To be fair, audiences are really fucking stupid. After having a legit conversation with someone arguing that Arrow is "The dude from the Avengers," I can totally see why DC would make that assumption...

No joke. One of my former roommate's friends was dead set on believing that Arrow was about Hawkeye, and it's why he didn't get his own movie. :lol

Still inexcusable. Marvel has their comics, tv shows and MCU. They like working on multiple different universes for different characters. DC should learn from this, as nobody's thinking Drake Bell is Tom Holland or anything. Then again, I hear DC reboots everything after getting bored

The difference is Marvel HAD to do that to save themselves from bankruptcy*admittedly because of their own stupid decisions* DC doesn't.

I'm not going to pretend I'm an expert, but a friend of mine who's basically my go-to Comic guru, told me that DC has a habit of rebooting a lot more than Marvel. Also, out of curiosity, has DC had 2 different universes of comics come out at the same time? Amazing Spiderman and Ultimate Spiderman both got released in the mid-2000's

When the JL movie trailer came out, I see people asking why Cyborg is with the JL when he is a member of the Teen Titans. When the GL movie came out a few years ago, I see people that are surprise that the GL is white and not a American American person. Most people don't read comics sadly. They go by what they watch on TV or by the movies.

I also saw people that where confused why The Flash in the JL movie trailer is not the same in the CW TV show.
