Ticket, couldn't see any other contact method. They replied almost immediately and said they'd look into what is going on and get my stuff shipped out. It's vague and generic so I didn't know what to expect, but it's been almost a full day now since that reply and I've heard nothing else and my stuff hasn't shipped either.

This may just mean they're still trying to find what the problem actually is, but now I've already asked them once I don't know what kind of timeframe to use any more. I mean if I give it another week, it's taking the piss a bit really isn't it? But if I reply to them tomorrow evening then maybe I haven't given them enough time.

Hrm. I wouldn't wait more than two business days after their last email, personally. I'd just let them know you were following up as it seems other folks have gotten theirs and you hadn't heard back. The whole point of a ticket system for most businesses is to keep you up to date on things and it looks as though they've kind of dropped the ball this time.

Alright I'll drop another ticket, see what happens.

Considering Yokatta has the ridiculously dodgy and untrustworthy "Payment as Gift" BS, I'd be freaking out if a parcel from them was taking 3 months too!

Kyoryu Gold is on a delivery truck on its way to me. The wait is killing me~!

Meanwhile my Kabuto is still being processed for shipping even though I paid as soon as they requested it...

On a happier Nippon Yasan note, my Kyoryu Gold arrived today.

He's fairly beautiful. I really love the Zander Thunder, I'm really glad it opens and he actually holds his Zyudenchi well! I'm still terrified of losing the little thing, but damn does he look awesome setting up his finisher! The Garubri Changer is especially well detailed and looks fantastic, too, every tiny detail is there, even on such a small piece, its truly fantastic. To change his left hand, the Gaburi Changer is removable, which is good, so you can take the hands out easily and then put the Changer back on before putting the new hands in. It makes changing his hands A LOT easier then I was predicting. And he's got his wings! I'm still wondering if at one point they really were gonna miss them out, because some of the photos on the box have them and some don't, I'm just really glad they do!

Some complaints, his hands for holding the Zander Thunder aren't the best and he drops it a lot when its not opened and I really wish he came with interchangeable extended wings to pose him flying. Still, he's a really fantastic figure.

I'll do some more photos and post them in the Cool Stuff thread when I get back from work. Sadly my display room is full of furniture while we put in some new flooring and paint some rooms so I can't get to my other Kyoryugers and do some poses of Kyoryu Red with the Fang Shot he comes with right now!

I've had my two most expensive figures break on me because their wrist joints were weak. I own well over 50 Figuarts, all of which I treat with the utmost care. So am I lazy, like to complain and feel the figure is to blame rather than myself?

So Nippon Yassan didn't reply to my message in the last 12 hours and my order still hasn't moved. Now I am getting a little worried.

Maybe send a paypal dispute? That'll get them moving. Just say something like "I'm just making sure that I don't miss out on the timeframe of paypal, I still really want the items and I'm not escalating this to a claim but I just would feel safer with the discussion to be here" and put into detail how long you've been waiting and how you only got one reply and it was vague.

People say Paypal disputes should be VERY last resort, but I've always been relatively quick to open them and have never had to escalate to a claim.

It sucks that they're screwing you around, I've been a huge fan of them and have been recommending them heaps. Its disappointing to see.

I dunno, that just feels like I'm escalating a lot in a short frame of time but I just don't really have any time frames to work off or past experience. I'm completely in the dark here.

And my Hobbysearch order just shipped, so looks like I'll be getting my Kabuto... in a few weeks...

Think I'm gonna go ahead and do that paypal dispute, it's been another nine hours which is pushing us very close to almost another full working day without a word.

Nippon Yassan claims that if I open a dispute all orders will be cancelled, and my account will be closed, until the dispute is solved. Should I give them another day? Or should I just go for it?

In general, I tend to give a minimum of 24 hours (not counting weekends) and a maximum of 48 hours (again, no weekends) for contact when dealing with business disputes. But, that's just me.

What happened with Nippon Yassan? I ask because I have Tiger Ranger and Shadow Chaser preordered over there.

They changed my order to processing and a week past and nothing moved. I sent them a message enquiring, to which they swiftly replied in the vaguest way possible 'sorry about this well sort it asap' blahblah, I waited a day. Nothing. Sent a follow up. And now a day has past, nothing has moved and no reply from them.

Well then...your situation has me worried now as well. I've had a large, over 300 dollar, order placed with them for months now. It consists of three Kyoryu Golds, the Kyoryu Blue and Green 2-pack, and the Makai Kadou Gai.

