Cotorus, I think I can explain one problem you have with Kabuto.
And I'll use the anology of Dragonball Z. Remember when Goku would ditch his weighted clothing and increase speed without all that extra weight? Consider the Masked Form of Kabuto his weighted clothing. Also let's look at Rider Form. We can assume any originization capable of creating a Zector, and mastering Clock Up, would know the kind of toll that would have on a body. And would take measures to counteract it. Augmenting Stamina, Strength, and other atributes. Giving Tendou the ability to run across the city while Clock'ed Up so he can match a Worms own augmented abilities. Otherwise Kabuto would get beat down like an unwanted step-child just like the Zect-Troopers. |

Coturos, I find it funny that even though we both dislike Kabuto, we seem to do so for a lot of different reasons. Few of your points were the genuinely bad parts to me. I can accept the show's rules like masked form is slow, rider form is fast, etc. To me the show's biggest flaw was it's complete lack of substance in any meaning of the word. It was devoid of direction or plot. It just did stuff, never for any convincing or worthwhile reasons, if even reasons were given, and none of the characters were likable. It almost seemed like an intense parody, completely devoid of any entertainment. The fight scenes were boring, the characters were nothing, there wasn't any story to be found. The heroes were pretentious blocks of wood and the villans were mindless animals that existed just to be beat up and were never seen even doing anything besides killing a few people. The ones I saw couldn't even speak. Tendou, God, you know he actually struck me as joke at times, a jab at shows that have "epic" protagonists. He was laughably bland, litteraly believed himself invincible for no reason, had complete and utter bullshit abilities and did that moronic "pointing to heaven" gesture that reminds me of an old lady trying to hail a cab more than dramatically pointing to God.

Also, if the end doesn't pull at your heart in some way, you're an inhuman monster. My eyes were welling up I swear. |
