That suit is legend... wait for it... okay. It's okay. Never really seen an attempt to iterate on Decade's design that found a way to improve on the original.
|
I did not have Decade+Beast on my bingo card but I'm not mad about it.

After all, Decade has always had ridiculous suits/forms, surely Legend would look more outrageous. And sure enough, it wasn't. Not that I'm complaining, since I strangely like the design (I really am easy to please when it comes to designs and aesthetic). |
THAT LOOKS A KAMEN RIDER DECADE UPGRADE
unlike complete and 21 I love the design it really is an improvement on decade's design. Granted I'm amused its a spin off so i wonder if that means Kamen Rider Legend wont appear in the main like at all unless for a single ep. |
I hate that Legend is a Special Rider, not something for the series.
|
Actually, Legend's ties to the series is something I'm really curious about if only because of one detail, and that's that according to the leaks his toy is retail not P-Bandai. I can't remember that last time a Rider who was tied to a special or one off (be it ttfc or youtube) had a retail toy or at least not in recent years anyway.
Because of this I can't help but wonder if Legend will be a bit more involved in the series than just this special even if only a little. |

Personally, I think he resembles Decade just because of his head. And it looks quite in the style of movie riders. It seems to me that he has no place in the main show, if only because he uses non-canon Chemies. Although I think we’ll see at least a couple of cameos to promote his film/special.
|
Holy cow! this sounds sick as hell yeah!
|
Considering it's technically the 25th season if you count heisei and rewia as the same era as I do it makes sense for him to be there.
|
Please let it be Narutaki. Please let it be Narutaki. Please let it be Narutaki. :lolol
|
I think everyone is so caught up in Decade that they're ignoring the other analogy. Given Valvarad's physical similarity to Machine Chaser, it seems entirely possible to me that Legend is Gotchard's Kamen Rider Lupine. The absence from the main show, the confrontation with the main character, the golden armor - everything is the same. Of course, there are plenty of references to Decade too.
|
Whoever is our kamen rider Legend the person playing him is most likely some form of royalty as Legend is wearing gold and precious gems.
|
ohgawd. its a reiwa Decade. xD
be funny if its just Tsukasa who decided to use a new suit and a new name for the new era. (because 21 was just ridiculous) |

By the way, interestingly, among the cards of legendary riders there is no one from Reiwa. |

Seiichiro Nagata will play the Legend-ary Rider.

Joking aside this seems to be his first ever toku role according to his resume having mostly done stage plays before this, so best of luck to him. And it appears Hotaro will go to Legend's world, in other words, a parallel universe. |

More images of Kamen Rider Legend, looks like the rumor of him having Zenrin Shooter type weapon was also true (thank you Color). Also here's a look at Gotchard Exceed Mighty form.
|
Dudes' got style, I'll give him that.
|
I dig Exceed Mighty, especially love the way they combined the design elements of Faiz's Photon Blood going into the Mighty Anklet.
The fact that form is all gold means, the designers don't need to deal with certain Rider's colors clashing together. Also possibly explains why Legend himself is Gold. The Zi-O Faiz Armor Shoulder is a bit obvious. But at the same time, what else are they gonna do not use it? |

Something interesting to note about the villain for the Legend special, if you look closely you can see he's holding a ride watch.
Also Color recently posted that apparently something is cooking regarding Decade next year (15th anniversary). Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Decade vs. Legend special next year on ttfc or something. |

