Persona 3. Summer vacation. It's pretty much been "Go practice for the Kendo tournament." "BACK INTO TARTARUS!" I'm so sick of level grinding in Tartarus! I can't even go out and buy new weapons or armor.

Oh man, what a great game Wind Waker was. I just finished it today because I ran out of things to do other than that boring as **** figurine quest. I got all of the hearts, charts, treasures, etc, so I decided it was time to head on to the end since I still had time to spare. Such a great game, one of the best Zelda games ever.

Next week I'm going to finally play The Phantom Hourglass that has been sitting on my shelf for two years now.

Thank god, arceus, Palutena, gosei and every other god that comes to mind. I finally finished the third case of AA2, this case brinds my marathon to a halt i hate it so much.

Damn this is just the demo but i get the feeling this is gonna be on the top 3 of my favorite games this year.

Been playing a lot of Spartan Assault. After beating it I figured I should go back through and try for all gold stars and completion of all assault ops (there are Achievements for them after all lol)...

Just finished everything up through C-5. Holy crap. It's taking time but they weren't all that bad. But they're quickly turning that way. This last one required me to kill 50 Drones with plasma grenades. That's kinda hard considering you can't - or I was never able to - stick the speedy buggers. So that was a tad annoying.

Thank goodness it's basically grinding (but still enjoyable so far), giving me plenty of points to get score boosts for. I've only used 3 I believe and every time I managed to get the minimum score needed for a gold star (or more than even my boosted high score) during another playthrough anyways... but still nice that it's there just in case.

Demo of Bravely Default:

It's pretty cool. I love the main battle theme. gameplay-wise it's like old school final Fantasy with some modern twists.

I've been playing Sonic Lost World on the 3DS. It looks beautiful but after years of Sonic games having the same control system I'm struggling to get used to a new one. Plus the 3D Mario styled levels don't suit Sonic at all, the last thing I want is 15 minute levels dedicated to pushing snowballs into holes.

Also, gyroscopic controls for the special stages is beyond annoying.

I have Link Between Worlds to start up at some point too, but I need to dedicate all my attention to that.

If I could get the WiFi to work on my 2DS I will try the demo, but I was going to get it anyway next month.

Okay, now I'm pissed off...

Spartan Assault, level D-4, Assault Op 2: Kill 20 Jackals with SMGs.

This is a long level. The Jackals only spawn at the very end for a very brief period of time. You cannot skip ahead to them. That alone makes this frustrating.

But then they always have to spawn next to suicide Grunts. ALWAYS. Who invariably blow up the Jackals.

I've been at this for an hour.

I've successfully killed 3 with SMGs.

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

The second half of Ace attorney 2 is so boring it's like my body is preventing me from playing this game at all costs... :/

Finished Starcraft II Heart of the Swarm. Great story and nice to see Kerrigan in a more human light.

Got all gold stars and completed al Assault Ops in single player Spartan Assault! :D

Also finished all of the co-op medals, complete with their gold stars. Just a few Achievements left and daaamn are some of them gonna be hard.

Overachiever: Earn all co-op medals at least once. This will suck. A lot. Some of the medals are just stupidly hard. I've got 3 medals left and am looking up guides for how to get them. One is kill 50 enemies with fire without taking any damage... or shooting any other gun (but of course that's not stated in the description). The second involves blocking flood with a shield. Haven't even used that armor ability so I don't know what that will be like. And the last one wants you to use overshield to prevent infection and should be really easy but I kept screwing up.

Extermination: Kill 10,000 enemies in co-op. Eh. I've got about 2,500 so far based on the progress tracker. This'll just be a matter of grinding...

The Company of Strangers: Complete a co-op mission with at least 5 different players. And here's the problem with co-op. I've got no friends with the game, so I have to be matched up with random people. That's actually going to make this Achievement relatively easy. I just got lucky enough that the second guy I paired with was willing to go through all 5 missions so I haven't gone back lol.

Immune: Finish a co-op mission without becoming infected. Don't think I have this one... and it's just a matter of time, anyways. The first mission isn't that hard and I should be able to do it there.

The Enemy of my Friend: Get a higher individual score than your partner on all co-op missions. Oh boy... I really, really want to know how this one actually works. Is it any partner? Or the same? That's very important. And I can't seem to find anybody saying whether it's one way or the other. And I did do better than my partner just now in one mission but the tracker doesn't show that sooo... I dunno, we'll see.

But I'm determined to make my first Xbone game my first 100% completed Xbone game. It helps that it's fun heh.

Been playing one piece pirate warriors 2 and man this game so much fun then first just need to do the crew log story to unlock the final chapters of the game and to get law

Oh thank god i'm almost done with Justice for all! I'll finish it off tomorrow so the day after i can begin Trials and Tribulations.

Well what do ya know. Just got the Enemy of My Friend and Immune Achievements for Spartan Assault. Was not expecting that today - had only signed on for the new challenge. But I'll totally take the 200G. ^_^

I beat the first case of Trials and tribulations today. This game has the most emotion fueling music i have ever heard.

I've been getting back into Garry's Mod. It's so much fun!

Spartan Assault is now 100% complete! My first Xbox One game is also the first Xbone game in which I got all of the Achievements. Pretty happy. :)

Unless you count the Challenges... which I don't.

Of course it does mean I need to pick a new game. Not that I'll stop playing this, especially with the Challenges I don't have yet being weeks apart. But then again... I do need to get the AC4 Freedom Cry DLC, AC3: Liberation comes out soon, and the HD rerelease of Fable is next month... Plus I got invited back to the ESO beta this weekend... hmm... lot of options in the near future. None of them Xbox One games lol.

Picked up FarCry 3: Blood Dragon earlier this week during the Xbox Deal of the Week sale and wrapped it up today.

I strongly feel as though I got my $5 worth. Now back to Mass Effect 3.

Honestly never understood the hype for FF7.

I'm convinced it's because it popularized rpg's fr the west.

Not really. FF6, Chrono Trigger, and Secret of Mana did that more.

I think it's more of it being revolutionary at the time.

Yeah…from what I understand it's among the first PS1 games to use AMVs?

I respect that it's a landmark but the game itself I never really found all that engaging…I certainly would not call it the best RPG on the console because there are soooooooo many other titles that deserve that.

Lunar 2: eternal blue and Xenogears just to name a few.

I suppose it was simply at the right place, played by the right people at the right time. Things like that will embed you in people's nostalgia forever.

FF7's hype came from a lot of factors including graphics, story telling, and solid game play all coming together with a hint of animu that, for American audiences at the time, was rare.

FF7 was a game ultimately about the story first, which was in an era where the only games that had deep stories were either relegated to PC or you had to read a book first.
