Pumpkin Rapper, Tommy and Aisha singing all their lines in one episode, "Those evil pizzas were no match for a simple stoplight," Deca saying she's "Certified Turtlefied," this show is stupid fun. It always has been and always will be, even the 3 darkest "we're cancelled after this, go nuts" seasons had their fair share of camp.

And of course it is, that's the point. A parody for adult fans of the franchise. The show even blatantly makes it known in the promos for the next episode that kids shouldn't watch it.

That would never happen now. The cast changes with every season, and there are international laws in place to ensure only one of him can exist at a time.

As a more honest answer I don't know what you mean. There have been plenty since him with martial arts training, in fact every season before and since. So I don't know exactly what you mean by fights like him.

His fighting style was not unique to the franchise though.

What you mean pre or post Power Rangers? Because almost every Ranger actor/actress has martial arts training, hell its a requirement really for auditions. Post PR, I gues you mean the MMA he did for a bit? I guess if after their time as a Ranger they want to do that, I guess we could have 'another JDF' as you first put it.

His experience after being a ranger has no effect on the show. The only thing his experience now helps is to sell spots at his martial arts school on the fact that he was the green ranger. Doesn't help or hurt the show, so I see no reason why another JDF is needed.

If you are wanting a guy to have a ponytail and scream "E-sick e-yah!" overtime he kicks and punches, that can be added with ADR in post production.

I just watched the opening narration to Dino Charge. Has anyone ever noticed that every season they say the same thing? Every seasons power source is the "ultimate" power in the universe. So.... what does this truly say about the series' before? And what does it say about this current power source until the next series? :lolol

Nah. I like the rangers doing their own things outside of the suits.

I think this is one of the main things that hurt MMPR. All they did was fight in suits, out of suits, or prepare to fight. Literally everything they did was somehow related to them being rangers. Zordon and Alpha didn't pick 5 random teens, they picked the 5 most prepared to fight, lol.

They didn't even have attitude. Bulk and Skull fit Zordon's description better :p

But you have a point. The most attitude from the rangers came from Kimberly not wanting to mess up her hair in the helmet. And that was it. Any real show of attitude was either Bulk and Skull being the "bullies" or Tommy being evil.

Despite attempts, PR never thrived as a comic, and I have my doubts we'll be seeing a Power Rangers film series. With no show to promote the toys, I also don't think that we'll get toys should the series be off the air.

So, yeah. I don't think there's much wiggle room to the answer. Either it's dead or it's not in 15 years.

Perhaps in the future we coud have a season with a better budget.

This was perfectly believable up till the bit about Netflix. Yeah, the contract is about up, but unless there are some unseen issues between Saban and Nickelodeon, I don't know why they would choose to move rather than renew with them. Not unless Netflix made them a really good offer.
Possibly, but I wouldn't count on it. Depends on how he feels about Saban and the idea of coming in for a cameo, and also how much Saban would be willing to pay him to come in for it.

Saban Brands will still exist in 15 years ?

Saban Brands' main business is brand management, and they seem to be doing a very good job at it considering they're not a massive player in the market. I got the feeling since SCG formed Saban Brands and re-acquired Power Rangers back in 2010 that they're in it for the long run, and they've proven to be adept so far, with no major setbacks. They've also diversified their portfolio with a variety of franchises, which is very important as a safeguard against any risks in business.

So yeah, I do think Saban Brands will exist in 15 years and will still be going strong. They're here to stay for a long time.

Here's zany question/thought. If Super Sentai were to ever stop being produced (which we know will probably not happen anytime soon), what would that mean for Power Rangers? Would Saban finally do what we've been begging for and do an American original Power Rangers? Or would Saban just stop it all together?

This is just a thought and not meant to be some huge overdrawn argument of "will or won't happen". No need for the realists to step in and be all snooty and say things like "this isn't a good question because nobody knows", or be mean and rude. Just a speculative thought.

I would imagine Saban could have Toei to make original footage and suits for them if Sentai end up going on hiatus for a decade similar what happen with Kamen Rider. As long if toy sales are good then Power Rangers will keep on being made. Action shows for kids go by toy sales over ratings both in the US and Japan.

PR is cheap to make and filmed in one of the most diverse looking and cheap places to film in the world. That is how profits are maximized for the show.

I think Saban Brands would hire Toei to assist them in making a season after sentai ended and assess the drop or increase in profits after to see if it would be a financially sound decision to do it again. You have to consider all the things that will go into pre-production for the show that isn't on the agenda now; suit design, word design, weapon design, villain design, episode planning from scratch, and creating all morphed, unmorphed, and megazord fight choreography. That is quite an increase in the load on the production team. Now I think some of the people involved would love to be unhinged from whatever sentai decides to do, but Saban Brands might not like the increased production costs beyond doing it for a year; maybe two.

I would love to see it though; a chance to see what the folks at Saban Brands can come up with from scratch could be really interesting.

Bandai Japan profits are also made up of Power Rangers merchandise sold in America, because Bandai America is connected directly to Bandai Japan.

Thus, Bandai Japan may be the powerhouse behind it all if it should ever come to that.