Official images of the DX Legend Driver & DX Legend Ride Magnum, both releasing December 2nd as retail releases. The Legend Ride Magnum appears to function as Chemy Riser only instead of summoning Chemys he summons Riders instead. Also the description for the DX Legend Driver says it has a BGM feature so that's neat. Lastly there's an image for phase 2 of the tcg, no official release date yet (as far as I'm aware) but if the rumors are to be believed then it's coming sometime in November.
|
Okay, it flat-out bugs me that the Legend Ride Magnum, which is clearly modeled after a Rider Machine, doesn't seem to have any turn-into-a-bike function.
Oh. Wait a second. Okay, so the Legend design overall seems mostly like a combination of Decade and Beast. but there's also some OOO TaJaDor to the mask. The gun literally comes with the OOO and W cards. The gun doesn't look like it has a back half that rotates in any direction to reveal the rest of a bike, but maybe there's still a bike gimmick that uses the W "replace the back half of the Hardboilder" thing. I don't see any listing for a Souchaku Henshin Legend. Maybe a bike back-half might be included with that...? All baseless speculation, of course, but man, that bike front-half looks strange. |

Winter movie poster.
|
So something cool that's happened is that new Gotchard Card App thing that's been advertised is actually giving us the concept art for Rider Form versions of the Wild Modes we've seen, and even ones we haven't seen.

Neat, I dig OdoriMantis and BulletChoucho
|
I am not sure if they are just a fun bonus item or if they will be relevant to the Winter movie, but all the Geats cards featured on the poster have alternate artwork from their original cards. So far Geats, Tycoon, Na-Go, and Buffa have different artwork.
Alas poor Punkjack. From the moment he appeared in the show, us Punkjack fans stay losing. |

So I decided to look at the alt. art for the Ride Chemy Cards, and I started to notice a pattern. All of the cards with alt. art (aside from the Legend Riders) have been pretty notable forms that're shown and focused on. Like Hopper1 and Steamliner were a given for sure, but then I noticed that the other cards were GoldDash, AppareBushido, Skebows, Antrooper, and Wrestler G in Phase 01. It stopped being a coincidence for me when I saw that the alt. art for Phase 02 included SaboNeedle, HawkStar, and MechaniChani.
So that made me start to theorize that another way of telling what forms will be relevant and actually important is if they have alt. art. So if that's the case, then Junglejan and Raidenji are gonna be important forms as well. Which also makes me upset, because that means that Batkingrobo (the form between Yamibat and Renkingrobo) is not gonna be an important form, and that was another form I really wanted to see, too. Of course, I might not be the first one to have come up with this idea, but I don't think I've seen anyone else posit this idea anywhere. |
Something that I thought of, given how SteamHopper is the main form, with one of the cards being a 9, you’d think that any form using a #9 card would be an actual suit as opposed to cgi.

OdoriMantis uses a #9 card as well, and was only cgi (so far). What particularly makes the other #9 cards so special? |
Just realized that all the Legend Rider forms are named in a pseudo-Orb style.
Exceed Mighty - named after Faiz’s Exceed Charge and Kuuga’s Mighty Form. Ground Heracles - slight change named after Agito’s Ground Form and the Change (Heracles) Beetle Rouze Card. Damashii Vent - named after Ryuki’s cards (all of which are named [description] Vent), and Ghost’s Damashii forms. TaikoGamer - named after Taiko drums (which are the basis for the Ongekiko) and Ex-Aid’s Gamer forms. Clock Battou - named after Kabuto’s Clock Up and the “Rekka Battou” announcement from the Swordriver. Rising Liner - named after Zero-One’s Rising Hopper form and Den-O’s DenLiner Gabu Magic - named for Kivat’s “Gabu” call when he bites Wataru and Wizard’s magic abilities Anniversary Time - named for both series’ anniversary status and Zi-O’s “Rider Time” announcement Cyclone Tatoba - named for W’s Cyclone Memory and OOO’s Tatoba Combo Full Full Rocket - named for Build’s Full Fullbottle and Fourze’s Rocket Switch Hanamichi on the Road - named for the Orange Lockseed’s “Hanamichi on Stage” announcement, with “road” referencing Drive’s vehicle motif |
I kinda wanna know how the Wild Modes look for these Legend Rider Combo forms.
|
Given that the Wild Modes tend to involve the armor reconfiguring…
