If Cosmos gets a re-do then so does Cheetor. Also if Hasbro's game for it a new TM2 Megatron would be aces as well. |
At their tradeshow this weekend, Disney has confirmed there are no hand-animation projects in the works.
http://geektyrant.com/news/2013/8/9/...medium=twitter I'll be immensely disappointed if the old art style is really gone. There's very few formats as enriching and entertaining as classic Disney animation. |

It also doesn't surprise me that the new Star Wars show is CG. Clone Wars was. |
Watched the trailers for Wander over Yander.
This artstyle seems familiar. >Craig Mc Cracken. Oh this gun be good. >Lauren Faust. This is gonna be milked for all it's worth isn't it? Wel l it is Disney, they'll put a rock on sale and they'll still make money. |
Watching Brave and the Bold over on Netflix. I'm kind of disappointed that it only has up to half of season 2, but eh.
I love the Joe Chill episode with the Spectre. |

From what I've been told, Kingdom Come was all around awesome.
And I really need to watch that. |

Watched Flashpoint Paradox. Pretty decent DC animated movie but in some place i just ask myself why would they do that. Also since they made this movie does that mean that they are going to use the new 52 looks for their next movies?

The only real problem I had with Flashpoint as an animated movie was that it made certain characters so one note and pointless that their inclusion was just padding (Notably, Hal Jordan in the alt. universe).
I'm interested in War, but I just hope they get the time to tell the story. |

Catwoman is the worst offender. She near date-raped Batman for Christ's Sake. I miss Knights End 90's Purple Suit Catwoman. The strong independant woman who didn't need anyone. This new one they seem to be putting into every fiction (Arkham City/DC Universe Online)? Yea.. She can die now. |

This is what happens when fans grow up and write for their favorite characters.
Frank Miller is the worst offender and easily the best example. He sees his childhood crush as the "Epitome of beauty," thus turning her into a stripper with superpowers. He sees his favorite hero as the "Epitome of awesome," making them infallible titans, and, because they're his favorite, they insert themselves into the shoes of the hero, thus they make their boyhood crush bend ass over backwards to bed the hero. It's clear that when Frank writes Batman, this is EXACTLY how he views it, allowing himself to live vicariously through the ultra badass who women are tossing their panties at. I'd love to see characters return to their stronger days, when their being an independent woman didn't mean they were secretly craving a strong man to bed them. :I As for Barbara, I was never a big Batgirl fan, but from what I've been told by other comic readers, they actually found her to be a better character as Oracle and found others like Stephanie to be better under the Batgirl mantle. |

"Every major female character in DC Comics" is a massive exaggeration. |

I'm not a big DC comics reader, but don't even try to lie with that. Isn't her entire gimmick that her breasts are drawn larger with every appearance? :lol |

The boob thing is constantly treated as massive tongue-in-cheek joke. It hasn't even COME UP writingwise in the New 52, so if anything it's been toned down. The character herself is an incredibly intelligent woman who's the head of her own company. So a considerably stronger written character than Catwoman has EVER been as far as I'm concerned. So yeah, she's not the "hormone driven slut-monkey" you're making every DC character out to be. |
Doesnt make it any less right. You can make a strong female character without being built like something from a Miller WetDream.
|
Again, tongue-in-cheek jokes. Just because readers slobber over it doesn't mean the quality of her stories are dominated by it.

Power Girl is geniunely fun and interesting character on her own, and she has also had some really good books and stories. The boob thing is only a running gag, not her defining character trait. |
Beware the Batman Episode 4 has one of favrioute moments of the series:
Batman: Computer, last known location of Humpty Dumpty Computer: A wall Batman totally got sassed by his own computer.:lol |

Wow Beware 5 was bad.
I dunno what was more dumb in this episode 'Humphrey Dumpler', the laser guns suddenly appearing after bullets were used in all the other episodes, or Gordon taking unknown cell calls next to a bomb he has yet to know what is detonated by. Why are any of these things a problem, you may ask? Well we're supposed to think Batman is this real weirdo, in his costume fighting criminals and we're supposed to think it's so crazy that these statues are turning up but apparently a normal day in Gotham is for it never be daytime, for the streets to be permanently devoid of life, for people to wander around with laser guns and for people to be born there looking like fairytale characters, honestly Batman may well be the most normal thing in this show. The other problem is the tone of the show is all over the map, guns are a no no apparently but you can rip someone's soul out on screen, commit suicide, strap people to bombs, have Batman reading about murdered women. Etc etc The action scenes are certainly getting better, but the gangly limbs still make everything look worryingly clunky, and I dunno, the aim for the head and hope no one is inside didn't feel very Batman like - nor did using the guns. "Never sneak up on an old spy while he's making a sandwich." |

Still not sure how I feel about RWBY. If anything I wish the episodes were longer to be able to form more of an opinion on the characters before it suddenly cutting out. I guess what I dislike the most is how terribly cliché it is that Ruby and Weiss don't get along for now.
Jaune's future team is what's interesting me the most right now. I do love all of the weapons they came up with though. |

You know, I want to see a cartoon based on Batman, Incorporated. Every episode could focus on one Batman/Batgirl/Batwoman/Batboy operating in their assigned country, with a crossover happening during a worldwide crisis. I want this mainly because of Nightrunner.
