It seem there's a bundle for both lion and dragon. The toys never stops. It's more obvious when they pause to let the book read out a blurb of narration before henshin as well as unlike build or ghost where's there's only two riders at first using trial forms. We're getting more new character debut every week. We didnt get time to developed anyone. If someone just watch this week epsiode without context of previous episodes, they would expect wow these swordsman must be very close friends. We just skip all the middle parts. Looks like we're not getting any time to breathe even if the aesthetic of the shows is top notch right now. Minus slash even if the actor is cool.

I'd imagine (without knowing) that they might do a thing where you can get the booster with either Blades or Saber's book and then be free to buy the other separately, sort of how you can get the Hondaner with or without the Zero-One Book or the Ride Watch Dizer with or without the Den-O Ride Watch. That's just my guess, though.

Wait, I just noticed that the Ankokuken Kuroyami's trigger is on the other side of the hilt compared to the other swords. And yet Calibur holds his sword the same way Saber does. So instead of pulling the trigger with his index finger, does he use his thumb or something? Or am I missing something here? I'm so confused.

Both of them hold their swords with the trigger forwards. In toy form, most Kamen Rider weapons have a "good side" with all the painted details, light-up elements, places to activate other features, and everything else that you'd want to show off about it, while the "bad side" has the speaker, battery compartment, screw holes, all the parts that are needed to make it work as a toy but don't look so good.

And most Kamen Riders hold their weapon with the good side facing inwards towards their body, probably because it's easier to get shots of the weapon's good side that way and makes it easy for them to activate its features with their other hand. Also it means that when you're holding the toy, the good side is facing towards you.

But if you watch the way Saber, Blades and Espada draw their swords, you'll notice that the front of the sword while it's sheathed ends up on the outside when it's drawn, facing away from their body. And since obviously the good side is the side you want facing forward in the belt, that means those swords are flipped compared to most other Kamen Rider weapons, with the good side on the outside!

Neither did I, the only Toku toys I've picked up in the oast three years are Sodos starting last year but somehow I clearly remember it being the daizer and expansion parts.

Weirdly, the whole "flipped good side" of the respective swords means that when Calibur transforms he does hold Kurayami with his thumb at the trigger, albeit upright, because while it normally faces inwards it needs to face outwards for the henshin to look any good!
As for the Booster, I'd assume it's a situation like the Assault Grip: one of Dragonic Knight and King Lion will come with the booster, and you can pick up an extra one separately if you need (the two pack would presumably have it too). If I could remember the prices of the listings that would all but confirm it, as the Grip last year went for very cheap having no electronics.

I doubt it since japanese merchants and message board forum would still be able to get a hand on it and its impossible toei or bandai wouldn't know toy scan for any anime or toku generally will get leak since the early 2000s.

I think we should be receiving 3rd quarter toy listing this month since the toys weren't push back. It probably won't be elaborate color prints, but we would be getting an idea on who's getting a upgrade. Kento will def get an upgrade perhaps he will dwarf blade and saber before getting dwarf again in their final forms. So far, kento feel more like the secondary rider than blade with his caliber complex . Blade got a thing for zoous, but it didnt go too far. There isn't much room for a character like him to grow as much as kento.

I'm curious how the show would do if the rest of the supporting riders didnt exist. Instead their weapons and books correlated to being trial forms or early elemental forms . It'll be like ghost and spectre using various eyecons and weapons. There's just way too many characters. We got 5 villains . 6 riders. Sophia. Southern base. The msuterious hooded man . Tassel and original caliber.

The three Swordriver riders are all gonna get their fair share of development. Rintaro is guaranteed too, since he's getting a super form. Maybe he'll have a rivalry of some sort in the Southern base.

The ones I could see not getting much development would be the non-seiken users. Ren and Daishinji especially.

Now that would be a cool plot twist! I'm not sure how that's possible though since Zooous seems pretty convinced he killed Kenshin and considering how he spared Rintarou as an insult, he doesn't kill just any swordsman, only those who earn his respect. It's interesting how the suit designs that use living thing books are least appealing to me compared to those that use legendary creature and story books and yet their corresponding characters, Rintarou and Zooous, are so far my favorite of their respective trios.

In Ryusoulger, the previous knight motif Tokusatsu, I was 99.9% sure that the Masters would revive somehow due to the pendant in Episode 9, their initial lack of characterization and the common trope of people miraculously coming back to life. But I was wrong! Only Master Black lived in the end. Green was an exception to the expectation since he only appeared as a silhouette in flashbacks and his backstory was told from a third person perspective.

Initial lack of characterization is also applicable to the mentors in Saber with justification that at least one of them was dead from the start but still appeared fully in flashbacks and spoke lines unlike Master Green. However, Saber derives a lot of themes and morals from faerie tales so even if Kenshin is dead, maybe him coming back to life is a possibility. I would really like to see him make a comeback possibly as a new Rider and his actor deserves to have a less posthumous role for once! This show is written by the same person who revives Takeru (wait, let me count) 5 times after all so I can hope.

