...have I mentioned how amazing Fiveman is? Cause it totally is. Quote:
Also, I just finished episode 9. There's a dog in it that chances off CobraMan (GI Joe was right, Cobras are cowards)...and then the dog dies. Then I started episode 10 and Shocker is gathering dogs' blood...This really is a thing, isn't it? I think I'm going to have to start a doggie body count. :lol |
Faiz 24. Another dumb episode!
I like how at the start of this episode, Masato is already 'fuck your smart brains'. Seems pretty fucking pointless to bring up the rouse of him trying to join Lucky Clover if you had no plans to take it anywhere. I also loved the scene where the President uses a Spirit Bomb and rather than reacting to THAT, Takumi asks 'is that the President of Smart Brain'? Fuck, what is it with you and questioning the things that don't need questioning? Plus. There are really important things in this episode, that are underplayed to the point of 'dafook' levels of dafuck. Like at one point the President, in passing, as if it's common knowledge says the Belts were made for the Orphenoch King. EH. Who is the Orphenoch King? The belts were made for Orphenochs? This is a twist right? Why has the conversation already moved on, why isn't that a big deal? Wait, conversation, come back, where are you going? Why are you now talking about Lucky Clover? GO BACK. Same with that scene in the Underground school with the Orphenoch with the belt, it was like five seconds long. WHAT IS GOING ON. It isn't even exciting or intriguing, it's just really frustrating. At least Juuzo actually did something of worth for like the first time since he was introduced. |
Starting Faiz 14: Hey, it's that guy from Cutie Honey the Live. That's about all that's sticking with me at this point. Also, I'm still not feeling the show. I thought Takumi would ease up on being on a jerk, but that hasn't happened yet. I'm still digging the suit designs, though, but I'm still undecided on the driver voice.
Edit: Also, considering all the puppy comments, should I expect Chako to explode or something soon? :lol |
Man I love the sexy Faiz voice. Kaixa on the other hand though just sounds like Faiz in slow motion, which may be exactly what it is, but it still sounds bad.

Chako is so cute!

Well I'm about to watch the Kamen Rider returns, Eternal movie and might watch the Accel movie, then probably move on to my next rider series. Any suggestions for that? I was thinking about blade but there seems to be a bit if a Fauz train going on here.

It took me a while to get past Wizard's driver sounds, but I really ended up enjoying the series. I can easily second a recommendation to watch it.

Faiz 25.
I'm actually growing to kinda hate Takumi as a protagonist, 'Smart Brain are suspicious'. No fucking shit, Sherlock, you've seen them turn into Orphenoch and fought them already. "I thought they were going to save the world." What for the first episode? That was a LONG fucking time ago. I also love how in the space of one episode the President was just like 'lol fuck it, kill them'. I will say that visually, the run around Ryuusei School was really impressive. I am really glad that it wasn't just some random thing dropped from earlier in the show. And I was glad to see the action be on and off from the start, rather than bookended. Shame the ending totally ruined the good parts of the episode. What did Kaixa use instant translocation? How the fuck did he get out of the school? And how'd he just turn up at that stadium where all the Orphenoch's were fighting? And how'd he not bump into Yuuji on the way in? It's amazing you can be so dumb over like two minutes of wrap up. Wow, I'm half way through Faiz? I'm amazed at myself that I made it so far, all things considered. Faiz is not the worst Rider show I've ever seen, or even necessarily a bad show in the first place but the pacing is just fucking terrible. This is the first Rider show I think I've watched, where there is no wider plot yet. It's just mini-arc, on top of mini-arc, which always go nowhere and never allow the characters to grow. What saves the show, is despite the shows age, it has action that rivals with the best of them. I physically can't fathom how Blade can look so bad, when this is just so gorgeous. |
Wait, there are more Wizard fans out there..... :smiles
The Dairangers are shining bright on me right now. |

That sounds like a good idea. Wizard's problem is, that it focuses really heavily on characters of the week, and largely puts the overarching plot in the background. So although you're gonna get a complete story every two episodes, in terms of actual lasting and truly important story, you aren't gonna get much if you just watch one two-part arc a week or whatever. It's best to consume many over one day so you get the satisfaction of the of the week stories - which I personally believe are great, since they are full of drama and Haruto proves himself to be a hilarious, pro-active and incredibly charismatic hero in a beautifully dry, underplayed fashion. But you'll also get enough wider plot to not feel like you've wasted your time. |
Well watched episode one of wizard and that was actually pretty darn great, I thought the fight scenes were fantastic. Now I wrote out a longer review and internet crashed and ya it happened.
Now from what I heard this show borrows stories from Greek mythology like the phantom. I'm actually pretty interested to go on to episode 2. |
Faiz 20: Hojo's an Orphenoch and he's still a tool! *fistshake*

Faiz 26, another episode of nothing.
Whenever the Orphenoch speak, they are just saying lines, rather than actually telling a story. Like that scene framed in the ridiculous art gallery, "Art is either a 0 or a ten, we should be more like that." THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN. I dunno what the point of them were, but the scenes in the nightclub and on the bus were both pretty awesome. Not sure how I feel about Delta though, Kaixa has such beautiful colours but it seems Delta swaps colour for detail. I did lol at the 'red flames' though, which were pink. BADASS PINK. |
Episodes 2-4 of Wizard were alright, I mean the fight scenes are just beautiful, and a nice breath of fresh air, after going through Ryuki.
There as people have said, isn't too much story to pick up on. Koyomi being a puppet thing is a good twist. Overall I'm interested to watch this show the OOO's and probably Fourze. |
Wizard really is all in the action, lucky it's great all the way through, even if Wizard's forms leave a lot to be desired.

So I watched the first two episodes of gaim........ Are they gonna explain what the hell is happening anytime soon? What are there rival dance groups that fight to dance on some random sidewalk? Why is there a giant building that's basically just a radio station? Why do people have lockseeds if they can release a giant monster just by dropping it? Why are they locks at all? Why are there lock dealers? Are they outlawed? If so why does the juice shop owner not kick him out? Why does the dealer still have a first generation Ipad?
But other than that I do like baron. He's cool...... |

Faiz 27.
This shows disregard for geographical continuity is almost as bad as Power Rangers. Honestly the disconnect between time and place is so distracting, it's distracting. Characters appear to teleport around the city, and at times it's so muddled I swear scenes are played out of order. Sometimes I wonder why I even watch this show, when I realise I've watched twenty seven episodes of it already. |

In this show it's just 'send help' as a text and then the characters are just immediately there with not even a second of screen time passing. There is no travelling scene, no moment of establishing or context, they just appear like they teleported. And that is if we're lucky, Laundry's ability to somehow stumble on every Orphenoch attack ever in the city whenever he goes on his delivery round is contrived to ridiculous levels. And THAT isn't even mentioning the amount of episodes that wrap up with an Orphenoch and a Rider just being THERE without any context at all, in some random location that is never established. Like I say, it gets so bad at times trying to work out where everyone is and how people get to and from places that I'm pretty sure the editors cant keep up and end up showing scenes out of order. |
Wizard 7-9 of Wizard were pretty good, got to see more of Haruto's background, as well as Dragon form.
And OMG Phoenix is so strong and has a pretty good design. |
I had no idea the Dragon Forms came that early into the show! Flame Dragon was such a wasted opportunity, and it's all downhill from here, formwise. At least until All Dragon, but that is a surprise for later...

Gaim 10:
Santa Gaim! Santa Gaaiim! We all love Santa Gaim! It was a pretty good episode, and they showed off Zangetsu's henshin which was neat. |
