For Hoenn, I had to dig out my original DS so I could transfer Gen 3 mons into Gen 4. It was annoying.

Little did you know that they would announce the gen 3 remakes, made me feel kind of stupid because it happened a month after i completed my Hoenn dex.

Eh. I feel more accomplished because I didn't have to rely on a crutch. I got them all, Deoxys and Jirachi included~

Technically I got my national Dex complete but I only have the seen complete. I didn't know I actually had to catch them to count for the shiny charm. With that I only have 608 caught. *le sigh*

I'm not implying that you didn't. I'm implying that, due to the nature of the original games, it's unlikely that they'll include them in the remakes.

Makes me wonder if they'll make events for Deoxys and Jirachi next year now that you mention it.

Do you guys think they'll bring over or even expand on Kalos' character customization in the RSE remakes? I think X and Y went in the right direction with that and I hope it is expanded upon in the future games.

There are many Pokemon who are low tier that I like. Probopass, Cradily, Weezing, Garbodor, Claydol, and Armaldo for starters.

Beauty hasn't existed for a while. Prism Scale is your solution, and they're easy to obtain, respawning daily in Couriway Town's waterfall after you've taken enough steps.

Swiss is like round robin, but you don't play absolutely every other player. I'm no expert on it and when I've had it explained to me before by people who do complete, it always sounded stupid (usually because whatever algorithm is used screwed them out of a tournament even though they were doing better than people who moved on). I just know it's what official Pokémon tournaments use, even though I'm not much of a fan since it does seem pretty random at times.

Double elimination it is then? Only other option [using this service] is a real round robin, but then that's kind of pushing it with availabilities and matchmaking opportunities.

Well, technically, Beauty still does exist. While there is no possible way to raise it, if you increase a Feebas's beauty to maximum and trade/transfer it into Gen 5 or 6, it would still evolve without a Prism Scale.

But this is just a technicality since you can't raise the stat, so I don't know what relevance it has. :p
