Got Thor this week and he is awesome! Only problem I have is that his hair is a bit difficult to pose at times and his face likes to fall off....lol.

I need to work on my set-up so I can take better photos though, felt like he wouldn't look as good with a white background so I tried experimenting with a black one. These were the best out of the 50+ or so I took. * sigh *

The face on mine falls off all the time. I need to thicken that tab, or something.
It's not perfect, but I rather like the black background. I need to find a dark gray background that I can shoot on. White definitely doesn't work with all figures. Just check out my Decade gallery and see where half his legs disappear. :lol

Thanks, just didn't like the grainy-ness of the photos. Been thinking about upgrading my camera though.

Yeah, I think I either need more/better lighting or maybe just a larger set to take my photos on.


Since I wasn't satisfied with how the first batch of photos turned out, I decided to retake them with my usual white background. I think they turned out much better than before. Just need to figure out the right kind of black backdrop/lighting set-up for the future.

What did you use as the diffuser material, and where did you get it?

I bought flexible-neck desk lamps that were on clearance for like $10-$15 each at Home Depot (or Lowe's, I don't recall exactly). I also got the light bulbs from there, maybe $5 each, CFLs at 5000K. I need to go back and buy a third lamp, two isn't enough in some cases.

Just tissue paper I bought at Walmart, same as my old one. I have 2 clip lamps with 5500K CFL bulbs.

I searched high and low for marbles that looked right. they were surprisingly hard to find. I ended up having to buy a bunch, so I've got extras, if you're interested in a set of 7 I'm sure we can work something out.
