fanservice (since Freeza is the fan favorite villain in Japan) and to show that no matter how much more powerful he may get, he will never beat Goku. Nothing more, nothing less. It accomplished what it set out to do in the movie and that is how it should have stayed.

BoG and RF are like comparing DB and DBZ. BoG had a much better plot, was more comedic, and introduced new mythology to the universe. RF was more action packed, light on plot, but it was still a fun and enjoyable ride and gave us great fanservice.

I think both are fantastic movies and they work perfectly well with each other. I think it is funny though how the people who complained that BoG lacked action then complained that RF had too much action.

ROF is the best looking animated DB movie in my opinion and the fight scenes are amazing. Super's version of ROF would be put me to asleep. The last saga in a DB TV show that made me want to sleep was the Garlic Jr. saga. It was that bad in my opinion.

Only thing I hated in RF was cell shading cgi it was crap I mean in BoG I literally had watch the film two to three Tim to notice cell shading chi in fight scene

I like the analogy to DB and DBZ with those movies. I did enjoy Battle of Gods better because of the comedy. I liked that RF basically showcased both Goku's and Vegeta's weaknesses. Also I feel that the whole point of the RF is hopefully leading to a threat that Goku and Vegeta are forced to work together to stop it.

The new episode of Super tonight had a flashback to Beerus fighting Buu on Bluma's ship. Toriyama seems like that he had nothing to do with the retelling of BOG and ROF from what we know. The manga of Super has Goku remember hearing the 12 universes while he does not in the anime.

I think Super could be set in it's own continuity just like GT and Online at this rate.

yet again i have been think retelling of BoG and RoF are Filler. yet universe 6 stuff continy where RoF film left of with just the after party missing.

Gohan is training really hard with Piccolo and he has his end of DBZ hair style. I just hope Piccolo won't be a jobber when he fights against the Universe 6 fighters.

Really do wonder why we can't seem to get "good" fansubbers for this show yet. The only ones I keep seeing for this week's episode are absolutely atrocious. Gonna give it a few days then, hopefully something gets put out before the next episode..

I know next to nothing about fansubbing groups, who to look for, etc. I just know that most other shows I watch, I don't have to wait that long to find a relatively decent fansub to stream. Where it's at least good enough to understand what's being said. But whoever keeps doing the early DBZ stuff is just so off.

Dragon Team is the best choice for Super fansubs. It's a shame that Toei didn't have Funimation do a simulcast on the show. Toei wants a TV deal out of Super first.

How long do they usually take to finish an episode?

A couple of days usually. They've had significant delays in the past but have stepped it up recently since the other "good" fansubbers got a cease and desist.

Oh hot damn that new Super Chapter! Not translated yet but there are some great fights this issue. And we finally get to see how awesome Frost is. And oddly how kind & good he is too.

Dragon Team subs are out aaaand... wow those are infinitely better. Probably just going to start waiting for those now.

I read the new manga chapter RAW. Pretty good fight between Frost and Goku. It seems like normal SSj is back which seems pointless now with the new god forms. Toriyama made it sound like that Goku absorb the god power within him. I'm let down by Frost's new forms because They are the same as Freeza's forms. His third form is the same as Freeza's third form.

Yup. I read the issue yesterday as well and thought it was kind of cop out that Frost's forms worked out that way. Though they do look good as color swaps of Frieza. Now I'll take a figuart of his final form please, easy repaint :lol

But I'm immensely happy to see normal Super Saiyan/SS2 return in the manga at least.

Goku and Vegeta have beards now!

We watched episodes 29-31 of Super and I can not believe they made 75% of episode 30 a freaking clip show. A CLIP SHOW!!!! This is the third episode of the arc and they already spent 10 minutes of it recapping everything that happened in the previous two episodes. WTF Toei?!!!!!! This was utter laziness. Episode 29 was entertaining, especially when Bulma whacked Beerus, but I will admit 31 was awesome. It was so cool getting to see Tights and a few scenes from the Jaco manga in anime form. I really wish they would turn that into an OVA or something. Nevertheless, a clip show that featured 5 minutes of important scenes was extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

Frost is like a evil Mr. Satan in Freeza's body. Having him be evil really ruin Super for me. I was looking for a member of Freeza's race that is not evil. He end up being another Freeza just like how Coola (Cooler) and Chilled was.
