I rewatch the last few recent episodes of Super (including this week's episode of Super) and I really like the last few episodes. Hit is probably my new favorite character in the show so far. I'm loving the Champa arc so far and I'm glad that the show has gotten much better after the last two re-tellings of the movies in my opinion.

The movie retellings were pure rehashed junk, just totally unnecessary. The additional stuff was so padded out. Aside from a few minor scenes that added depth to what was happening. But thankfully we finally got beyond that. And while the tournament has been pretty iffy for the most part, the last 5 or 6 episodes (minus Magetta) have been really solid stuff. Yesterday's Super Saiyan Blue Kaikoen was fantastic. I really am looking forward to where the show goes post tourney.

Also i watched the episode with Cabba Vs Vegeta, that has got one of my favorite moments in Dragon ball to be honest.

The only thing that I hated about the Champa saga so far is Frost being evil. I was so looking forward to having a good guy of Freeza's race. His motivations are bit different than Freeza, but he is still a evil tyrant.

Looks like Arale from Dr. Slump is coming back in Dragon Ball Super.

new arc to feature future trunks and goku black

Really really excited to see Trunks coming back. This Black Goku/Goku Black character I'd theorize is probably one of 4 things:

a) a remnant of Goku from an alternate timeline caused either by Trunks going back and forth to the main continuity timeline, or because of his Time Patrol adventures in Xenoverse. People are saying there's the possibility that a lot of that stuff could come into play, especially in terms of the Kai of Time.

b) Goku from an alternate universe. While Universe 6 & 7 are twins and we see many similarities, we don't actually know of a Goku that exists in Universe 6 yet. But it stands to reason that Goku could exist in other worlds. Perhaps one where his Saiyan programming wasn't undone and he became evil.

c) a Goku wished backed to life by some rudimentary or imperfect version of the dragonballs. Powerful enough to grant a wish but not properly. I imagine it's possible that in Trunks' timeline some powerful enemy he couldn't defeat again surfaced so somehow someway he attempted to bring Goku back. But for whatever reason he was resurrected imperfectly and became unstable or evil. This is the most unlikely option because as we know the balls don't exist in his world. Which is why I'm just taking a wild guess that some other version of them could exist somewhere in his universe.

d) see the above option only instead of using dragonballs perhaps Trunks and Bulma resorted to the only alternative they had left, creating an Android. Using Gero's technology and what genetic material they could salvage of Goku's. This would ideally be the one I'd find the most entertaining mostly for the irony of Trunks creating something he spent his life attempting to destroy.


These are all of course totally unfounded theories on my part but I sincerely hope there's a good explanation here. Future Trunks is still one of the best developed characters in the franchise despite the very small part of it that he officially inhabits. Xenoverse & Shin Budokai Another Road both did a great job of showing us just how different & simultaneously the same his future could be. So I'd like to see what Toriyama decides to use going forward here.

Maybe he's super saiyan Blue like Goku and Vegeta? ...I wouldn't put it past the Dragon ball writers.

The hell? After he created a new character which essentially was an evil Goku (Vegeta), supervised a movie in which an evil Goku-lookalike appears (Turles) Toriyama seriously feels the need to straight up introduce an "Evil Doppelganger" version of Goku in Super?

Since the arc is supposed to involve the gods too (and good, Beerus and Whis are by far the best thing to come out of Dragon Ball since Vegeta), this is my gut feeling early on as well.

Anyone watch the TeamFourStar Abridged series? One of the funniest things I've ever seen.

They just did "World's Strongest" (Movie 2) and are currently on the Cell Saga just when Cell reached Perfect Form.

The Champa arc also finished up and I do think it's the best saga in the show so far. It felt like a nice breath of air after the bad/meh retellings of the last two movies. I do want to hold for proper judgement on Goku Black and Future Trunks returning when we get more information for them.

We don't even know what Goku Black is. People are quickly assuming he or it will be like Tullece (Turles). I personally didn't like Tullece because I found his character to be rather boring. I also feel like Tullece remind me of Radditz too (Both are evil Saiyans that was not on Planet Vegeta when Freeza blew up it at the time. Both make their way toward Earth to check up on Goku and both of them want to wipe out all of the life on Earth. Both even ask Goku to join him and Goku refuse).

Most of the older DBZ movie villains remind me of the other past villains from the show (Lord Slug & Piccolo Daimao, Super #13 & Cell (Both are created by Dr. Gero's computer to kill Goku and can transform into his ultimate form by absorbing two other cyborgs), Janemba & Buu and Metal Coola & Cyborg Freeza).

Now that Super has been going on for a while, should I start from the beginning? I was never a fan of the Japanese voices so I've only watched the English dubs of Dragon Ball Kai which is still missing the Buu Saga I believe. :( When Super first aired I heard it wasn't too well received but haven't really looked into it in a while.


In other news, turns out Bandai is still creating Figure-rise models and they are releasing SSJ Goku and Frieza (Final Form).

Super has gotten better after the retellings of the movies. The Buu saga of Kai is believe to come out this year on Toonami. I don't think Super will get dubbed for a while since Toei probably wants a TV deal out of it. So maybe in 2017 on Toonami.

If you already seen the last two movies, start with Episode 28 since it takes place right after Goku defeats Freeza again.

I think that's the point.

I think this'll be a great alternative to some of the Figuarts as some of them go for ridiculous prices now.

Woah. Those all models or just the Freiza and Goku? Because ignoring even substitutions, the additions like the Buus and Gotenks would be pretty cool.

The new episode of Super was very funny and enjoyable. The scenes of baby Pan was very funny and cute to watch. One of my favorite slice of life episode so far.

I find it oddly enjoyable to see characters like Goku and company having a slice of life scenario. :lol


Also Piccolo basically being an overprotective father figure to Pan is freaking adorable.

They're all kits. Super excited for that Mecha Frieza one. Always dug that design.

It's probably going to be Xenoverse 2. I like the first XV game and I look forward on what they will do for a possible sequel.

There using artwork for Dragon ball Kinect on that teaser... That makes me feel uncomfortable.

We have images of the first DB show, GT and the other older DBZ films on the web site. I hope we will get characters from DB, GT and the 13 DBZ films. The first game also had a post-credit scene showing Mira is still alive.

Can't say I'm surprised Xenoverse is getting a sequil, if they make the character customization more in depth and add more transformation for the other Non sayain races I might pick this up.

The graphics look really good. This is what I want for the sequel:

- Better camera angle
- Able to switch between characters in team battles (2 vs. 2 or 3 vs. 3)
- Able to have transformations similar to Budokai 1-3
- A bigger and better character creation mode (Like Humans/Animals, Saiyans, Nameks, Majins, Freeza's Race, Kaioshins, Cyborg/Cell's race and Demons)
- A more deeper combat system
- Easier way to get Dragon Balls
- RNG is outright removed
- Make Freeza's Soliders, Appule, Cell Jr and Saibamen as NPC
