Wow, great work! Personally, I noticed the differences right away. I'm glad I could be of help. It really does bring me joy. I'm relatively new to this line, so I've been doing this to my figures as soon as I take them out of the box. Because of that, I never considered that this method might not be as effective on older figures or on stickers that have lost their adhesive. Sorry for that.

If you're ever in doubt, slather on more nail polish; especially on the edges of the stickers. The worst thing that can happen is your figures look a little more glossy.

I was a little sparing with Night Rogue, for fear of either ruining the figure or using up the borrowed nail polish, but by the time I got to Rocket Panda I was just caking it on. Would've used more, but it's a little precarious with the older/looser stickers. They can peel up while you're applying it, leaving them unadhered and partially sealed. It's like, you coat them, but they peel up before the polish can dry enough to re-enforce the bond, and now they can't stick to the figure. It's very tricky.

Still, I think it's a huge help on older figures. Probably better as a preventive measure than a rehabilitation, but I used my worst figure and it came out well above-average. That's a total win as far as I'm concerned. Thanks again!

Now that you know that specific nail polish works without destroying paint/stickers, try to stay with whatever brand it was. Different nail polishes have different formulas and some work better than others.

I'm gonna try! Pretty happy with how these came out, so I'll have to grab the name of that brand. (I already returned the bottle, conscientiously/stupidly.) I might also grab a couple cheap bottles from Walgreens and test them out on the now-superfluous unsealed Night Rogue and Grease. While it's cool that my roommate's brand was a success, I don't necessarily want to get locked into their brand if the corner store has plenty of kinds that work.

The good news is, assuming you've got a SO-DO to test it on, it's a cheap process that is very forgiving. Bottles of clear coat polish are just a few bucks and can be found everywhere, and the application process is all about maximizing coverage. It's not like panel lining where you're sweating over how precise you can be; just pop that figure apart and start coating. Unhappy with the seal after it dries? Add another coat! (Like I said, I was a little sparing at first, so I did a few smaller coats on Grease. Would've been better going HAM on it.)

I genuinely think it's worth giving a try. Even if you don't end up thinking the end result is a huge improvement, it's going to make your current stickers a little more resilient, a little more glossy. I'd say it's easily worth the ten or so minutes you'll actually spend coating it.

I like to think Shodo-X is doing Ex-Aid because Tetsuya Iwanaga wants another action figure of himself and Dan Kuroto would fit in Shodo-O.

I honestly hope they don't go halfway with these and make at least all of the base forms for riders, even if it takes a year or so.

That's always my fear with a new line. At least with Heisei complete, the chances are a lot higher we'll get all the lead rider base forms.

Shodo has recently been showing greater intent towards that with them doing the Agito and Blade secondaries. Kabuto which just started also has the Hoppers

What about the already existing Ex-Aid So-Do? Its more limited than current So-Do or So-Do Chronicle, but it's more in scale than Shodo. When Die bought some Shodo awhile back, i believe he said they were a good deal smaller than So-Do

Sho-Do and So-Do are indeed different scales.

I'd love to have those but I can't find any, at least at reasonable prices. Also, is the size really that different or like Figuarts and FRSs?

I just measured it myself and So-Do figures stand about 2 centimeters taller.

SO-DO Ex-Aid in he middle, flanked by Shodo ZO and Ryuki. A little shorter, but mainly just less massive.
Taking this has just made me want more Shodos though, so that was a mistake.

Shodos are a little higher quality, with better possibility and paint applications. They are a made from a softer plastic and the accessories usually come out of the package all bent, but it does include alternate hands. Even in Japan, I would say they are rarer and more prized (judging by aftermarket prices). Outside of Japan, near impossible to get a hold of.

Next up, yup; that heavily leaked wave of Shodo-X 11 is here! Ex-Aid Level 2, Mighty Brothers XX, Riderman and his bike! They all come with a good weapon loadout between the Gashacon Breaker, Gashacon Key Slashers and a full set of Cassette Arms. This wave releases in December!

I'm surprised Eden's the first Zero-One figure we get in Saber. Figured Ark-Scorpion or Naki might be it. Guess with Zi-O in Zero-One we got the the summer movie and V-cine stuff before finally getting Tsukuyomi, so there's a chance we might not get Naki till Saber wave 9. Eden looks great though. Very sticker heavy. N-Daguva-Zeba also looks fantastic, a great representation of a gorgeous suit. There's some really wonderful stuff coming out of So-Do lately!

Do any of you guys use decoupage glue to seal your sodo's? It's made for sealing puzzles and scrapbooking so it won't eat away at the stickers. You can get it at Walmart or any craft stores. I use satin finish to keep that semi gloss look. Matte works too. I would not use gloss though. Gloss takes days to dry and the weeks to fully cure.