Kento isn't a Calibur like his father was, so his mentor is probably someone else who used to be Espada unless Ikazuchi didn't exist 15 years ago and Kento only became Espada cause the Calibur Driver and Kurayami weren't available. I think the former is more likely and that all three Seiken Swords compatible with the Seiken SworDriver were made around the same time, after Kurayami, Gekido and Hayate and before Suzune.

Oh, actually on a slightly unrelated note; for Rintarou's moment where he takes out the Tenkuu no Pegasus WRB of its case, I think it would have been cool if in the flashbacks, we saw that it was his master's main book, like if they let us see what Blades would look like if he only used that. I just think it would be an even more emotional moment if that were the case, but maybe that's just me!

It's definitely not just you. I totally agree. I think Pegasus, Journey and Cerberus look great as alternative Issatsu forms and it would have been cool if the previous Sword Riders used those as their defaults. I also want to see Blades and Espada use some Wonder Rider forms.

Oh I'm glad it's not just me! And yeah, I agree about the Wonder Rider thing too. It's a shame only Saber has done it so far out of the three. But I guess Toei and Bandai didn't leave a lot of room for it with the lack of variety in the types; there's a definite surplus of story books.

And speaking of; I do hope that we get a battle at some point where they do go all out of Wonder Rider; Saber Dragon-Hedgehog-Peter, Blades Cerberus-Lion-Saiyuu and Espada Pegasus-Eagle-Alangina. I just think it'd be a cool moment since the latest episode was about their bond and friendship, so them each using a book from each element would not only be cool as a character moment, but would also just be a bit of fun with the gimmick, like whenever we'd get to see Gaim use Lockseeds not normally associated with him.

I get the vibe that the various Sacred Swords have pretty much always been around? Like, I don't think Kamijo was the First Saber, just the Previous Saber. We know from the spin-off short that Gekido and Suzune were both around fifteen years ago too, so presumably Ikazuchi was and I'd wager that Hayate was too!
...I was about to say "obviously with a different user, because Akamichi/Kenzan is about fourteen", but then again we saw from Retsuden that whilst Daishinji was active as Slash 15 years ago neither he nor Ogami looked any younger, so its possible that being a sword-wielder freezes or slows your aging...

It's also entirely possible that they just aren't human and don't have equivalent aging to us; if Rintarou's "no normal homo sapiens can wield a seiken" is anything to go by.

6 of those aren’t going to happen. The base Ridebooks are a required part of the transformation.

I understand why there are so many story books since they're the most abstract and complement the show's themes, but yeah, it doesn't help the gimmick. I like the functionality of the Seiken SworDriver with 3 books but it feels like legendary creatures and living things are just there to fill the gaps. Maybe it would have been better if each book was connected to a story in a different way.

Yeah, the Book of Ancients created the world so Sword of Logos might be a few aeons old at least, which is too broad a timeline to place the invention of each individual Seiken Sword but if Suzune was around 15 years ago then the others probably were as well. That's why I think there was a previous Espada. He might have been stationed at Southern Base considering Reika had his Tri Cerberus book.

The most recent episode felt like a Xmas new year twist episode done early . We hardly know any of the cast in depth and we're hyping and reeling in all the stakes. Next week we are getting jaoh drgaon despite base calibur didnt amount to much.

As for Kento & Touma I was assuming that if it does do something to ageing (could still just be that Slash looks young for his age and Buster looked older than he was in the past) then that would only happen when they became the wielder of a Seiken, so wouldn't have been the case 15 years ago. Luna I couldn't even speculate about, I'd love her to be a rider in Q2 but we really don't know enough yet!

It’s going off the hypothetical form generator and the toys. The former automatically inserts one of those three books depending on who you chose and the latter doesn’t produce any unique sounds with the other books without that one that came with the emblem.

According to the hypothetical form generator, it's just like any other three-book Wonder Rider. But it would be awesome if in the story combining their three base books did something important, like maybe create a shared power-up for all three of them based on the Three Musketeers!

The 9 Wonder Combo books all have unique jingles when used by themselves, something that would be an odd thing to implement if they didn’t intend for that to be theoretically possible (though it is true that, say, Pegasus and Peter don’t get a special jingle like Pegasus/Lion and Lion/Peter do).

Oh for sure, your theory that Seiken Swords freeze or slow down aging is actually quite plausible so far.

I was only disputing Kurona's speculation that the reason is biological rather than magical, to which I contested that Kento and Daishinji don't age consistently with each other.

It's also plausible as you say that Daishinji simply looks really good for his age. Zero One had a more extreme example with a 45 year-old character played by a 22 year-old so there's a chance that we're overthinking it like people, myself included, did with Gai.

That's what I believe as well. It would be counterproductive for Bandai to deliberately program the Seiken SworDriver to make the Brave Dragon "base" book non-variable when used in Rekka mode, effectively turning Saber in to a lesser Build instead of the better OOO he's designed to be, as conveniently shown in your collection. The lack of Pegasus Peter jingle for Blades on the other hand can be justified as a feature they simply decided not to include.
