I really like cellphone changers, maybe because it's the first type of changers I've seen (MagiPhone), especially when they use the regular cellphone mode to transform and do stuff, like in Magi and Gaoranger. The Gaoranger Henshin is so cool, how they put the cell phone to their ear and shout Gao Access!
I also find gun changers like the Gaburivolver and unusual changers like the SP License and the Tensouder really interesting too. But then again, as long as it has some fancy sound effects and looks cool, I'm fine with anything (though swords are a bit of a problem on the toy size. The Ninja Ichibantou is soooo tiny! ;_;). |
The item i like most is Morphin Blaster of Jin/J Beet and Stag Buster.

If someday we have a insect-themed how would be the mechas ?

or at least that is my makeshift idea. |
Centipede is not a insect.

Okay grasshoppers as legs then. |

But they would be mystical or technological ?
|
Mystical insects? So like take actual insects and grow them to mech size? Or use them to henshin?
Technological is obvious, but the mystical would be neat in this what-if situation. |
I think the plot would be like B-fighter.
|
Make the mecha sort of like this except replace the Lobster, lol.

Like any other kid who grew up in the late 80s and early 90s I'm also a brace guy. Quite honestly among all braces, these (Go braces) are the ones i miss the most. "People's lives are Earth's future!" Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive!~

I'm glad today's Sentai is not like 80's and 90's Sentai. I think it's good the franchise always evolves. Every group of children who grew up with the show should have a certain style of series that is unique to their generation. It's what makes it special.
I found myself to enjoy whatever Sentai, as long as it's well-written and fun, but there's one show in almost every time I didn't like as much. For example, I didn't like Dairanger, but generally enjoyed 90's Sentai. I love 2000's Sentai, but I Boukenger wasn't my cup of tea etc. Also, I'm fine with both technology- or fantasy-themed Sentai as long as the story can grab me. But I tend to prefer fantasy themes because I just like that genre in general (that's why I started Magiranger and thus Super Sentai in the first place). As for the changer, I honestly don't care. I'm fine with whatever they come up with- except Starninger's burger maybe, but oh well. |
What's wrong with 80's and 90's sentais ?
|
Nothing. But 90's Sentai are 90's Sentai, 80's Sentai are 80's Sentai and today's Sentai are todays Sentai. I'm glad that every decade is different, because it's more fun that way.
|
Sometimes i think how would be the sentais in the future.I mean they will be different than today ?

The thing about older sentai is that they stay in the same trope for so long and fall into so many clichés. Makes the show boring to me when I know what's going to happen next. |

70's, 80's, and 90's sentai stuck to a pretty rigid format with the story arcs, the rangers, and the villains. Each show had a villain that would betray the main villain or have a moment of redemption, there was always a ranger with something from their past they tried to keep hidden, the ranger that was overly care-free and it annoyed the "by the books" ranger; that stuff gets old when you see that for about 20 straight years. The newer seasons do have more variety in the characters and have added to the tropes while getting rid of others.
No era of sentai is perfect, but each offers something that is better than the previous. Like Suzu said, it is good to see the show evolve. Go-Busters took the old school/80's and 90's approach to a season and it is considered an overall failure. I think that is all the proof that Toei needed to veto the idea of making the show like they use to two decades ago. |

6 members isn't even "old", considering that the first 6th ranger appeared in Zyuranger- which is season 16.
And how are extra rangers crap? Some of them are pretty cool, like those in Deka- or Magiranger. |
Extra members have even been around since old school sentai. Remember big one?
|
Yeah but jackq was only four members back in the day.

A sixth member is enough.

There was a 6th ranger before Burai. And he was green. But I can't think of which Sentai he was part of.

Abarekiller is the fifth and I think people consider him an extra member. |

He was only in one episode though. |
Oh. Well, at least he was there. I remember reading something about him years ago. They mentioned something about him being like the prototype 6th ranger.
