the way JDF is acting, talk about being "green with evil". his character in show was alright, just not the best. to be honest there were cooler characters appearing towards turbo 2 and space. although I will always like green and such, I think a lot of the Disney sixths and mentor rangers were much better written. to be honest Austin st john as red and gold is cooler I think, especially as gold.

Yeah the cheating thing needs to be quelled now. None of us nor this site condone cheating in any way shape or form. This has been a totally fair competition up til now. Mr Frank is the one endorsing such actions for fear of his characters losing. He and his diehard supporters see the numbers on Morphin Madness and assume that the people opposing them are cheating. In fact it's his mad dash social media campaing to be the "#1 ranger ever" that's causing that negative turn in votes for him. This is a fair competition right now, and there's no need to encourage people to participate in that way.

Is there some way we can report this to someone? (I'm afraid if we do, then JDF might call us out on the cheating too (even though we haven't) and screw it up for everybody)

The fact that he's accusing the "haters" of cheating and then turning around and encouraging his followers to use the same underhanded tactics is abhorrent. This is the man so many of us have idolized for years, that we have considered a hero?

Well reading this has changed my mind on JDF, as well as, making me get popcorn and going on ranger board and seeing what they have in mind over there.

Kinda sad to see an online sweepstakes for a children's show result in so much finger pointing and cheating. But I guess that's the internet.

I've been voting in interest of getting rare/unique keys produced* but I can understand people legitimately voting for JDF. MMPR was the most successful version of the show and he headlined it for several seasons. Of any grown ups possibly voting, there are just a raw larger number of people who have probably seen some of MMPR and nothing else. Kinda like Transformers nostalgia reaching mainstream with everyone thinking the G1 designs/toys are the best.

I still vote JDF.. only in the form of Dino Thunder Black because that'd be a rare US key.

There's speculation that Bandai of America was planning to make all of these keys anyways - some at SDCC, some at Power Morphicon, and some as possible "exclusive pack-ins" with toys at Toys'R'Us. Chances are they had every intention of all these keys being released.

Who couldn't see a Power Morphicon exclusive set of:

- Titanium
- Phantom
- Wolf Warrior
- White Mystic Ranger
- Blue Senturian

Makes perfect sense to me. And I can easily see a MMPR Green, MMPR White, Zeo Red, Turbo Red, Dino Thunder Black set for SDCC.

Eh. That last one is far too much of one character for me. I'd rather see a special release of Sixth Rangers or the MMPR keys. Which... is probably likely to happen anyway.

This thread never started with hate. This thread was always about discussing Morphin Madness, pining for votes for the Rangers you wanted to win, and at some point, some off-topic banter.

But when the entire idea of Morphin Madness is hijacked by Jason David Frank's comments and actions yesterday, it's going to turn almost any Morphin Madness discussion in to a pro or anti JDF tirade.

That's not something anyone in this fandom created - that's something he created.

The entire concept of Morphin Madness going forward is now forever ruined. If Jason David Frank's characters lose, people will cry foul and claim cheating happened. If Jason David Frank wins, we endure a week long rant about how he is the greatest Power Ranger of all time, probably another dig at "you can't stop me haters!", and just even more groaning that causes this whole thing to continue on even longer than it should.

There's negative feelings in this thread, yes. And there should be. No one should be able to call out his fans as haters, when there was literally no hating going on, and escape unscathed. Frankly, he should deliver a blanket apology for 1) calling a portion of his fans "haters" and 2) Encouraging his fans to cheat.

If you want to call that hate, go for it. I call it a reaction.

Heck, I just voted a few minutes ago and even after he posted the trick, DT White, Zeo Gold and In Space red were still very far in the lead. And we only have to keep any non-Tommy ranger in the lead until Monday. And since the Tommy rangers only kept the lead on Monday, and we've had the lead going strong up to now, I don't think that'll be a problem.
