Seriously, virtually everything Astra comes with is tied to Leo, outside of the extra hands, timer and Tamashii adapter piece.

As for Astra himself, neck's rather stiff and he can't really look up (not surprising, given the molded-in ridge that goes down the back of his head all the way to his butt) or down, though perhaps on the latter I just need to loosen the neck a bit more.

The Ultra Double Flasher isn't difficult to peg in (though you'll want to watch where you grab it to avoid the spikes on each side of the ball piece); you will need the extra collar piece that's included for Leo so he can position his arms correctly (his standard collar gets in the way otherwise).

The Ultra Cape pegs in fine to Leo (and Astra) but it feels a bit flimsier than the standard Brothers Mantle or Father's mantle. It doesn't feel fragile, just, I don't know...dinkier? The middle cape piece unpegs really easily from the cape. The golden shoulder pieces are connected a bit loosely to their hinge joints and are a bit easy to knock off.

Both do maintain solid balance with it on and don't need a Tamashii stand, but as with Father and any other Ultra wearing the Brothers Mantle, it's probably still best to have one handy.

So yeah, if you own Leo renewal already, this is a useful upgrade set to pick up, and hey you get a free Astra thrown in too!

Leo's brother really does feel like an incidental inclusion. I know he doesn't have as much stuff (unique weapons or attacks/effects parts) as Leo does...but yeah, there's really not much here for him. Lacking the Ultra Key that the original release had doesn't help; they couldn't have thrown in an Astra Shower effect part, at least?

I know Ultra-Act has (somewhat annoyingly) stepped away from releasing kaiju figures within the line, and I wasn't expecting this either, but it's too bad they couldn't have made this a two-pack with Ron and they Ultra Key thrown in, at least. It might've helped a bit in the "bang for your buck" department.

Thanks for posting this, Orbital Frame. I want this set. My Ultra-Act Astra arrived today and he's a good figure. Now I need to get two Magma Seijin Ultra-Acts.

I don't really have room right now (or in the immediate future) to properly display the Golgatha set, but I'll preorder anyways whenever it goes up. Not sure how people would respond to what would appear to be a crucified Ultraman on display in my house lol.

That would be an awesome display.... Expensive as all hell, but awesome nonetheless...

those displays would work great for recreating the final eps of gokaiger where the armada had a few of them crucified.

If I were you, you should preorder the set as soon as possible. Since on online sets now the preorder went from $92 to 130+ and some sites went as far as setting pre order price of $200. I am glad I preordered mine for $116 with 2-3 days shipping

NY remains the same as when they first listed it; I don't know if it's changed, but Biginjapan clocks in at 10700 yen. Has Yokatta not put it up yet? I don't see it when I check their site.

I would be wary of ordering from that place, too good to be true and all that. They also supposedly have $25 King Ghidorahs, which is ridiculously suspect unless they were loose reject ones like the kinds one used to find on Taobao every so often.

Still, there's always that slim chance of legitimacy. Sadly, not the kind of storefront that's easy to look up more info about.

That doesn't answer my question though, what retailers were jacking up the price to preorder from their original offering?

AH guess so too.. Blah it's REAL hard to find Ultra Act Zoffy for a reasonable price nowadays.. :/

Of course Image Anime and eBay sellers would pull that nonsense. The typical good middleman services never intentionally jack up exclusive prices during the preorder period, because it's not as if the Tamashii Webshop ever messes with their announced prices.

Zoffy already got one reissue, but it was much longer ago than any of the other Ultra Brothers. I could see a third happening sometime in 2015 to accompany all the 2014/15 reissues already announced.

Watch someone buy Zoffy from that site and ends up getting a box of sand inside instead of a figure.

Wish the Ultra Act Mebius's eye was more alive as in more bright yellow then pale white, but overall pretty good

That looks like a color filter added to one of the existing Tiga figures, not even close to paint.

It looks much better than the first version they showed us before.

Hikari looks a whole lot better than the old prototype. At some point it would be cool if they would make an armored Hunter Knight version. Maybe a 2 pack with Brave Phoenix Mebius.
