You have no idea how happy I am this was made. I was speaking to the creator of @Trollsei and suggested something like this.

So, I feel compelled to point out that no where on the Morphin' Madness website does it say that the special edition key set will be the five winning rangers.
It just says that it's gonna be five keys and the official rules actually state that the keys in the set are chosen by Bandai, not the contest, and the value of the set plus gold morpher is placed at $65. $65 is awful cheap for custom keys, and most of that value is probably in the gold morpher. So, despite all your voting, you probably still won't get any keys for Rangers that won't be getting keys anyway. |

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...0/822/2xzp.jpg So the votes do matter. Hence why NoMoreTommy was born. Why vote for keys that will eventually exist anyway? The winners of this should be the unique rangers that Bandai isn't going to make because of the toylines' limitations. |
No worries, you're not being a jerk.
I didn't see that image on the site. Do you have a link? Also, from the official rules: FIVE (5) GRAND PRIZES: A toy prize package. Prize package consists of six (6) toys (toys determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion). Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $65. http://morphinmadness.com/official-rules.html |
That image comes from Sabans own initial press release for Morphin Madness. Sure you can argue the semantics of what "determined by sponsor" means but it's pretty clear that it's the winning rangers that will be made as keys. They wouldn't keep calling the upcoming set the "Morphin Madness Ranger Key Set" if it had nothing to do with the brackets.
The approximate retail value really doesn't mean much though. The same kind of disclaimers exist for things like SDCC exclusives too. The SDCC Legacy Morpher only had an approximate retail value of about $75 as I recall and was I believe sold for that at the convention before shooting up to hundreds of dollars on the aftermarket. The retail value is more an implication of the items worth rather than a specifier of it's contents. |
I understand, but consider this: I think it's more likely that all Rangers in the contest will get keys. That's probably why they're included in the contest in the first place. It's the ones not included that probably will never have keys.
Also, as a side note, you can't base whether or not a key will be made off of if it was made for Gokaiger or if it's for a PR-exclusive Ranger. They aren't using the same toys for the Power Rangers as for the Gokaigers. The Legendary keys are a smaller size and the helmets are more detailed. They could make a Turbo Phantom Ranger key and it wouldn't be any more expensive for them to mass produce than for any of the other Legendary keys. The possibility of them making these keys is supported by the fact that a PR-exclusive Ranger will be appearing in the Super Megaforce finale! (Lightspeed Titanium Ranger) |
The Legendary Ranger keys do not have more detailed heads to the BOJ Ranger Keys. The detail on the heads ranges from exactly the same to much lower then the BOJ ones.
|
We'll just have to agree to disagree on that point. :)
Either way, they are new production of a different mold. |

Stronger than before....Tokunation.
Power up the votes....Tokunation. Members up for call...Tokunation fans... |
Well the Tommys are still getting murdered.
|
Black DT at 29%...white ranger has 30%...and i forgot to look at Green's as of this writing...just dont feel right...especially with green loosing by so much. something feels fishy.

And it seems that JDF has lost the votes of a lot of fans thanks to his begging. |
Titanium: 56%
Phantom: 51% |
Something is odd about the Tommy votes. They've all gotten about 90,000 votes total, while most of the other ones have around 50,000. Do some people really hate JDF that much? Honestly, I'd rather see all the effort people are putting into making JDF lose be put into making Titanium and Phantom win.

And I agree on the last point, but the thing is that Titanium Ranger and Phantom Ranger will never get a non US Key. Even though the US Keys suck compared to the JP, having some version is better then none at all. Quote:

Eitherway, I didn't mean to derail the thread again. I was just pointing out that saying the US are more detailed is incorrect. |

Those characters need some love ASAP: Mystic Force White (still couldn't get MMPR Yellow), Jungle Fury Rhino (losing to MMPR Red- I mean, seriously???), RPM Gold (losing to SMF Red- aw c'mon now >,>).
All the other guys we're voting for are winning. Though admitted, I can't decide between Phantom and Ninja Storm Green- Ninja Storm deserves some love, but Phantom would be cool too.... |
rpm gold is at 48%, jungle fury rhino is at 31%, and mystic white is at 47%. mystic white and jungle fury rhino need our help.
|
Also, later today, I will be making a tribute video for the Titanium and Phantom Rangers

Glad to see the numbers are still holding strong. A lot of people have raised concerns as to why the Tommy's are losing at such significant numbers. Guess what? That's what happens when the actor who played him uses social media as a soap box to demand he win a trivial internet contest in the most childish way possible. All the while insulting fans as he goes through the process of demanding his internet cookies. People have focused hard on those matchups frankly because of how much of a jackass he's currently being.
I need Phantom and Titanium to win for my peace of mind, and despite my campaign to get them moving, NoMoreTommy is the one that's taken hold with the wider fandom. And that's okay. Because once he's out of the way, people can focus on real votes instead of attacking each other over something like which Tommy is best. EDIT: The end game has always been to support rangers that would not receive keys outside of this competition. And it still is the goal. NoMoreTommy was meant to push obvious keys out of the picture so the rangers who were getting the shaft key wise stood a real chance. If people want to call me a hater for starting that then they clearly still don't understand the goals I have in mind. |
Uhhhh guys. JDF just let everybody know on Facebook the delete cookies trick so you can keep voting over and over.
|
Yeah, he brought this bitterness on himself. He's like that aging high school jock that is constantly trying to relive his glory days. It's frustrating that he can't see anyone that doesn't see him as the best as anything but a hater. And now that he's actively encouraging people to cheat to protect his own fragile ego...
I didn't have a problem with him personally before this, but he's really showing his true colors as an arrogant, egomaniacal, jackass. |
He's posted it everywhere he possibly could. He just still doesn't get the point of what Morphin Madness is about.
|
That along with everything else he's done so far is pretty much making me think of him quite negatively now.
|
This whole thing has gotten to be a mess...

Well, but we know the cookie trick as well. If the JDF army is gonna cheat, I'm not afraid to cheat as well. ööv
|
Now don't say that. We don't need to sink to his level necessarily. We want this to remain a fair competition.
|
I do not condone cheating. I will not endorse cheating. If you are cheating, I encourage you to stop. This whole thing is already a giant clusterf*ck now as it is, and accusations of cheating are flying on both sides of this whole "JDF" debacle.
Just vote, cross your fingers, and see what happens. |

Yeah if everyone starts cheating, It makes everyone involved look bad. I mean, in all honesty, I'm certain some anti-JDF people used the cookie trick to cheat, but we shouldnt do the same simply because we xont wanna put up with his showboating.
Really all we want is for keys that have little chance of getting a widespread release to win so we can show Bandai that we want more than the keys they're giving us. All Tommies are getting keys. So we should just vote fair and square for the ones that won't. I just dont see how it went from a simple Ranger Key competition to Legendary War II over the course of a few days and JDF shenanigans... |