I paid for it just before the 2-pack came out last month. It's now been 9 days since my order was switched to "preparation" status, and I've heard nothing since. I asked them about it yesterday morning, but have still received no response regarding the issue.

Now I'm wondering if I should open up a Paypal claim, even if it does mean I'll be losing out on a bunch of exclusive pre-orders I've had made.

Honestly I ended up opening the dispute because I don't really want the stuff any more, I mean I DO want the figures but this is one of the most expensive orders I've ever placed, and I placed it under the good word this site has had from members on here and then it turns into the worst experience I've had buying figures.

I've been almost 140 quid down for almost a month and a half because of their ludicrous payment system and even when my order finally moved to processing I'm still sitting here with nothing to show for it.

Pretty much my whole order has shown up on Mandrake, and it'll cost loads more in the long run to order from them, but I've never had a single problem with them so you get what you pay for I suppose. Honestly this is worse than HLJ as at least HLJ aren't pocketing your money while putting the order on a backburner.

I've ordered from N-Y before without any issues. I don't know what is causing the problem this time.

I'm already out 330 dollars after shipping costs, even if I get that money back, as you said, I'm going to be out even more trying to even track down Kyoryu Gold, my most wanted Figuart in a long time, and largely the main reason why I even bothered purchasing the Kyoryugers.

Now I'm also going to have future preorders cancelled and have to find an alternative source to buy them. This is infuriating. I don't know what the hold up is this time. Other people who placed their orders after Kyoryu Gold's release are getting their orders just fine.

Yeah KyoryuGold was the only one I actually wanted as well, I only got Green and Blue to give him company. And I only got Dragon Shield Red because I lost the Dragon Dagger on my Green Ranger. >.<

Think I'll just grab a Gold on Mandrake and pick up the rest of the ZyuRangers on there rather than Kyoryuger's I only half wanted that led to a sour order.

It looks like I have until Friday to place a Paypal dispute, so I'll hold off until Thursday in hopes something gets fixed, otherwise I'll be opening up one just like you and head back to using Yokatta for all my future exclusive orders.

Then I'll begin the long, painful process of trying to reacquire these figures for their secondary market prices. :(

Well speak of the devil, I just received a pretty bullshit sounding response. This is what I was just told:

Bandai sent us a message to apologize they unfortunately have delay on shipping our stocks we have to wait for them to ship we apologize for this situation if you rather cancel this order we will totally understand and allow it

So it sounds like they were shorted on their order, but instead of giving priority to preorder customers, they instead began sending out figures to people who placed new orders after the release.

I know you're frustrated and I'm not trying to add to that, really. I just don't understand how paying a week before the item is released is ludicrous. Is there any place that doesn't require payment for exclusives until after they come in? I know you paid when you ordered, but it wasn't required, as I recall. Again, not trying to add to your frustration, just curious.

Edit: I totally agree, though, that their handling of everything since your order was placed has been ridiculous.

I'm actually worried now because I have Kamen Rider Bravo pre-ordered through NY and he's probably the Gaim figuart I want the most...

Wow so it really is basically HLJ only they have my money in their pocket already.

They give you a pretty stern time limit, like a week before the release date or something whereas everywhere else don't charge you until your order is actually ready to go. So yeah, it's ludicrous, they shouldn't ask for my money if I'm paying for something that doesn't actually exist yet. Everywhere else will have the stock set aside, and ready to be shipped, before asking for money.

I don't really see a week as ludicrous, honestly, so we'll have to agree to disagree there. But I've ordered from Hobby Search, NY, CS Toys, and HLJ, and HLJ is the only place that didn't require payment before the item was released (probably because they seem to oversell). Heck, CS Toys requires immediate payment, regardless of how far out the order is.

No, it isn't the week, it's the fact it's a week before the toy is released. Not a week before the order is actually ready to be shipped, not a week before they are holding your stock in their hands and putting it in a box, but a week before Bandai themselves release them to retailers. Everywhere else I have used ask for a payment when your actual stock is ready to go.

Which reminds me....Imperer comes out this month, doesn't he? I forgot about him entirely.

Nippon Yassan have refunded me my money and cancelled my order, so I went ahead and grabbed Zack and Kim off of Jungle. Now I just need to wait for Dragon Shield Red to appear on Mandrake and all will be right with the world.

I guess that's good. I asked if they could just refund me for Gold since I believe he's the reason why orders are getting delayed. I doubt they'll be receiving anymore after getting in there initial Gold shipment in after talking with a middleman.

Gold will probably be really expensive on the aftermarket like the others, but I figured he would be a little cheaper to track down than the other two packs.
